  • Autodesk products are getting so much worse, its really disappointing as most game devs are using Maya 2007 or 2010. Which are getting behind. Maxon's Cinema4D has never had any bugs that have stopped people from upgrading. Every release just gets better.

  • Why get 3DS Max if C4D does everything it does just in different ways and its easier to use.

  • I love the new modeling improvements. And I love that maxon improved the existing modeling tools instead of adding 10000 new tools like it autodesk does.

Seems like maxon understands the needs of Artists.

  • how come the top comment desn't has any likes?

  • Where Auto Switch Mode in r13??

polygon, edge, vertex change selection now is bad!!!

  • I can say Maxon took so much inspiration form XSI and it seems they still taking. Like sticky keys and interactive modeling pivot.

  • Damn, too fast.. Cant wait for it.

  • bye autodesk!! eat maxon's dust!

  • @erickaustria 3ds max is a professional tool, and they release new releases every year with 2-3 minor updates, yes its a good application but it costs a shit load, cinema 4D is user friendly with some impressive tools and the new r13 just proves that.

  • @fenikzart I totally agree with you, I've using 3ds max for more than 5 years, it's a good software, but maxon really impress me since version 10. I been using C4D since 2008 ...guess what I haven't experience application crash, C4d is more stable :)

  • Suck It MAYA AND MAX,!!!!!

  • so some changes in the axis, in some tools, and in modeling.

but i didint understand why this "holding ctrl+shift and generate a path between two polygons" is necessery

  • WOW FANTASTIC, BETTER THAT MAYA AND MAX,. ALL YOURS TEACHER NICK CAMPBELL !!

  • Even though I am excited about R13, you should've added some new modelling features. One feature in XSI that id like to be implemented in C4D is when you extrude a surface, all the polygons around the edge of that extrude can be placed into a perfect rounded shape. Also being able to deform your hypernurbed objects polygons in its hypernurb state but also in its base shape - which is something you can find in 3Ds max.
