  • What a great series of films...RIP to O'Rourke and the others (Dunne and Sampson)

  • R.I.P. Dommonique dunne and heather o rourke and all of the other actors who died that were assiciated with this film

  • R.I.P Heather O'Rourke we all miss you :(

  • My Mum had this on cassette and she would use it as a lullaby for me and my brother, but would always cut off the creepy laughter.

  • 3:14 to 3:20. WTF

  • Why is everyone saying this is fake? o.o This IS the same version I heard in the movie! I don't remember if it was the first or second one, but it sounded exactly like this!

  • and no one says R.I.P to dominique dunne who was killed by her boyfriend. She could of been a big star.

    R.I.P Dominique

  • @SophiaNC24

    Yeah I noticed that too.

    RIP Dominique.

  • @SophiaNC24 Thats too bad, it messed with the consistency between the 1st and 2nd movies!

  • i know nobody likes the 1999 remake The Haunting but Jerry's soundtrack for that is pretty creepy. Despite the fact that the movie isn't scary at all.

  • RIP Heather O'Rourke and Jerry Goldsmith. You were both amazing

  • RIP Heather O'Rourke & Jerry Goldsmith.

  • the one thing that i've learned from this movie is to never disturb the dead cause the dead don't like it when somebody wakes them up from their eternal sleep

  • that laugh at the end of this song reminds me of the laugh from cod black ops zombies when you fail on kino der toten

  • Otra obra maestra de Steven Allan Spielberg

  • you only moved the headstones!!!

  • Just beautiful. :-)

  • they're here

  • *Ahem* Now, who was the moron who decided to use REAL skeletons?

  • @TheBeatlesRoooock The director if I remember correctly. & he didn't tell the stars of the movie until after the movie was finished.

  • @Lizfan2 Lol, I wonder what their reactions were. XD You know, besides, um, death.

  • @TheBeatlesRoooock No idea.

  • @TheBeatlesRoooock Imagine the conversations around that:

"Hey, Great Grandma is going to be in a movie called 'Poltergeist'!"

"Didn't she die 50 years ago?"

    "Yeah, about that..."

  • @Jeff98177 Hahahahaha

  • I always listen to this song :) it's so beautiful :)

  • 3 people are haunted by Miley Virus and Justin Beaver!

  • Yes the ending laugh is freaky as hell

  • @BaoziPork "Yes the ending laugh is freaky as hell" - I know. I remember when I was a kid vividly thinking those were real kids in the background who were ghosts. Want something real scary? Listen to the ending for "The New Twilight Zone"!

  • this would be nice if there was no laughing at the end..and if I knew it wasn't in a scary movie lol.

  • it is relaxing sarahangelx. ghost's are stuck on this earth. they wonder endlessly the only way to know there there is they mess with you they are very lonely and i wish that i could help them but there is know way to help a person once they go to the other side. i hope my cousin dj is on the other side now. watching every move i make.

  • Call me crazy, but I don't think this is creepy at all. I actually think its quite peaceful & relaxing :}

  • @kubuline tube catcher

  • ^^

  • Whenever I see beautiful suburban neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area in beautiful rows upon rows of the same exact design, I always remember this theme and I just love Southern Californian Suburbia.

  • Mmm this is nice to listen to {:)

  • @kubuline There is a free program called Free Youtube To MP3 Converter where you can download any audio you want just by copy/paste the URL.

  • soo errie and haunting

  • Very classic,

  • Yep, it's all peaceful and beautiful....and then the end comes and the laughing scares the crap out of you. /=

  • This song is very eerily beautiful.

  • I know right i so agree, the sould just leave it alone! original is always better!

  • Absolutely love this melody.. thanks for uploading it.

  • Sleep tight Heather O'Rourke.

You're a star in heaven now.

Damn you passed away much to soon sweet little girl.

Only 12 years old, and nobody knows why.

I really hope you are in a nicer place sweet girl... I really do.

  • 3 people did not run into the light.

  • R.I.P Heather o Rourke

  • 3 dislikes are fucking dumb fool! they're an angel from heaven! LOL

  • They're here...

  • not a scary track, infact a very sad song very peaceful ,just makes me think of kids playing in the sun and running around in the park x

  • this song makes me burst into tears. i don't really know why.

  • @blahblahboyee exactly the same here too m8

  • Dont know why but this makes me happy.

  • this is creepy. and the kids are scary too.

  • "You moved the headstones but you didn't move the bodies!"

  • @Phabaitos lol thumbs up for you

  • They're here...

  • This song reminds me of 1982 when I had so much potential. This was when I was a child. Before I fucked my credit and my life up.

  • C'est GLAUQUE.

  • We love you Heather O'Rourke RIP

  • "God is in, his holy temple" Creepy old goon. Scared the crap outta me.

  • RIP Heather <3

  • omg turn it off it's too creepy to listen to!

  • la la la la

  • it is beautiful till it reaches the end. the endin is kinda creepy.

i remember that i was so surprised to hear that this was believed to have been the entrance theme song of Neverland Valley Ranch.lol no way. wonder who on earth made up such a crazy rumor.

  • Reminds me of Enfield 1977

  • the songtext is so great :')

  • i love this.it isnt scary, its creepy but for some reason it makes you think of scary things!

  • It must really know what scares me, this song.

  • I find this somewhat sooting, apart from the end...

  • @thedialgafan me too.lol

  • Miss you Heather

  • la la la la la la lala la la la la

  • imagine walking down a graveyard and hearing this....

  • @Superkid64 i would cry thinking of that young sweet little girl passing away r.i.p. heather o rourke

  • not scary, but very great ;)

  • whoever came up with this theme is a genius!!

  • @daisyhinojosa23 jerry goldsmith composed the soundtrack... i like it too

  • @daisyhinojosa23, it's the Jerry Goldsmith when he made the score of Rambo, First Blood on the same year.

Also, winning the Oscar of the captivating horror classic: the Omen. Too bad he's gone but his music will lived for a long time. RIP - Jerry Goldsmith, we'll miss you.

  • @daisyhinojosa23 it's the same guy the came up with the theme for the Star Trek Movies I believe

  • just a lovely soundtrack sad music, not scary at all remine me of a summers day with kids playing in the garden x

  • Everytime i hear this music i think of that poor girl who died during the making of the 3rd movie , what an angel she was then and what an angel she is now i'm sure ....RIP Heather .....

  • The calmness of the song is what makes it and the movie so scary. Using it was absolute GENIUS. Unlike using frightening soundtracks like Elm St and Friday the 13th, this was a very different method.....and it worked wonderfully.

  • this movie & "shining" still creep me out, they'll never be dated to me.

  • The music itself is lovely. It only becomes creepy in the context of the movie. We were at a praty tonight when someone who had never even heard of the movie heard the song and remarked that it was a beautiful song and couldn't understand why it was on a Halloween DC.

  • Wie ungruselig.

  • I have this halloween horror theme song cd that I love playing around halloween and Poltergeist is my favorite theme song to play over and over...i dunno why haha

  • this song makes me cry:L it always has ever since i was little, and even more now as i found out that little girls dead, R.I.P Heather(a)

  • 1 person was haunted by the ghost

  • Awh Beautifull<'3

    ........

    O.o laughing at the end..

    WAAAAAAA

  • That's a remake...it sucks ass.

  • I'll never forget this song,it kept me at the edge of my seat when i watched this movie

  • I like ti... just the laughing at the end sorta kills it.

  • i like this song to listen to but not so often.lol the melody sounds bright and beautiful but kinda dark and sad at the same time. it's wierd. maybe that's why i like this song. the laughin part sounds too artificial but still creepy.

  • I love this song brings back memories the song is so sad..Genius:)

  • Das waren die 80er Jahre!!!

Gott bin ich froh, das ich Zeiten erleben durfte in denen man vor der Flimmerkiste noch richtig beeindruckt wurde.....

  • einfach genial :-)

  • I think this song is beautiful, and really, REALLY far from scaring

  • @mokoarisegawa i agree

  • note to self: never, and I mean NEVER!! listen to this right before you go to bed!!! <:O scary as hell! xD

  • @IronTitty xDDDDDD GRAXIAS WE NO LO ARE xDD

  • @IronTitty

I woke up with this playing in my head this morning... It did sorta creep me out...

  • Gives me goosebumbs AND makes my eyes water a bit... this is fantastic.

  • One need to have the connection to the movie really to find music a score creepy. I heard the soundtrack to the Exorcist way before seeing the movie so to me "Tubular Bells" are in no way creepy, even thou this one does get a nit creepy with the lathing finale. Simple sung scores like this one can really get creepy with the right connection, just like the lullaby in "Rosemary's baby"

  • sad muisc

  • Personally i don't think that it is creepy. But it is very sad and brings back memories ...

I think its a masterpiece of music. It provokes mixed feelings. Others find it creepy, others plain sad, others love it for the nostalgia factor.

  • Oh my giddy gosh, I like it

  • Gives me goosebumps.

  • Oh my gosh...that is probably the most beautiful and sad thing I've ever heard. My mum was telling me about this but I couldn't remember...but I actually cried when I heard this.

  • One of my favorites among movie soundtracks- am really grateful to you for uploadiing it- earned 18 points total.

  • Very disturbing..but cool !

  • i herd there making a remake finally with more of the henry kane charector.

  • @romerider6969 No remake will ever be as good as the original.

  • @Lizfan2 The only things remake do, are give suspense before they come out. Like, "Say, is this gonna be like the original?" Just things like that.

  • @WarOfSalvation Maybe but it still wouldn't be as good.

  • @Lizfan2 Of course not. The only thing good about remakes is the suspense before they come out. That's it.

  • A so scary song as the own movie!

RIP Heather O´Rourke and Dominique Dumme.

  • @garduvino It's Dominique Dunne, not Dominique Dumme.

  • Ok, thank you for the correction.

RIP Heather O´Rourke and Dominique Dunne.

  • The movie's not too scary. It depends on what your idea of "too scary" is.

  • It is the origional soundtrack Rowan07001484

I too have all 3 soundtracks to the films

And i have watched all 3 films over 1,000 times :-)

  • What is this called? I love it! its so creepy hahah, and the laughing at the end is the icing on the cake!

  • Creepy as hell, especially the laughing at the end.

  • @supercyberfunk

    yup.

  • Is this some kind of synthesizer cover?

  • need 2 see the movie

  • It is the origional axxxezzz because i have all 3 soundtracks to the 3 films

  • This is obviously not an orchestra playing.

  • it's not the original, it sounds similar. But it is not the one from the film.

  • it's not the original
