@MrCraigary123 If he's not dying any of it he's doing really we'll with that amount of gray for a man born in 1943. Kreutzmann was virtually white (haired) before he was 40. Jerry's hair went from gray to white almost overnight after the coma. Anyway nice interview with Mickey.
Instead of Furthur, I'd like to see a band - not just doing GD songs - comprising Mickey, Phil, Bill, Bob, and anyone else left from the Grateful Dead making new music and rockin' on their old. From this interview, I'm gathering that since Phil and Bobby want to do GD songs and Mickey wants to progress, that could be why they don't all play together??? Any thoughts?
Mickey was in a very good mood, laughing, and more than happy to accommodate my interest. I didn't sense any under the surface issues at all. We spoke a bit about the Grateful Dead before and after the camera was rolling too. I think you are reading too much into it.
Really great to hear Mickey's thoughts on the whole institution, if that is what it is. If I had one wish, I'd have liked to see him pull the red glasses off for a minute or two. Is there any significance to the fact that the only time he said "Grateful Dead" he held his nose? Probably over-reaching.
Mickey has got a touch of grey..kind of of suites him anyway
