  • If you watch him with the sound off, he looks like he's trying to teach you to pleasure a woman.

  • at 0:01 - 0:02 is that oil that is adding to the paint ?

  • Hi MrDream996. What is added there is called "Number Two Medium". It originated from Rembrandt. You can discover more about it at our website.

  • My favorite painting in the world is Rembrandt's self portrait in the Hermitage, where he is wearing the exact same shirt.

  • Hey this is a great way of demonstrating the techniques you have on your video! I find it very kind you are willing to share us some of these techniques you normally, and rightfully, charge for.

I'm new to painting, but not art, and it's through painting I've rediscovered who I am. I don't know how I went twenty years, drawing, and making music, but never picking up a brush.

People like you make it possible. Thanks for sharing ART. Thoughts and positive energy to you!

  • As your painting progresses you use less strokes to portray your art, and in some cases they become almost abstract.

  • you use a completely different system for creativity than my grandad i think.

he was a very clever man but used a very very different method. I guess it shows in the art.

do you know of john brack?

  • wow very inspirational!

  • give me your shirt. I´ll be rich

  • your ideas of our motivations and purpose for art is beautiful. you the man!

  • you remind me of Beetle Juice

  • Excellent!!!

  • dear artbytv have you ever thought of framing your shirt and pants and putting them up for sale as they make great abstracts!!

  • what is the best type of paint to use for seascape

  • Dear rpbasit1, the best paint to use always is professional quality oils. It is lightfast, has amazing color, is of excellent consistency, and mixes brilliantly with medium. These qualities are needed for quality seascape paintings, as indeed any subject you choose. You may like to obtain our free (for a limited time) eBook, available from our website, for more information. Cheers, artbytv.

  • Viewers please note: what you see on the easel in this video are NOT paintings. These are "demonstration pieces", used to demonstrate each technique.

The idea here is simply to introduce the Fine Art Techniques available for you. This is done without attempting to paint a picture.

Please view our other videos for actual paintings, created using these techniques.

    - many thanks, artbytv.

  • very cool

  • thank you Maestro!!!!!!!

  • The last technique; scribble stroke.

Isn't it the same as dry brushing?

Dry brushing is on of my favorite techniques if you're working in layers, so I am interested what that last one was.

  • I usually fall asleep after the "Caress Stroke"

  • he makes it look so easy,,,

  • Dear huggamira, thank you for your comment and for yourself and those who've subscribed.

Painting IS easy! We all have the ability to paint (our own unique way). It's a step-by-step process, and if you know your techniques, you can develop your own artworks very easily. Knowing your techniques is the key - these are your tools. Visit our site and email us if you need further help - where we have a free (for a limited time) eBook on the techniques for you too.
