  • @Dabbeer123: the end music, is that one made by James & Hans? or by James Newton Howard only? (to be honest i like the music from Klaus Badelt more than Hans Zimmer, but that is my humble opinion ;-) thanks for your reply!

  • Too bad it stops at 6:04...

  • Awesome music from James Newton Howard..

  • @angelodomino you mean Hans Zimmer AND James Newton Howard ;)

  • This scene is so powerful. I feel bad for Batman :(

  • Heath ledger just doesn't sound like joker

  • @lynnbelford217 Seeing that the Joker is a character of literature there's no specific "voice".

  • @lynnbelford217 It's called good acting ;).

  • where can i donwload tis ending music ???

tis music is fkin nice !!!!

    i love it !!!

  • @lucius96M5k8 The song is called "A Watchful Guardian" from the collectors edition of the Dark Knight soundtrack.

  • @lucius96M5k8 "The Watchful Guardian" by Hans ZImmer. Amazon music if you wanna pay, the usual thing if you don't.

  • Gotham's White Knight... will never die! It's amazing how every fucking movie, animated or not, has shown Harvey as...dunno, defo not as amazing as DK's Dent. Now that's a real HD (Harvey Dent), and a real Batman...

  • @rizzy252 Fair enough, no harm done, then. Sorry I misinterpreted you.

  • The Dark Knight took it to a whole new level. Ledger did amazing, the storyline was great, Zimmer +Newton Howard was a legendary soundtrack, Two-Face actually looked like he was supposed to (unlike in Batman Forever), and the ending sends chills down my spine no matter how many times I watch it. THAT is a good movie.

Dark Knight Rises should be super epic, but what worries me is that people are going to have REALLY high expectations coming out of this ending...and it won't be what they expected.

  • that music at the credits are so damm good!!

  • LOL goron steals batman's "not the hero we deserve" also howcome everybodys outside in the rain when they take out the bat signal(do your jobs LOL especially in a time where more and more psychopaths are coming out). why not just tell the janitor to remove it instead of having the commissioner taking it out with an axe..

  • @jcudal32 Trolling under Darknight videos is prohibited !!!

  • @papcyrill lol just stating some things would play out in real life. real life sure is boring. thanks christopher nolan!

  • Comment removed

  • if the dark knight rises is better than this film my life will be complete.

  • @thewhackedsack I doubt it will be better...

  • Nolan did a great job. Usually the comic guys hate comic movies but this series is liked by the casual and hardcore batman fans.

  • what soundtrack is this//// the violin part.

  • ‎"You either Die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. I could do those things. Because I'm not a hero. Not like Dent. I killed those people."

"Or we could just say the Joker killed them"

    "Oh ok do that then"

  • I don't care if I deserve "The Dark Knight Rises", but I need it right NOW!

  • Would anybody care writing an analysis of this scene? Please?

  • the best

  • I die a little inside when I see Gordon break the Batsignal.

  • DARK KNIGHT RISES: a movie that the world deserves.....

  • After watching this movie, Batman is my favorite hero of all time. lots of respect

  • When Christopher Nolan wins an oscar the academy has my permission to die

  • One of the best movies ever made. period.

  • Comment removed

  • 1:10 chills every time. Bass turned up too

  • why didnt they blame it on the joker

  • @MrChurchoffudge Because then we wouldn't have a badass ending

  • @MrChurchoffudge Gotham was probably told that Batman and the Joker were opposing forces with the same common goal: bring chaos and disorder to Gotham City. That would be the logical lie that would be told to the general public.

  • @SGRev1 WhAT?? are you dumb trying to sound smart?

  • That bit on the dark knight where the joker realises nobody blew up the boats. I think that could have been so much more powerful. The joker coud have went insane there realising that people are not evil. Batman could have explained to him that the joker is wrong about human nature, and that people are essentially good.... but anyway. brilliant movie.

  • I love Hans Zimmer, but I find his music in films so intense... almost TOO intense.

    Chills every time.

  • What really pisses me off is when people are so quick to say no one in this film was good besides Ledger or that he was the only one who this excellent. Bullshit, the ending is the best scene in this film by far, and Jokers not in it. I'm not saying we should discredit Ledger, he was indeed superb, but to write off Bale, Eckhart, and Oldman is atrocious. Have respect for the dedicated performances they put on. They nailed THEIR characters as much as Ledger did Joker. TDK all around amazing

  • @yamisupersaiyan If I had to rate em I'd say:

    Bale 10/10

    Eckhart 10/10

    Oldman 10/10

Ledger 11/10 Because his joker exceeded all expectations, and even exceeds the boundaries of the film industry

  • @urrejhipokritet

To me this never made sense, yeah I've seen TDK about 10 times now. In my later viewings I realize something....how one dimensional the character is. Its really interesting to watch Ledgers Joker for the first few times...but then it becomes clear to me that the character doesn't grow or change, and he shouldn't don't get me wrong. I personally enjoyed Bale, Eckhart, and Oldman more. Seeing them change and being brought to a corner really was something

  • @yamisupersaiyan Well acting wise Health Ledger impressed me the most, I will never understand how an actor can go from Broke back Mountain to the Dark Knight, that takes skill.

  • @yamisupersaiyan This is really a good comment!!

  • @yamisupersaiyan Nailed them? I don't know, Batman never had throat cancer in the comics.... In all seriousness, though, I agree. While Ledger's Joker was undeniably the star of the show, the others did a great job as well. For a movie like this, with a real sense of tension, all of the actors need to pull their weight; otherwise, it just wouldn't be as good. Whoever said otherwise is ignorant. Fingers crossed for Hathaway (who I HOPE will bring it) and Hardy (who I know will bring it) in TDKR!

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 He had to disguise his voice so people didn't figure out his identity. That's why he had "throat cancer". You understand what I'm saying?

  • @rizzy252 Wow, another touchy person. As I said to the last overreacting guy, I was joking. But if you've seen Batman in anything OTHER than The Dark Knight, you'd know Bale was overdoing it. Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice of Batman for 20 years in all sorts of media: he was the first actor for Batman to do the "voice change." But he never made it so ridiculous. Really, you can alter your voice, but it doesn't have to sound stupid. YOU understand what I'm saying?

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 Again overreacting. Does a teacher ask you to answer a question in class and you go WOAH WOAH LADY CALM DOWN. I like how Conroy is this godly Batman to you because he's been doing it for so long. I'm not even sure how a millionaire would have time to master changing the pitch of his voice? Bale doesn't sound stupid, he's a monster. Its an interesting contrast to Ledgers calm voice. Again, if anyone you think is overdoing it its Nolan, not Bale

  • @yamisupersaiyan Please stop speaking for me. First you say that I "had such a problem with his voice" (when I didn't) and made such a big deal about it, then you say I think Conroy's voice is godly (again, you're wrong; I don't). I think he's great as Batman. But it seems all you can do is get mad. Funny thing is, I AGREED with your original comment, yet somehow that's not good enough for you. So I'll lay off your precious Bale. It's fascinating how one innocent joke gets you so riled.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 "you'd know Bale was overdoing it" "made it ridiculous". How am I speaking for you? I would think finding something ridiculous means you have some problem with it. Now look at whose speaking for me. Who says I made a big deal about it? Who says I'm mad or that its not good enough for me? I enjoy learning the mentality of those who have different feelings. If you're not ready to be challenged and asked to defend yourself, you're gonna be destroyed in life bro

  • @yamisupersaiyan Oh, btw, I'm not the ONLY one who jokes about the voice. Watch some The Dark Knight parodies on YouTube, and you'll see how they poke fun at it. Please understand that everyone's entitled to their opinion, and just because someone doesn't necessarily share yours, doesn't mean you should reply with multiple comments saying how "wrong" he is. I love The Dark Knight, I love Batman, the actors did a great job. Why can't we agree on that?

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 The people who joke about his voice are insecure Conroy fans scared that Bale is even playing Batman and might overshadow him. They go overboard with it though, it was funny and now it really isn't yet people keep making them. Why don't people make parodies of gotham city realizing Wayne is Batman for the animated series? Because animated nostalgia fans write these parodies and would never dare insult the precious animated series.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 Please understand that everyone IS entitled to their opinion, and that everyone should be fierce in defending it when someone asks you defend or support it, doesn't mean you should reply crying like a baby when someone wishes to simply strengthen your will. I do agree on that, and we feel separately about some matters thats fine. Just don't think someones trying to kill you when they ask you why dude.

  • @yamisupersaiyan You're getting "fierce" over A SIMPLE JOKE. Not offensive to anyone, nor rude, nor inappropriate, just a joke. Go attack all of the others who said it before me. Why you're taking it so personally is beyond me. I think you're just a little "insecure" about jokes directed towards Bale. I hate to break it to you, but even if he is a "great actor," he's a REAL asshole. Being an acclaimed actor doesn't mean you can be like that. But I'm preaching to the choir, it seems, so bye.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205

You take my replying as fierce for some reason....? Have you read anything I've said? IM NOT attacking you. I'm not insecure when the guy get tons of hate for a voice he doesn't do. Let me ask you is that fair for him? Wait wait wait, don't go yet. Bales an asshole? why do you assume that? Look into his life. He's actually a very nice guy. If you're talking about his terminator accident, everyone is entitled to anger when disrupted and he explains how sorry he was

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 First of all, I wasn't overreacting. I said that as calmly as possible, so you don't have to get all angry and make a whole speech.

  • @rizzy252 The fact that you said "you understand what I'm saying?" implies that you thought I was wrong and stupid. At the very least, it was rude. I wasn't angry then, but now, it's a bit annoying how people can't understand a joke. As in, it wasn't supposed to be serious. In the words of this movie's villain, "Why so serious?" I said nothing but positive things about the cast as a whole (not just Ledger), yet you people can't seem to understand that. But seriously, I give up. Why bother?

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 When I said "You understand what I'm saying" I didn't mean to be rude. Maybe I should have said it in a different way. Really I was trying to get clarification.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 Holy crap bro me and rizzy aren't holding up a gun to you, calm the fuck down

  • @ZACKFAIR1205

I don't remember them explicitly stating how his voice has to be in the comics...either way its way better than any incarnation because it actually makes sense. Like honestly from you and only you I ask why his voice is such a problem? People make fun of the fact that he doesn't have a convenient second voice and wants to keep his identity hidden? In my opinion Bale was the star. I found his constant confusion over Ledgers crazyness more appealing, but no one sees it

  • @yamisupersaiyan Wow, no need to get so worked up. Clearly you couldn't tell that I was JOKING. I never said it was "such a problem." It makes sense to change his voice, but not to the point of ridiculousness. That whole idea of altering voice originates from Kevin Conroy, THE voice of Batman. He alters Bruce/Bats' voices so they are different, but realistically so. Besides, in Batman Begins, Bale's voice wasn't nearly as raspy. And no one sees it because Ledger gave a better performance.

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 I'm worked up how? Thats how life is bro. You are asked to stand and support your argument, no aggression about it. Ehh I have more problems with Conroy than Bale. Conroys pitch difference is laughable. Bruce Wayne is a saint in the animated version. And I don't see how it ridiculous either, not everyone is born a capable voice actor. And no Conroys isn't realistically so. Its a bit, a tiny bit, deeper and that fools even Hugo Strange. Give me a break, its obvious hes

  • @ZACKFAIR1205 Wayne. Nolan edited Bales voice in TDK, keep that in mind. Bale going more raspier was meant to show that hes transformed more into Batman.

  • @yamisupersaiyan I agree. I loved the ending! Everything came together perfectly.

  • @yamisupersaiyan exactly dude. harveys rise and fall was amazingly told, and bruce and gordon dealing with all of the madness around them was perfectly played by oldman and bale. also there wouldnt have been nearly as much emotion invested in this movie for me if it wasnt for bales fantastic performance in batman begins. he fuckin carried that movie on his back, and i thought he gave a bit of a better performance in that one.

  • @MrBurgundy76

Bale had a lot of room to be different in Begins. In TDK he does indeed grow, but he doesn't have much to work with, which is fine and not a flaw to me. I actually enjoyed Bale more than Ledger contrary to popular belief. What I really love, is Bales chemistry with Caine, spot on fantastic. They're hilarious, caring, and Caine being like a father is shown so well

  • Okay, everyone who remembers Batman Forever should check this out. Prepare this video at 0:46 and search "Seal Kiss From a Rose" in another Youtube window. Choose the second video, a lyric video by freezebluebreeze. (or use Spotify and choose the Kiss From a Rose version on Seal's Best 1991-2004 album). Start Batman from 0:46 right as Seal hits the first verse (0:23 on the video, 0:25 on Spotify). Watch and enjoy. Thumbs up if you like this.

  • Thanks .Epic plot, director, actors and music OF AN APIC MOVIE.

  • I can't wait for The Dark Knight Rises. It's gonna be E-P-I-C. Mr. Nolan has a wonderful tendency of teasing, and then surprising big-time.

  • This is the perfect ending to the perfect movie.

    Can't wait till July 20th

  • (2:31) "Because you didn't eat your vegetables"

  • jesus christ this is the greatest movie ive ever seen

  • Why God????Why did you have to take Heath Ledger from us???????He was just getting started!!!!!!!

  • Batman actually represents the Rick Ross. Think about it...

  • The Dark Knight is probably one of the most epic and important movies in the entertainment and film industry. Thanks to the creation of Batman through Bob Kane, the legend of the Dark Knight has spread into good, bad, and one of the best movies that have seen the light of day, thanks to the genius of Christopher Nolan. Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are few of the masterpieces Christopher Nolan has produced, and they will continue to live on throughout the years.

    I believe in Nolan!

  • THIS FUCKING MOVIE! I COULD WATCH IT A MILLION TIMES AND NEVER GET BORED! THANK YOU NOLAN!

I remember sobbing like a idiot the first time I saw 5:39.

  • You can kind of almost put the Tron Legacy entrance theme into the ending of the Dark Knight, anyone else agree?

  • Comment removed

  • @clubpenguinsucks U mean Tron Legacy stole batmans song sigh sigh

  • When I first saw this, I got real tensed when Harvey wanted to shoot the kid and when he was going to do it, such finely done, it made you really say "NO!", and I'm not that type of person either who easily gets emotionally connected.

  • I Rember being in the theater Midnight showing and when Heath name came up the hole theater stud up and cheared

  • Both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have one of the BEST and epic movie endings I've ever seen. Great job Nolan =]

  • 1:10 when that base kick in with "I killed those people." holy shit thats the greatest line ever

  • He's the hero gotham deserves but not the one it needs right now...never really understood that :S

  • @drdudemeister Basically saying that people put so much trust in Harvey Dent cause they know who he was. He was a superhero and political figure. He had an identity unlike Batman which is why they said not the one it needs right now

  • batman makes superman look like a faggot

  • Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!Holy Shit! Holy Shit! SHIT!

  • Batman is so much like Jesus. Not the hero we deserve, but the one we need.

  • @slamer2000 You mean Harvey Dent.....Gordon said-"Batman is the hero we deserve, but not the one we needs right now.

  • Speaking of politics, George W. Bush is the Dark Knight. He did everything he could to fight terror and save his country- sometimes going beyond the law like Batman did in this movie (bugging phones, breaking the legs of bad guys) - but in the end the political left branded him a war criminal. George Bush had bad policies, but when it came to the war on terror his motives were pure. Before you verbally stone me, first read the article "So, Mr. Hitchens, weren't you wrong about Iraq?"

  • @jr73340 i agree

  • @jr73340 George W's dad started the war on terror and like his father he did the same just like Bruce... George is a hero that US deserves but not the one that it needs right now, so we will hunt him because he is not a hero, he is a silent guardian a watchful prottector the George W....... and his butler Dick Cheney...

  • Comment removed

  • @WarlockTroll You wanna get spammed???

  • @jr73340 LOL FUCK OFF COMPARING BATMAN TO GEORGE W RETARD BUSH

  • Look at the note Al's holding at 1:54 "Bane".

  • @Bettlejack it says bruce haha, or do you know and are joking?

  • @jameswpottsy It's in 360p, couldn't tell.

  • @Bettlejack that says Bruce...

  • Chris Nolan knows how to END a FUCKING film.

  • because he's the director the oscar deserves, but not the one it needs right now...so we'll hunt him...because he can take it....because he's not a Michael Bay...he's a silent underdog, a brilliant film-maker....THE CHRISTOPHER NOLAN

  • @majafaja999 NOLMAN! NOLMAAN!! why is he running Dad? He didn't do anything wrong..

  • @majafaja999 best comment ever xD

  • @majafaja999 I like that XD

  • @majafaja999 Christopher Nolan is fucking awesome, Batman trilogy, inception and the prestige, those are my favorite movies of all times and i didn't know he directed them until right now that i read about him.

  • @majafaja999 this movie only made alot because of ledger's death..not that it isn't a great movie already but truth be told you can say w/e you want, ledger's death contributed greatly

  • @majafaja999 I don't know much about michael bay but I always see people giving out about him.Why is this?

  • @nb45001 He made transformers which have sold immensely even though the films suck hard, well the first one is okay but the rest suck. Also ALL of his films are made up of explosion after explosion so people make fun of him

  • @majafaja999 Correction there buddy "So they'll snub him, because he can take it"

  • @Deadshot089 They have already snubbed him for inception and dark knight, but nolan is a director who does not have to rely on the oscars to make great movies...he makes it for the purpose of telling a great story and propagating an important message that addresses some issues in our times

  • @majafaja999 DUN DUN DUN DUN

  • What if

hitler was not the dictator the jews need

    but the dictator they deserve

  • @ShinobiTHE2nd atleast jews are not homophobes so just comment on another video fuckface

  • "The Dark Knight" doesn't have the ending Batman deserves, but it does have the one he needs, right now. So we'll wait until July. Because of the next installment in the series. Because that's ending Batman deserves. It's a thrilling saga. An Epic Conclusion. "The Dark Knight Rises".

  • this film is just perfect.

  • how does his cape not get caught in the back tire?

  • @liltunechi4eva cause he's Batman

  • @liltunechi4eva They originally made it so that the cape folded up into a backpack for when he was on the bike(the same way he uses it to fly) but once they tested the bike they found that the backdraft from the engine starting kept the cape in the air even before it started moving and decided to keep it.

  • this sets up the dark knight rises perfectly

  • after the boring out dated Burton movies and Schumachers two piss poor attempts......when the credits rolled here I thought "Thankyou Chris Nolan"

  • You either need coff medicine, or to re-cast

  • 2:33 to 3:22 ... chills EVERY single time.

  • @Sk3pTiCz me 2.... Love the concept that we need good people to fight bad people. I wish we applied this to the world. Bad people need to be stopped, and with force if necessary.

This is why I support war in fascist countries. The West needs to stop apologising for what we are about. Our system is better than the rest, for the people of those countries - and we need to implement freedom and democracy, with guns and bombs if necessary. Stopping violence, needs violence - its the only way.

  • @TheSelfishAltruist ...and now there's going to be a stream of comments on politics because an intriguing film ending provided a few words of comfort.

I prefer to think in the vein of the fictional universe I'm witnessing. Connecting the theatrics of the fictional, comic book world to the real one is a waste of time.

  • @Momentum139 I understand, but burying your head in a fictional universe allows real humans in the real world to undergo a lot of pain - imagine if Nelson Mandela, or the founding fathers had no interest in politics?

But I understand... sometimes I like a break from politics, as know people like me are in charge so it doens tmatter so much.

  • @Sk3pTiCz but we are too scared to fight it, and our fear is causing all the suffering we see in places like North Korea and Saudi Arabia - I don't know how we allow these messed up regimes to continue frankly.

Im a liberal, but I differ with a lot of others in that I think violence is needed now, just like it was in world war 2. Freedom is not something you are born with, but has to be fought for and protected from people who would like it destroyed.

    anyway, im rambling. :-)

  • Easily the best movie of all time.

  • This is fixing up to be the greatest film trilogy ever made.

  • It trips me out now seeing Gordon's son in this knowing in the comics he's a psychopath.

  • @WildChildRj who is his son?

  • @jkellybrew James Gordon Jr., in the comics, he grows up to be a psychopath. It's covered in "Batman: The Black Mirror". Probably the best Batman story in recent memory.

  • Dear reddvil86, first of all, thank you for the upload. Secondly, thank you for your insightful comment. You are absolutely right. I hope you get to see this sometime in the near future.

  • In my opinion this ending is utter shit, I feel people only think its good because it puts up a lot of seemingly deep but completely hollow phrases serenaded by "heroic" music... Not trolling or anything, I enjoyed the movie a lot (apart from Batman's voice) but this ending is stupid...

  • Comment removed

  • @FXVG Care to explain?

  • @jesuschrystler777 It's a mark of complexity of what Batman was willing to do; something that transcends the stereotype of complacent superheroes. What he INTENDED to do was pretty sophisticated, but I don't think it was necessary. I just feel like it was a cheesy jump, if they eased it in I'd enjoy it more but I still feel it was crap. I feel like we are being told to feel sorry for him because he is an unsung hero rather than being shown it, or shown that it was truly necessary what he did.

  • i'm confused why alfred burnt the letter from rachel (saying she would marry harvey) which Bruce has already read.

  • @dawnmoon90 Bruce didn't read it. Alfred had read it and took it back before he could read it.

  • @DarwinwasWrong but batman did read it, before he had to choose who to go save. or was that the narrator ... might have to watch it again...

  • @dawnmoon90 Rachel gave it to Alfred before she got kidnapped. Alfred was going to give it to Bruce shortly after Rachel was killed but decided against it because Bruce thought she was going to leave Harvey for him if he gave up being Batman.

  • @dawnmoon90 Bruce never read the letter. Bruce asked him what that was, Alfred said "It can wait".

  • Because sometimes, truth isn't good enought... Gosh, my tears ='(

  • Love the ode to Shane at the end with the kid yelling after Batman.

  • Kid: Why is he running he didn't do anything wrong

Gordon: We will see him in eight years for the TDKR he's on a hiatus.

  • Begins - Fear

    Rises - Pain

  • Begins - Fear

    Knight - Chaos

    Rises - Pain

  • But the Joker CANNOT win.

  • @rohit1401322808 Gotham needs its true hero.

  • On july the 20th 2012, The Dark Knight.. Rises!

  • @TheChopinesque It says Bruce, did you even pay attention to the movie?

  • joker and his gang disliked this

  • @TheChopinesque it says "Bruce"

  • It's a shame they never asked me if I was inspired by something or someone. Injustice the thing I hate the most get's me a prison sentence of four months. Typical Dutch and it's terms for justice. No one will act. No cop, no judge, no da but if a civilian acts and decides to fight injustice because he or she is inspired by something really really beautiful that he or she will get punished. In my case four months of prison.

Oh and if I was inspired by someone or something?

    Yes.

  • The music makes it twice as good... even though it's amazing anyway...

  • I like how Gordon indirectly answers his son's questions and seems to be in a trance. He's just sort of like, "quiet son, I'm trying to deliver an epic monologue here, go play with Harvey or something".

  • @JBHutto I somehow imagined the kid playing with Harvey "Dad he doesn't wanna play with me :'(" XD
