  • They're the worlds oldest & most elite special forces. Their motto is "He who dares wins!" Many other special forces around the world have adopted this. The way they fall out the sky from such high or low heights as well...

  • What video is this from?

  • Can i just correct someone a second. The SAS is ran by the Air force/ Army, hence the name Special Air Service. SBS is ran by the Royal Navy and Army, due to most training and stuff is with the Navy locations, but trained by Royal marines and Army Veterans. Any service in the armed forces can join the SAS or SBS because it is armed forces special forces. except pilots can join this is right my dad retired from the Regiment Two years ago and told me.

  • @CASSIUS1704 Can I just correct you? The Air Force has NOTHING to do with the SAS!

ANY member of the Tri-Service Armed Forces can apply for UKSF selection, Inc.PILOTS! The SBS was almost entirely made up of RM but after passing UKSF selection you don't get the say you used to on where you go. SAS,SBS,SRR? Also SF are not trained by Army/Marine vets but SF vets and DS (Directing Staff).

Amalgamation changed alot, ANYONE with 2 yrs service&3yrs left can apply to UKSF.

    Dad should know that....

  • its a fairly simple procedure, although the interview isn't with some smarmy cunt from b'ham and takes longer than 3 hrs

  • I think this is from SAS the soldiers story. if so do you have the rest?

  • i passed sas, navy seal, and delta force training all in one year... it was easy!

  • CoD 4 + Killhouse map = Epic

  • Lost of salvation army troopers talking bollox on here.

  • Hey I'm joining the royal marines next year and I'm just wondering, can royal marines apply for SAS selection or is it just SBS???

  • @EllisFitz1995 yes!but lets c if u do ok in royal marines,b4 even talking about SAS!Good luck!u.l need it!

  • @EllisFitz1995 No they can apply for the SAS as well :) Just put loads of training in mate. You will really need to be running 5 times a week for about 40 mins each. That will cover most of the stamina, strength could be covered by a fitness circuits done 5 times a week using weights in reps of 8, 10, 12. This is the standard way of building muscle tissue, but make sure you are exercise all the muscle groups (shoulders, back, abdomen, legs, biceps and chest, to name the main ones).

  • @EllisFitz1995 I want to join the SAS as well ;) Im only 15 and not very bug (Sorta on the skinny side like John McAleese xD) but I do as much training as I can. Also if you have a couple days off, stay up all night for maybe two nights and put your self in stress positions for like half an hour then take a few mins off and put yourself in another stress position. That should also help with the mental fitness. You will be sleep and food deprived so I would start training yourself asap

  • 2 selections a year.any member of British armed forces can apply anytime they want, lets be honest if u have,nt prepared ur self mentally and fitness/and all basic training skills ie map reading, sense of humour, communication, personal hygiene, survival u wid b better going to watch Hereford utd than joining the SAS.

Its common sense to me.if ur fucking weak they will find u out!

  • @gsg9angel Who's the legendary soldier?

  • @gsg9angel that's a lie, my mates stepcousin has just passed selection and he's only a lance corporal in the rifles. Might have been the case a few years ago though that you had to serve 7 years.

  • @thetubewithin omg you have missed the boat ive already been rightfully corrected , yes its shorter now no longer 7 years try reading more fella.

  • @OMGYODAHASABOOK cheers for that fella yes its changed since my time it used to be 7 years , i stand corrected cheers .

  • Train hard, fight easy.

    Love it.

  • thanks for telling me this tactic

  • I AM LIKE!!!! THE BEST SOLDIERS!!

  • Tough training, shit rewards.....nobody knows or cares.....double tap!!!

  • Could a Royal Marine Apply to the SAS ?

  • @evil10 you have to be 3 years of regular service or royal marine to apply then you get picked

  • @evil10 if your physically and mentally thought enough as a royal marine commando i don't see why not but gl in basic training

  • I love this video too (L) :)

  • these guys are really hardcore... damn im glad the brits are on our side and that we haves SEALs yaaaaaay

  • i met a guy who went on sas selection on an army insight course and he could do hand stand press ups and has the record time for oakhamptons obstacle course.

  • @K6C10 1. SPETSNAZ, 2. NEPALESE GURKAS 3. SRILANKAN STF 4. SAS

  • Whats the difference between SAS and Spec ops?

  • @Germ303 nothing, just different countrys

  • @Germ303 spec ops= special operations and is a giant term, us has green berets, delta, seals.. Russia has their spetsnaz England has SAS and royal marines..

  • sas are fucking badass

  • It makes me laugh how much you guys think you know.

  • I was in the SAS lat seems 2 be wat every other mother fuker is claming get real there the most elite in the world so just coz ur 8th prestige on cod ur still a lil pussy who couldnt fire a water gun

  • getting in the sas hahahaha i would do this training with my eyes closed and while peeling an orange all the way threw and still pass it with flying monkeys you want real action and with this shit you dont just walk of marine row and in for this you have to have bee THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE BEST and from there you have MI-5 ohmygod did i just say MI-5 thats where it happens license to trhill kill spill drill and bill james bond style cockflickers

  • @Deavilles Retard....

  • @fletch357 its 4 years.

  • @sabrefox2004 No it is 3 years of regular service before someone can apply for the SAS.

If you are in the Royal Marines you have to serve two years before you can apply for the SBS

  • @somethunder86 you cant apply to the SAS you have to be picked

  • @Callofdutyboys That's nonsense. People apply for the SAS by applying to be on selection. There is some pre-selection proceedures like a medical and such like.

In a way people are picked during selection but not the way you think.

    People still apply.

  • @somethunder86 dudes the SAS have a cycle that anybody in the army can apply for

  • @somethunder86 well to be in Delta Force you have to be picked

  • @Callofdutyboys ye he is right you apply to go for selection which overall takes two years on and off operation. in that time you will train with a range of different weapons depending on the role you want to go into. you have to do many long solo walks in the breacon beacons which test your mental stamina as well as physical

  • @survivalkid2452 you have to be picked by your officer and then you are sent to the SAS

  • @survivalkid2452 They dont use the Brecon Beacons anymore as it is to "Published to the Public"

  • @TheCaeronRoberts NO! they do use the Breacon beacons. i should know because i have a family member doing selection and he is going to the Breacon beacons for the "long drag" and on that the weight of their bergens increases to a maximum of 27kg the have to make their way over pen-y-fan which is in the breacon beacons so unless you know what you are talking about then dont bother saying anything

  • @survivalkid2452 NO! they dont use the Brecon Beacons anymore, not for the long drag or anything, just Parachuting skills, and if you dont believe me do your research im sure theres a newspaper that has the article, i read it in the Daily Mail

  • @TheCaeronRoberts Your talkin shit!! youv'e got ur facts wrong

  • @survivalkid2452 i dont care what you read it in. i have a family membe doing selection rights as we speak and im telling you they do still use the breacon beacons i can bet you 1 million that they do. you read it. i hear it from someone that is experiencing it first hand so i know what i am talking about

  • @TheCaeronRoberts actually they do use it..just the coordinates wont be public orientated, not that they ever where.

  • @Callofdutyboys you have to join the army first as either Engineers / Infantry / Para's etc etc you serve two years as one of those, and then you can apply to the SAS ... BUT an officer (from your original Regiment) must first say, "i think this person is SAS capable" and then they will take you to the Training...which only 2-5% pass where as the Royal Marines and SBS around 20% pass because of their harder training

    Sources

Grandfather - Dropped out of Jungle Warfare SAS training ;)

  • @TheCaeronRoberts Dad was removed from SAS selection due to injuries sustained on the Long Drag. :P

  • @MadamKouassi Yeah that 40 miler is a killer, 50% of candidates fail on it

  • @Callofdutyboys nobody gets picked to be in the sas, if your application is succesful then you must pass selection, nobodys picked. if you can pass selection then your good enough for the sas

  • @Callofdutyboys No, i think you ask to be SAS, and they will accept if they think you can

  • @somethunder86 But remember, you need SAS experience to even try for the SBS. And you need three years in the regular army or TA, before you can apply to the SAS. You're looking at a 3-4 year commitment for training.

  • @MadamKouassi no SAS and SBS are ran by two completely different forces

SAS is ran by Army SBS is ran by the Royal Navy's Royal Marines and when you join the army/Royal Marines you have 2 years as a "General Duties Marine/Recruit" then after that you can specialise, you can choose to Specialise in the special forces straight out of General Duties, but it is unlikely they will pick you as you need more experience, Hence why most of the people go for Mountain Leader as their first specialisation

  • @TheCaeronRoberts That's where the whole "FNG" thing came about, because sometimes on the off chance, a good recruit would go to a specialist group out of general duties, and usually that meant that he'd have to be trained and whatnot, which was a pain for operational units.

  • @somethunder86 It was 3 years up until the minimum service requirement became 4 years I believe. I'd assume they wait until after you've served the minimum time required because that's where you are likely to find the dedicated career soldiers. In reality though, most soldiers who go for 22 selection will have around 6-8 years service

  • The british SAS are the best special forces in the world, they have the hardest training in the world this is because they have their own training plan, it is mainly adapted from Spetsnaz and the SEALS, but the SAS train those guys aswel. in the SAS u have to be prepared to make the toughest decisions.

  • i like how you said you WERE in the marines??? you do know you cant just sign up for the sas selection out of civie street, you will have to go and do atleast 2 years in the army and they dont give a shit if you have been an ex marine or para

  • @cbecks2051 lol way 2 tell the wannabe cunt i voted up

  • i was a royal marine for a good four and a half years. i'm thinking about doing the SAS selection this summer. but im still undecided whether to just stay home, stick with my pub job serving punters drinks and getting laid or go into the SAS and kill again.

  • yes you moron but they started as british only you fool then they spread to other countries we own . what do you take me for asshole .

  • Comment removed

  • @ BEATLEJEWZ hahah u idiot the SAS are AUS and NZ as well stupid u dont know shit about SAS hahahahahahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • none of you fools on here could make the sas never in amillion years . and oh yeah they are the best and they all british baby

  • @BEATLEJEWS

I hope you're aware that it reportedly only has a pass rate of 2-10%. Only about 10 out of 125 will make it through the selection and training. So stfu, of course we'd never make it.

  • @allaroundthemorning

That's only because about 10 people can have the dedication and commitment to pass.

  • @ modernsoldier1, dont worry about that :-)

  • Can anyone apply to SF? i heard its mainly Marines and Paras and Engineers but do they get anyone from the other parts the army say the Intel side?

  • anyone can join as long as they're tough enough, both mentally & physically, Andy McNab was a Royal Green Jacket, approximately 60% of the SAS are from The Para's theres also a few Marines such as Bob Consiglio from Bravo Two Zero, but for the most part marines go into the SBS.

  • @tomf1234567 Any male member of the armed forces can apply (Navy, Army or RAF) as long as they have the sufficient qualifying service of 3 years.

  • @ modernsoldier1 thats ok, dont need to look it up, i belive u :) it still looks great...frightening

  • @balubulaba ok , sorry mate , its just because there is so much peaple that say anything just to look great (sorry for the fault , im quebecor)

  • if your in the S.A.S you wouldn't be talking about it here you would yer kicked in

  • I'm american and I am not afraid to admit that the SAS Are Better then The Spec Ops

Spec Ops = American Special Forces

SAS = British Special Forces DUH

  • No one is better.

    You're either good or dead.

  • @Section014 Spec Ops refers to ALL special operations units. And you can't compare forces whose actual training and missions are kept secret (referring to Delta Force and Navy SEALS DEVGRU, Americas premiere counter-terrorrism units).

  • @marineAV well mate true enough, but did u know back in the late seventies 8 sas operatives held off 300 armed rebels that were trying to kill one of the Sudanese royals and beat them all off with only galils and a 80mm cannon which one sas guy operated ( where normally its a 4 man job to operate) now thats bad ass man

  • @Section014 Australian sas is better

  • @4tw4tw4tw what else can you surmise?

  • @Section014

Spec Ops = indeed American Special Forces

    SAS = Special Air Service

  • @Section014 ummm

    no

    Specs ops means special forces.

    British: SAS, SBS SRR

U.S SEALS, Delta Force, Green Berets

  • if you were in the SAS you WOULDNT have time to go on youtube you nooobb

  • Are you stupid, SAS soldiers have a life outside of being the best in the world soldiers may come on to listen to music watch funny videos who knows but if you see somone saying ther in the SAS then maby stupid enough to think everyone would belive them.

  • Yeh exactly they're not allowed to admit they're in the SAS so even if an SAS soldier came on youtube and commented on videos he would NEVER say what he does for a living, when Chris Ryan had escaped iraq he was asked by an RAF pilot what his name was so he could log it on the flight sheet, Ryan refused cos he did have to say, if any SAS guy gets arrested by the police they'll refuse to give their name and use their phonecall to call HQ.

  • Trainees actually die in this killhouse because the SAS use live bullets for their training, but the death rate is low. This just proves that the SAS are modern day gladiators.

  • its not just the Killhourse where SAS soldiers die in training, Chris Ryan talked about a training exercise the whole of B squadron did in Africa and one of the guys from mountain troop died in a climbing accident, their training is so close to the real thing to ensure they don't freeze up when they go on a real mission.

  • been lucky enough to watch them train at pontrelise fuck me those guys are good.but what do you expect there british

  • the kid that said he was in S.A.S his profile said he was 20 years old lol

  • You fucking idiot.

  • when people make part from a CT unit, they have a nick such "Tactics, Warrior, Special etc" or something like that... i saw your channel and you have no army videos, not even favourited...u have just rock and metal videos...So... it comes very hard to me to believe that u are part of SAS... I have to make a movie about SAS for my school... so some help is needed.... but.... if you really are part of SAS... not just another kid who played to much Counter-Strike! Cheers!

  • wrong the killing house is not meatal

it is a brick walled house with rubber coated walls to catch stray rounds

and cctv cameras at every corner in the rooms!!!!

    pwned!!!!

  • I said it was MENTAL you dumbfuck

  • your not in the SAS lol

  • no, you said it was metal

  • dont talk bollocks mate if you were SAS u wouldnt be blabbing about it on here

  • yeah right idiot

  • ur not in the SAS, your just a fat shit

  • Please don't lie about such things. It's insulting.

  • MrXXoooXX

You're never was in the Marines and the SAS. Because I tell you, you have a bad English. "I was shooted with 4 bullets". Funny you can't correct a kindergarten level of English.

  • You were 'shooted' were you?

A member of the marine force wouldn't say 'shooted'.

They'd say you were a lying little cunt :)

  • The S.A.S are the fucking nuts. Quality.

  • niice vid....

hoping after i leave the army i will love to join the sas and go through the selcetion proccess

  • Good luck to you. GO GO GO!

  • you can try out for the selection training while in the army

  • i think you said everything backwards.

  • Thats VERRRYY VERRYY Difficult. Have to serve 3 years in the regular Army.

And the selection process is next to impossible. good luck with it anyway.

  • have fun with that forty mile ruck march

  • great video it took me ages to find this. great upoload the guy who talks on the video has a great book about his time in the sas called soldier i. cheers

  • 3 years military service minimum and then you can apply for selection.

  • Comment removed

  • brithis resperator S10,...look great on them, this really is fascinating "speed, aggression, surprise" SAS : D and,.."train hard fight easy" all the books of andy McNab,telling about the SAS are great by the way!

  • it's not s10 , it's the sf10 , look on google or something , you will see the diference

  • i got to know SAS from a game i've been obsessed with, Call Of Duty 4...man these guys are damn good! SAS is the best there is!

  • Yeah the SAS are fucking amazing, but Call Of Duty 4 have over exadurated the fact that they are good, there is no way one man and another injured guy whos lost power of the lower part of his body can kill around 300 people alone haha, it would take a troop of about

70/90 SAS Members to complete that mission, but they usually go around in groups of 4. Good observasions anyway about SAS + COD4, they are very very good :)

  • if you meant the assassination of Al-Asad. It wasnt even up to 100. And btw, it is possible.

  • thats not what he meant.

the sniper mission, where your spotter's legs were blown off, and you carry him to the ferris wheel place?

  • do u have 2 be in the british army 2 apply 4 SAS?~plz Reply,lol

  • Think so...

  • To apply for 22 SAS (the regular regiment) you must be serving in the British Army, or one of the territorial SAS regiments, 21 and 23. You can apply for the territorial SAS regiments straight from civilian life without any military service.

  • richie ... I heard they invite people not you apply ? O_O correct me if im wrong I got told that by some dude.

  • im fairly sure you dont get invited, you actively apply. there is no minimum rank you must be to apply either

  • usually your only considered if u are in the bristish army for about 4 years and are at least a 1st Lieutenant

  • You have to be invited by them : ]

  • oh,lol

  • u have to have at least five years experience either in the british army

    navy or raf

  • This clip came from the documentary "SAS: The Soldier's Story" based on a book of the same name by Jack Ramsay from 1996.

The motto "Train Hard, Fight Easy" was originally said by Marshal Aleksandr Vasil'evich Suvorov (1730 - 1800), one of the greatest military leaders of any country.

  • And all I will say is: if anyone can kill any of the SAS, they'd be 1 lucky bastard, followed by unlucky with 30 rounds in their chest!

  • sas allways use live ammunition to simulate realism, that just shows how these guys are seriously the top of the leauge when it comes to special forces

  • I've always been interested in the SAS but I always wonder, what's the reason behind the constant gasmask use? It just seems like every picture or video I watch (no, I'm not basing that solely on call of duty) they're masked. I know that you can never be sure what the other guy is packing but just wondering if there's another purpose.

  • First of all the SAS do not always use gasmasks - there have ben many pictures of them wearing headscarfs etc or nothing.

The Gasmasks have several uses aparrently. 1. to protect from harmful gases smoke that may be used. 2. They have filters in the eyes that reduce the effects of flashbangs. 3. To hide operators ID. 4. Together with the black suit they give a shock effect to the enemy that actually delays reactions slightly (like wtf!!!)

    sources - other sas documentaries!!

  • Yep, thats about the long and the short of it.

  • I guess it just happens that most stuff I see has them masked then. I collect gasmasks and am currently looking for an SF-10 but with the introduction of the FM-12 the already scarce '10 is even harder to find. Sorry, that was off topic lol.

  • because they look OWNAGE!

  • i think i have a well used s10 is there a difference between s and sf. i also have superb prints of the famous stand by prints

  • they wear these masks in counter-terrorrism operations...

  • fun

  • Amazing stuff. Thankfully COD4 didn't show what the SAS actually do, otherwise we could be popping 2 terrorists in the whole game and spending 6 hours in standbys, and paying £40 for it.

Good thing to see someone who actually knows thier stuff, somethunder86!

  • is this real?

  • Yes it is

  • somethunder96 do you, by any chance, know from what documentary/ whatever, this videos is from?

  • this is not real - the voice over is a real ex SAS operator - the video is played by actors. You will not get camera footage from inside the killing houses in hereford. The Ministry Of Defense would simply not allow it.

  • yes i think we all know this.

  • The guy who I was answering didnt. pmsl

  • no actually, at some of the others, and yeah there was a few colour cards im refairing to one certain instance being the SAS man who couldn't defend himself during a car jacking of which he though the attacker was armed but couldnt prove it.

  • These dumb ass Americans are wrong and slightly retarded however atleast there patriotic about there military, more then some other cunts on here.

  • Northern Ireland had a whole new set of rules, one of which the Green Card preventing the use of weapon use in certain situation resulting in the soldier serving prison time, i think you will find i know more then you do it would apear if your comment is trying to say im a moron, how about the time with the SAS guy in the car and he was jacked while on an operation and wasnt allowed to do anything about it incase the guy was lying about being armed, its pond life civys that cause deaths abroad.

  • Is this directed at me?

The common card soldiers got was the infamous "yellow card" however there were other coloured cards for different situations. I think there was also a red card for more extreme situations.

  • So you suggest clearing an entire embasey of hostages and terrorists and i mean every room in under 3 mins silently? do you think that flashbangs are silent you moron, you would use flash on one room and the hostiges would be dead befoe you got to the next. lol US are a joke SAS wrote the SEAL CQB manual, and stil holds the record of best counter terrorist unit in the WORLD!!!

  • Comment removed

  • My father was in the SAS from 84 to 99. He said that the kill house is live fire and you charge the room and they would put live people into the room and it was up 2 you not 2 kill them.

  • was he SASR or 22nd?

  • respect to the s.a.s the best fightin force in the world i know someone who is in the s.a.s

  • haha
