I just learned that Odetta passed away on Dec 2, 2008. There will be another talent like Odetta's. May she rest in peace.

Thanks Josh. So glad I saw this. I'm reading a bio of Eleanor Roosevelkt right now and 4 some weird reason something about Odetta here reminds me of old Washington, DC. Never saw it but read about it.
