Did you know...Pepsi wanted to use Van Halen's song "Right Now" for their commercial but the guys didn't want to? According to Alex Van Halen that after VH refused Pepsi sayed that they would record a version close to it and that the band wouldn't make a penny from it. They gave in and sayed okay. Van Halen's very anal about things like that. They try to be like Led Zeppelin who is the most anal with lending their music out (Expect for that car commercial!).

I read somewhere that darker colored drinks are more likely to cause kidney stones. So they should reintroduce this cause people are more health conscious now. Also, the people who get kidney stones alot but love the cola taste would probably be interested in Crystal Pepsi. Pepsi just has to come up with a better marketing campaign than this commercial showed.

I remember Crystal Pepsi tasting just like regular Pepsi. Of course, this was back in 1991, when I was 11 or 12, so I may not be remembering it correctly. I don't get why it didn't catch on; even if it didn't taste like Pepsi like I remember, I don't think it was that bad.

Yeah this stuff was Nasty! It was around the same time they were doing those "blindfolded" taste tests with coke. I remember my aunt drinking it all the time and saying it was just a placebo effect that's why everyone said tasted different but no I'm sorry just leaving out the caramel coloring can't make you think its bad it was...

This is what these big corporations do they pitch something new ( Crystal Pepsi!, Pepsi Blue, dnL, Dr. Pepper Red Fusion, etc.), have it on the store shelves for a while, have someone like Britney Spears sponsor it, and then before you can say, " I'm going to the store to pick up some Crystal Pepsi!!"It's gone!!!! and then the companies have a big laugh about it.Please, bring Crystal Pepsi and Pepsi Blue back and have it here to stay.

on a side note, i remember back in 1991-ish i was in 6th grade ,i drank this shit until its ending somewhere in 1992 ish. why they discontinued it is far beyond me.

It's funny that so many people thought Crystal Clear Pepsi sucked or tasted bad. It was literally all of the ingredients of regular pepsi, without the dyes that had been linked to cancer and were becoming unpopular at the time. It literally was exactly the same taste of regular pepsi but the liquid was clear. This played tricks on people's minds that made them feel it must have tasted different. In fact, it was just regular Pepsi. Pepsi sucks but only because it tastes bad on it's own.

@WiiClassic2usb well since 7-up has been reformulated several times since its launch in 1929. Im guessing the same with pepsi. And back then some chemical that were harmful for you was not banned from drinks. But i guess your right about it being clear because of no added caramel colouring.
