I always thought it was great how Julien carried the memory of his father forward over the years. I mean, this song sounds to me like something John would have sang back in the day. Like Imagine or Woman.

Such an underrated and forgotten classic of the 80s. I really hoped at the time for Julian to be a superstar like his dad. John was a legend, Julian was an enigma.

I remember when this song came out when I was 10 or 11 and I couldn't stand it. But listening to it after all these years, I actually have a new appreciation for it and find it beautiful.
it's a killer, even though it's Julian and it's sounds so sweet and amazing his voice and this song is so incredibly beautiful, you just can't help thinking about John, and how dad and his baby are so inrcedibly talented and their voices are so heartwarming, they really are one of a kind.

Wow this song really take me back in time. Julian sounds exactly like his father in this. The first time I heard this song and Too Late for Goodbyes, I thought John had miraculously come back to us from the grave. This could easily have been the kind of music he might have recorded and released had he not been murdered. Oh what could have been... *SIGH*

Valotte his debut album was very popular , it gets a lot of radio at the time , and i think this album it's fucking brillian ! i know after this he didn't produced anything similar , but he's now a photographer and the reason he retired from music was because he was tired of the weight of the name LENNON , the last thing he wanted was the fame of his father
My theory is that Julian inherited 1% of his father's genius and spent it writing and singing this song and "Too Late for Goodbyes" and that was it. Now you can find him in the cutout bin along with Frank Sinatra Jr. and Dweezil Zappa.

@ultranohe I truly believe that Julian has very little to say. He delivers his music well, but I sense that he is only going through the motions. His music needs verve and passion towards it's meaning. At the beginning, he had it. He seems to have lost it in his product for the last decade or more. It's never too late you know........Someone of his stature will get more than a second chance.

True Julian wanted to be a musician like his father, but he had no interest in competing with him so why put all that stress on him. It is possible to get it as an import in the US but you should go to his FB page to find out that info. He posts their regularly & even replies to fans. Good guy with a good heart. @stratmad I agree, I was stationed in Germany when this came out on the German music show Formel Eins. It was almost eerie seeing and hearing him - remember, it was only a few years after the loss of his father.
