If anyone does any research on the WW2 Female Pilots you'll find these women flew in all kinds of weather because they had a deadline to meet to deliver the planes.

There's a few stories on the web by/about these women. Very interesting reading.

Well done! Remember, though, that pantyhose didn't exist until much later. Women wore stockings, held up with garter belts or garters attached to girdles. They gave up silk stockings, as silk was needed for parachutes.
