Ultra sound is starting to be used in water treatment. The Patents are held in England.
The gunk we see in our cells when using tap water is no different than when a ice cube made from tap water melts. The gunk at the bottom of the glass are microbs that cling to each other (coagulation). Melted ice is white because they were frozen. HHO cells are are brown because they were cooked. Ultar sound is causing the microbs to coagulate and the bubbles to get bigger from the bottom of the cell.
I have been thinking the same thing about ultrasound and you have proved it. We need to point the ultrasound to the surface and join up those little bubbles so that the cell always has water between the plates.
Gota question wheni run the cell for a while particals the water will completely seperate and it happens fast. the water will just get clear in the center, and heavy paticles settle, and it really starts producing what going on here?
Out of curiosity would a waterproof piezoelectric speaker help?

@DouglasMcK yes-two of them face to face and the right frequencies it should work

Have you tried hooking this up to a Pulse Width Modulator (PWM)?
A PWM basically turns on and off a devices rapidly and may provide better results.

do you mean on the transducer or the cell?
the cell was PWM controlled.

what do you think about the bubbles that move sideways instead of up?

That will happen because of the ultrasonic wave. Ultrasonic waves will do both breakup and coagulate depending on the direction of the wave.

im not sure.i have noticed that it stays clear in the middle also.

maybe the gunk is being pulled apart, when its close to the cell, and joining up again when its away from it
