i had an ms dos laptop. it was my first ever laptop. then i had a windows 3.11 laptop...compaq, then i had a 400mz pcu xp pc, then an 800mhz cpu xp machine now i have a 2004 qtech 2.66ghz cpu, 1.5gb am and a 512mb nvidia 6200. original gpu was an SiS mirage 32mb onboard. and it originally had 1gb of ram. vintage
i remember that all the cool guys had 2mb of ram back than :D Ahh good old times.Kinda miss them :( Life was much more intresting and the technology made seryous steps up.If now someone invents a 100000 terabites hard drive it wount problaby suprise anyone. But if you would go back to 90s and show someone a memory stic that has 10gigs which is 1000 times more than some company memory all together.Thats a suprise.(Sry for my english aint the best i know but im sure ewryone got the point)
it looks like a laptop... i know MS-DOS computer that are like a "computer of today" (it had a processor, a monitor and things like the mouse etc. ...)
my mom had to use those in college to write her papers she said she had to type in a code or something like that to start it up and just to write her papers
The keyboard was in the style of an old spring loaded keyboard, reminiscent of old IBM OS/360 Twinax terminal keyboards. I love this keyboard more so than the keyboard on my gateway laptop now, mainly because you know when you're typing on it since it sits so high above the rest of the computer.
@astrotech I'm glad you've said that. Keyboard these days seem to wear out very quickly, yet I have a few old machines that have been used just as much if not more and they aren't worn.
Not really that slow of a boot up, especially on a floppy.
Is that a Zenith computer, or Leading Edge? (Looks like the old Leading Edge computer I have, 16MHz, somewhere around 2MB of RAM... 1993, it was about $2000-3000)
The logo looks like Zenith... case looks like Leading Edge.

yeah, just type edit new.txt, alt+f to bring down the file menu (if you don't have a mouse), save it, or print it.

I reckon the notebook keyboards back in those days are much better than what we have now, they just make you feel better for some reasons.
