  • @riffoftheweek: you should try out DADGAD tuning, Dave! :P

  • Obviously I'm not going to knock you for your compositional choice... but I feel like this groove sits a lot better at the slower speed than at the faster speed.

  • Andy McKee is on a whole 'nother level of guitar.

  • dave, another great artist to check out is antoine dufour. his piece "in these moments" has some AMAZING percussive stuff going down.

  • Damn, that was so cool when it was slow ... and then when it was sped up ... wow ... just SO MUCH better. Thanks. And don't go looking at my profile to see if I am competent guitarist ... because I so aren't. (And clearly not an English scholar either)

  • Boy that has a nice groove to it. I gotta try that sometime today. You make it look so easy Dave. Love it!

  • Hey, Dave: so when is Taylor going to book you on an acoustic clinic tour?

  • I feel like since Riff of the Week Extended came along the regular ones have gotten watered down.

  • @ibanez350mdx - def not, just more concise. Same content amount, done more efficiently. win/win

  • Don Ross is a badass,..and Andy McKee is also super cool. On another level.

  • looks like dave's been going to the same gym as john petrucci

  • I'm hoping that this is foreshadowing something from your acoustic album...

  • Awesome lesson!! Andy McKee would be proud

  • Amaaaazing thing !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sergio Altamura

  • Check out Spiritual groove by tommy gauthier and antoine dufour. It's this type guitar and a violin doing some amazing stuff. CandyRat Records has some amazing electric guitar stuff too from the likes of Steffen Schackinger (I like his City Lights and Electric Guitartistry).

  • Great lesson!!!......check out Tommy Emmanuel if you like this kinda stuff.

  • If you are really into percussive guitarplaying you should check Antoine Dufour. Massively inspired by Micheal Hedges. He hits spots on the Guitar that I didnt even know existed. Definitely worth watching!

  • the slap mute you're doing also adds a nice percussive rhythm to it. great video man

  • You should definitely look into a player named "Petteri Sariola." He's a finnish guitarist that is amazing at this kind of music. He also sings while doing it!

  • Sounded better played slow.

  • MANELI JAMAL!!!!!

  • I've always wondered, what is the song in beginning?

  • @THEREALMOSH2 It's a song from his solo album; dismantle

  • @eliten0Ob Thanks

  • @THEREALMOSH2 - It's called Dismantle off my record OnRevolute, you can get it at daveweiner . com, itunes, amazon, etc.

  • Thanks for this lesson Dave, this is perfect for what i've been wanting to learn, great as always.

  • Duuuuude! I want the blue les paul or if it is a ibanez to the left

  • @hallonsoda12 It´s a PRS :)

  • @ttubeheadd I see :)

  • are there any good electro acoustics that would pick this up or do you think using a mic is the best way to play like this live, thanks

  • @KarlChoons - def mics.
