  • wait wait... wait a fucking moment! My youtube hompage has recommended me this vid because i watched ''the hotest ass on Youtube ever'' ? come on WTF

  • Fucking great mate. You're a star.

  • great tutorial

  • Who compsed this? Greenwood or York? who !?!?!?!

  • I just learned this by ear and played the piano, synth, and string parts and did the vocals today. all in all it took me three hours to learn and record everything. what do you think?

  • Excellent !!

Good quality, good sound, good lesson !

    Thanks you very much !

  • WOW! Brilliant tutorial, mate, usually I watch these and have to spend an hour decoding them, but you explained it along with your hands perfectly!

  • I think you are wrong in one spot. Where you say the chords switch from E to G# to E and then back to G#. I believe it is in fact E to F# to E to G#. Listen to the bass in the song that's what it does.

  • he said F- A- G sharp. thats hilarious

  • haha! that made me lol.

  • as soon as i heard it i knew it'd be on the message board. well done, lad!

  • @210twinssg

Ha! It took like 4 years for someone to point that out!

  • My daughter played this on a grand at a party, everyone was still and quiet, afterward someone told her it changed his life!

  • Did she sing the song??

  • No, but she sang LZ's Heartbreaker at another party and got a standing ovation. She's pretty cool.

  • Very nice, thanks!

  • Thanks a lot for this. Would you consider doing a lesson on Thom Yorke's Analyse?

  • Kinda sound like the film The Pianos soundtrack without Tom Yourkes singing.. It's nice in differnt ways.. Good tutorial.. one day I will learn myself to play it.. 8)

  • A guy with a busted lip actually sounds a bit like Rocky Balboa lol Great video by the way, I've been wanting to play this since I first heard it played live, but I never had the talent or patience to learn it by ear. Great job !

  • in the first chord what notes do you play when playing the A and G# in the right hand and when

  • Just wanted to thank you once again and show you the result: I have posted my version of this song as a video response. This is how I learned it from watching your workshop and the original live version. Thumbs up!

  • I saw it and its excellent!

    Great job!

    Even better then me.

    Cheers.

  • A great help indeed, man, this was very good to follow. Not too easy for a beginner like me, though.

However, I would like to suggest that in the C# chord, there should be an E included in the right hand, so the tones would be C# G# E C# A C# G# E.

  • yeah that could work, but i would hit the E with the left hand not right.

  • why not just scrap all the other shite 'tutorials' of this masterpiece & keep this one!

    awesome job mate, great help.

  • You play F# minor chord at 1.09 - I'm pretty sure it's F# major, dropping down to E major. And the E Major chord at 1.50 shouldn't be there.

But other than that you show clearly how to do it. You have a very clever way of getting the chords across

  • thank you so much for this! im a poor college kid, and my spare money i put towards bar night not sheet music anymore. haha you are a life saver. next shot is for you!

  • Thanks for posting this, it's very helpful!

Just curious, what electric piano are you playing?

  • It's a Casio Celviano.
