Actually we are warming at a time when the natural cycle is to head into the next ice age.

We are causing the warming. We are also cooling the earth with Global Dimming so much that the warming effect might be twice as strong as we thought.

We are also well inot feedbacks. The Arctic is not as shiny white because of melt. The arctic/ sub arctic is releasing methane rapidly like rooting food from a defrosting freezer.

Oceans are reducing carbon absorbtion and ioncreasing CO2 release.

I think the pattern of ice melting and freezing is one that repeats itself every so many years no matter what people do. But change in sea levels? if you had a glass filled w/ice cubes, then you fill it with water and leave it outside, eventually the ice will melt. But this doesn't cause a rise in the water level in the glass; it won't make the water spill out and over.

The ones who claim that glaciers are melting AND that this is due to global warming, or the overwhelming number of opposing scientists who prove that the glaciers are in fact growing in both Antarctica and Greenland? PLEASE give me one credible scientific study in your favor. We should take care of the Earth, there's no denying that... if not for God, then for ourselves. But, nobody is going to bully me into believing that styling my hair or driving my SUV is going to add an inch to the glaciers. We have no control over melting or growing glaciers, they have ALWAYS fluctuated... but they are shrinking right now. Like I said, it's just another reason to tax us.

Global Warming is a misleading title, its climate change you should think of. So yea the ice melts, but you will probably get alot more, and more powerfull storms/hurricanes than before, deserts will grow, crops will die ect ect. Drinking water shortage. The sea level will rise by as much as 7 meters ect ect, we will survive, but it will be a crushing blow.

And there is only one major glacier system in the world retreating, the rest continue to advance. I'm not making that fact up. Looks like you stopped your research a bit too short from the end. I read a lot about contestation of GW too, and it was much interesting; but there is indeed a correlation between industrial production and Earth's average temperature in the last 150 years - and insufficient datas about other planets to even compare. The most credible anlysis in my opinion is that there is really some increase in solar activity, but human-produced CO2 also plays a role. But that doesn't mean Kyoto is the way out

Or is it that global warming is just a load of BS. We have the short seasons every year but there's plenty of evidence to show that average temperatures change over extended periods of time. Think of global "warming/cooling" as the big pappa of the yearly seasons.

@SauronsEye i do understand what you are saying, but during all of earth's previous ice ages, the temperatures did rise but not because of high levels of carbon dioxide and methane in the air. But our current perdicament is the fact that we are releasing the carbon dioxide and methane that has been trapped in the earth for millions of years in our hope to get energy. the difference is that a temperature rise caused by high levels of these chemicals is much harder to reverse.
