I really liked it! It got to me and pulled on my emotions, you did really well conveying that fact. but the acting of the girl, it seemed like she was laughing at first... Also I learned a trick for fake blood, get syrup and put red food dye in it. It, I believe, is the closest thing that is to blood.
@firstclasscotastrafy Thanks very much. I agree about her acting. Looking back I probably would have opted to find someone else. That is the biggest criticism of the film I receive. Thanks for the input.
@fcfilms2 Oh OK. I don't speak German either but I've watched a lot of German TV shows. This sounded different than those shows so I was thinking maybe this was a different dialect or something.
@ThetrueOxit Aware of this. I made the film to be a commentary on patriotism and the dangers of nationalism. I borrowed the events of The Milgram Experiment (which were inspired by the Nuremberg trials) and applied them to the sensibilities of the time. It is not meant to be taken completely literally.
@fcfilms2 the film is not bad i think, but why has it to be German the true meaning if the experiment was that things like the third reich everywere can happen again... and its important that the testpersons were citizen and not soldiers wich had killed people before... innocent people which was forced by manipulation of doctores
@ThetrueOxit I used the events of the holocaust as an example simply because Stanley Milgram's experiment was inspired by those events and the Nuremberg Trials.
@ThetrueOxit The reason it is a soldier, is because he is married to the woman secretly. The SS found out, and now they are forcing him to kill as a test of loyalty, when he finds out who it is, he is devastated.
@fcfilms2 yes its ok if you make a film for remembering the nazis but i wouldn´t call it milgram please understand very many americans think we german are today nazis too... but it were the fathers of our grandfathers... that is 70 years ago... and today we are not nazis any more i mean the most of us and look all the american movies indiana jones, hellboy, and so on there were everytime the german the evil how much films about indians killing were made? that was evil too
@ThetrueOxit I do not hold those beliefs. I actually made the film because of the things happening in the United States today remind me of Nazism. I am well aware that the German people are not Nazis. Americans are stupid. I am Canadian.
@fcfilms2 Sorry I wont call you american^^ i dont like amerika but canada is a good land ^^ sorry it shouldnt anger you. the film is good made but many people will think the milgram projekt was happening in germany... if you had seen any films by michael moore you know how stupid people can be....
@ThetrueOxit Haha. I am not angry. You criticism is accepted. Just to clarify, I am by no means implying that The Milgram Experiment took place in Germany. The behavior observed by the experiment did however (and by that I mean forced murders etc.) That behavior inspired the experiment, and that is why I used that period in time. It should also be noted that the main character does not want to kill. The films meant to portray German people as being victimised and controlled by the regime.
@fcfilms2 wait in these way you show that the german soldiers dont want to kill innocent jews.... they (the soldiers) have fellings too... than i have to apologize.... i dont was thinking this way... but that is the positive point^^ i learned sorry for the stolen time^^
Yep . . here's the recipe folks! This is your Home Land Security. Here's your TSA. Here's your over zealous cops. Your soldiers with a pseudo-sense of duty. Nationalism. Patriotism. Bullshitism. It's so scary and so sad. And so prevalent.
Incredible film! I could spend all day talking about the historical inaccuracy but that would just ruin it. Very powerful film, good job. I'd like to see LT. Aldo Raine go after that bastard general.
@woozleification Milgram would say that the general himself was under the influence of his own authority... in his case he, like most people finally start to believe it is okay.
In fact seeing your own subordinates do as you say is powerful enough evidence that what you are doing is valid...odds are hitler himself belived his authority (the german people) were right to do as he said or commanded...and that to satisfy them he must continue.

@firefliforeva It was translated into High German by a Ryerson University student. It is probably a bit off. I do not speak German at all.
