I like the recipe, Everyone should not be so judgmental, if u are any kinda cook, you will know each person has their own versions of how they prepare a meal, so lets be nice people after all its other sharing their love of food.
That is a rack of lamb. Completely different from a breast of lamb. Rack of lamb is just lamb chops before you cut em up. Like a standing rib roast. They barely need any cooking and are tender from the get go. Breast of lamb is anatomically like beef short ribs or pork belly/pork ribs. A tough cut that rewards slow cooking. Connective tissue that melts with a few hours of roasting or braising leaving a succulent flavorful meat that falls off the bone.
If you roast very large pieces of meat directly in the oven, I'm afraid it will not cook properly inside? I believe it's typical European to roast large pieces of meat directly in the oven. The result is meat that's still pink inside. I wonder how that tastes. In our culture (Turkey) I'm sure that almost nobody would eat pink meat. I still wonder how it tastes.
Omg i'm moroccon from holland, and ALIA is no good moroccon chef...her food are tasteless and no good recipes.....Why does she says this is how moroccon cook?? Thats how she cooks...........
i have never eaten lamb/mutton OR goat.I find it is hard to cook a food without having eaten it prepared correctly (brussel sprouts were something i made poorly till i ate it prepared right...)is there a fool proof method of cooking lamb/mutton?some tips on what to look out for?
Wow, what a delicious recipe, thank 4 sharing it with us , specially when it's done by grandma they know more about cooking than us youger people...^_^
Just for everyone elses reference "Ghee" is what most people in the US call "Clarified Butter" and you can make it at home with butter if you can not find the Ghee in the store.
loved your foods! hi grandma!

Wow, that looks fabulous! This recipe would work with a nice lamb shoulder roast too, wouldn't it?
Can your grandmother come live with us for a couple months so she can teach me these recipes? ;)

Bonjour du Québec Alia, thanks for the video.
I was curious to know if you posted any videos of cuisines or specialties from Marrakech?
We have a lot of Moroccans here, and my girlfriend is from that city.
I'm learning a lot from your videos.
