Ive never seen Star Trek till this movie and the warp seems perfect. . I didn't like the whole slowly warping into slipspace or what have you. This is like a better version of the Star Wars jump which is saying a lot for the fell of the tech. I mean shit I'm blowing hole through space and the BAM was hot as hell. When the fleet left in the movie and they charged up and got the hell out I was pumped. Also surprise seemed fake when it took time to re-emerge. This is -Bam- Im shot -Bam- WTF??

The new warp effect seems so powerful and mighty-- it really encompasses the strength of the technology. -BAM!- gone. -BAM!- here. The older effects are cool and classic, and forever a staple on the Star Trek series, but the new effect just makes me awe at the technology. -BAM!- "Holy shit, where'd it go? Fuckin' awesome!"

The new movie finally got it right. No stretching of the ship. No light show. Just BAM WARP SPEED! These older ones make it look like they plow into a star right after the jump with that bright flash. Good post!

No, they aren't all originals. Half of them are copied from other videos recreated in cgi that are on youtube. I can recognize some videos of Airportchris2... Are you allowed by the owners to do this?
