i got a 99 metro 3 banger 5spd get 50 mpg has a k&n filter new tune up it isnt that freekin slow cmoun its economy car .its around 60 horsepower now but they are light as hell.

i had one. 1.0 3 cyl. cold ac, hot heater, fantastic gas mileage, $20 for tires (my friend owns a tire shop),would do 80 on the highway if needed and made from steel not plastic so it will take a beating. i recommend this car for any parents looking to buy their kid a first car or anyone that just wants one of the best possible eco cars.

I doubt you can find any other car that was as cheap, gets better mileage,isnt THAT slow.... geo metros are awesome TINY cars, dont compare your V8 muscle cars to these.... @dasieewolf they're cheap for a reason, they're not reliable and they're also very unsafe in a crash, i had a 92 metro and it was scary to drive, wouldn't drive one again without a roll cage put in, Suzuki is the least reliable japanese, possibly overall manufacturer, if you like japanese stick with a Toyota, like a 90's Camry or Corolla, those are reliable

Honda had a couple models of the Civic that got within 1 or 2 mpg of the most efficient Metro and they had quite a bit more power.

They have a 1.0L 3 Cylinder metro and a 1.3L 4 cyclinder. I "think" there is a 1.1 or 1.3L 3 cyclinder also, but don't quote me on that, just seemed like i seen one in my friends shop once. The one in this video look like the 1.3L 4 Cylinder version.
