After Simon said something, he jumped up and down, had his hands behind his head briefly with fists clenched and then pointed at Simon and said to him "I got you this time Simon!!!" He was grinning from ear to ear. It made me want to jump up and down because he was SO happy.

yeah It was Eleanor Rgby. During Billie Jean he had a black button up shirt w/ rolled up sleeves on. This is what he wore top 12 week when he sang Eleanor Rigby. I just watched the two performances, I think right after they cut from him, before the judges comment and he is bouncing all over the stage, that is probably when he did it. I wish the editors would keep more of the footage of the contestants and less of the judges, lol. Who cares about them :-)

They shoot from several different cameras during the show, capturing different people's reactions.I think when they edited it together,they used the footage of Simon at the moment Cook did this,but this is him during top 12 week. That is the outfit and hair. During top 7 you can hear David let out a shriek of relief after Simon says he was "a breath of fresh air" But the camera stays on Simon. Somewhere there is the unused footage of David shrieking, lol. That I would like to see.

I have to admit you're right about the white jacket during top 8 week. He looked like a rock star :-) My daughter and I just got back from the AI Top 10 concert at the Rose Garden in Portland a couple of hours ago. They all put on a great show and David C. looked hotter then ever :-)
