  • death spray wow all these cars were good and its really dumb and useless it just making more breaking more

  • i would burry my car with me when i'm dead before these assholes get my car!

  • All has to do with greed. People junking out very nice good running cars and trucks going from having something that is paid off to having to make payments again. Going from having something they can work on themself to having something they have to pay a mechanic to fix in the long run because of more and more computer related problems. I am a clunker owner and proud of it. I can open my hood and know what exactly to do and not worry about being stranded & pay high prices for car repair & parts

  • Cash for Clunkers was only made for profit.

People can't afford cars = They have to obtain loans

Getting a loan is how a bank makes money.

    Banks make money.

    Car manufacturer makes money.

People are screwed over once again.

  • America is sic , what started out with cars will eventually continue with people

  • I work at a dealership, and I witnessed a beautiful 1987 k5 4x4 blazer die. I even got to drive it a few times, no dents, no rips in the seats, engine fired up first time, 4x4 worked like a dream, and it was clean not a spot.

    P.S. miles under 70k

fuck that, america is quickly becoming a communist country, don't hate the truth people.

  • this is just an example of how modern government's look after the rich and piss on the poor, some people say that an old car with problems can hurt your wallet , its the government that hurt your wallet and looking at this your heart too, i feel sorry for the American people having to put up with this shit , they deserve better ,

  • obama is the real clunker-fire his worthless marxist ass in 2012!

  • unbelievable what craps americans are.. you will not find a w126 under 1500$ in germany.. even if its completely rusted through..

  • they did this to keep poor folks like myself, from finding a good reliable used car...i have no credit,so a new car is out of the question..half those car they show in this video, i would have loved to drive

  • Your argument is uninformed and not thought through. The cars that qualified produced high emissions. Think what a scam it would have been if someone had qualified for the program so that their high emissions producing car could be "neutralized" only for some other person to take that same car and to start driving it. The program had the environment as one of its main goals. That's why they had to be destroyed.

  • Right on George. Obama is a democrat yes? His administration share his same views yes? What does everybody expect? No one in this administration has any business experience. None. Zero. People should be outraged.

  • throw away america

  • Never underestimate the Masonic, Illuminist Talmudist Jews in power and finance; they are behind all the nastiness from the suppression of the Shay's rebellion in 1792 to the planned BP disaster of today. Why pay income taxes? This only funds these filthy Jews with their evil agendas. Lone tax protests will NOT work. It's all or nothing when refusing to pay incone taxes.

  • It just added more junk to landfills-GREEN? This program was intended for corporations to make more money. Only the people with a job and money at that time benefitted from the program. Instead, why not invent some kind of component or part to burn less and cleaner fuel; and easily installs on vehicles. Auto manufacturers owe it to earth and consumers to pick up the tab on something like this. After all they made these clunkers; they should join in with BP and clean up their own mess.God Bless

  • hmm, why would they destroy every car in america that they can't already turn off remotely?

remember what OnStar is? The government got it with GM. now it's everywhere. and they are destroying all of the other cars as fast as they can. how much energy does a crusher expend?

people, your government doesn't want you to go anywhere. that should have been obvious in your airports. now the TSA is "securing" buses and trains. you wanna swipe a card to cross the street? stick around.

  • How dare people judge Lord Master Borrack Obama savior of saviors, the alfa and the omega, more powerfull than Jay-HOVA,pure noble,a man with no sin,who resurected on his first election, man of powers beyond Moses, people who challenge Lord Obama should be put to death, cash for clunkers was a miracle for the enviroment and proof of the magic Lord Obama king of kings have....p.s somebody shoot me please i voted for that bastard.

  • the whole thing is BS why not part them out? we buy motors from japan that are used?

  • Thankfully my 1997 V8 AWD Merc. Mountaineer did not go to waste. I did not trade it in when all yall get stuck in your priuses give me a call $100 a pop doubble if you were one of the sheep that turned in a Land Rover

  • Comment removed

  • what are the cemicals they pour into the engine, I'm guessing it brakes down the oil so it doesn't lubricate?

  • I tried to trade in my big old run-down clunker but they told me that my

    ex-girlfriend didn't qualify

  • Its about driving a wedge between rich and poor.... less second hand cars means less infrastructure for a growing lower or middle class...

  • i have a video on a cash for clunkers car that would make you be like wtf

  • cash for clunkers was a Chinese idea not a bombalone deal. Teh chinese wanted a return for the failing American dollar. So they came up with the idea to get teh only scrap that was left in the States, our workign vehicles.

Really, for the last few years China has purchased every hide, scrap of metal, wood & plastic. Can anyone tell me where in the U.S. are all these recycled products being re-used? I just had to pay $2,800.00 dollars for a rebuilt jeep 6 cyl engine.

  • hey guy you got any proof of that? the only referances i can find are people asking about it cause they heard it on here and the only confirmation is here on this youtube channel

although the chineese are doing the same kind of program ill bet they dont buy our cars they also get to turn in kitchen appliances

  • A while back I saw one of the news programs on NPR , they were interviewing a chinese guy, American who traded in metals. He takled about the failing dollar and how China could re coop their losses through scrap steel.

  • the purpose was not to recycle cars. It's to get steel.

  • how many more youtube comments until we figure out the LAND IS OURS the system will fail look at history, it's not if but when, one day the man turning guns into plows we be the communities asset and that will be the changes that comes by the barrel of a GUN, sadly it will probably be after KIDS WITH GUNS burn the motherfucker down while the bank fucks abscond to island homesteads so they can get of on controlling a smaller amount of pheasants

  • its not that our taxes are the collateral: WE ARE THE COLLATERAL. Our birth certificates are the titles of our selves, as commodities able to be valued and traded. We need be healthy and disciplined enough, managed by the police, medical, education system to contribute economically with our labor. The longer we stay within the structure of the system, contributing, taking part in this farce, the more we labor: thereby paying taxes, lining the pockets of the elites. Investigate UCC!

  • C4C makes total sense if you know what the NWO is about. It is called sharing the wealth.. When actually it is a scam to move more wealth into the pockets of the rich bankers. C4C has to be an accounting scheme, where someone buys a car, trades in their old one, and the loss of the overvalued trade in is written off, so the banks and car dealers pay less taxes. Meanwhile the rest of soceity has to pick up the tab in their income tax. The Fed loans out more money and our taxes are the collateral.

  • cash for clunkers is a good goverment policy... to make american people do more walking than driving. Good for health and environment. Reduce goverment expense on health care in the long run.

  • Yea, you're a dumb ass. They did it so more people would purchase new vehicles, helping out the struggling car companies.

  • and instill them with more debt...........

the stupidity in some people is crazy...........

  • by buying foriegn cars?

  • @thestratepimp I think people bought a lot of Hondas and Toyotas . Not many Fords or GM.

  • Uhh you realize people had to buy new cars to participate in C4C, right?

  • think about this. They take a car that has physical value, and sell you a car that you now owe money for. they are taking physical property in exchange for ther useless federal reserve notes. they are probably selling the scrap metal to foreign countries. something fishy is going on...

  • @thechadmanhl2 Not Probably, rather Absolutely! as the whole idea behind was C4C was coined by one Chinese General in a round table discussion as a way for China to retain the (weak) US dollar in & obtain the raw materials that they needed for their growth, This 2 Billion $ kickback was a done in a manner to "bribe" the foreign government & salvage some dignity out off the deal (I'm against C4C don't get me wrong, but w/o it there would have been economic collapse far sooner here.)

  • Again, policymakers blind at the wheel.

  • A 1965 Mustang was too old for the 4,500 dollar prop up for the auto industry. Only 1984 and newer vehicles were accepted into the program.

  • Hell, there are dealerships still waiting on their govmoney

  • Obama is such a fuck-up. How could anyone think this was a good program?

  • but the europeans do cash for clunkers.--If they do it so should we!

    (sarcasm)

  • This whole thing was so retarded, wonder if this is foreshadowing for the answer to our housing prices and home "surplus"- we have empty ones all over.

The cap and trade bill talks about house to house carbon searches and "unlawful occupancy" of environmentally unfriendly homes.

There's probably going to be some nice government money in residential demo coming up soon if anybody wants to get rich

  • I wonder if the government still had to pay the junkyard to dispose of the clunkers, and how much it was? Maybe they did it for free, doubt it tho, wonder who was enforcing all this? Maybe you say in one of the other videos, I gotta watch the whole series.

I haven't heard of any junkyards getting busted for putting aside some of the nicer "waste" Maybe there was a federal clunker officer in there making sure everything was on the up and up

  • You must obey the Obamanation!

  • Our government is the biggest bunch of jerks, and they want to run our health care! Give me a break, I don't trust them. Just wait for "Cap & Trade" they are going to ruin us!

  • Thanks George & Jeff.

Our government is way out of control!

  • "RipOff"? <---Absolutely!

Cost to taxpayers= $24,000 for each vehicle.

Only 1/4 of the new cars purchased were US-made.

This whole Cash-for-Clunkers program was an Epic Failure!

And these same weasels in Washington want to put our Healthcare system under their control?!!

Using the same ratio of cost over run...their Healthcare numbers will end up costing 4 times as much!

Oh but they will get what they wanted though....which is Total Control over our lives.

  • Comment removed

  • The government is in self destruct mode at the peoples expense. It's there's to destroy at least that's what they believe since there's no one standing in there way.

  • Cash for clunker, people who had paid off cars turn them into people who have additional debt and paying interest to banks.

  • Is the government really that stupid? Who really believes they did this to stimulate the economy? sure they got quite a few people under contracts on new vehicles....I have a different take on it.... maybe its because I used to play Risk. What does the government need that they;d be willing to pay for in a time of war or in advance of a major war? Raw materials. Steel... which is used to build? Tanks, Humvee s, Guns, etc. Think about it.

  • George, I have been watching your videos and others which are quite good, visionvictory, endlessmtn - btw thanks - and seeing this type of talking head TV coming along nicely - yet there is something going on at youtube that is nefarious - (a message i just received) The powers that be do manipulate how many views there are on videos of this type of information, anything that goes against the normal that we are suppose to believe. - Youtube controls virality ... lol or I am just paranoid -yea

  • what was the message?

  • just proves the point that people are greedy/ stupied in this country.

  • This is criminal!

  • Here is the math:

15,000 vehicle after raising price for trade

    -5000 for trade

    10000 paid

2000 tax on trade added on price

    12000 total

1000 tax on plating n licence

    13000 total

Every American who participated acually ended up in the hole for 8000 for a 5000 vehicle(averaged)traded in.

Just another way of sucking money from those who have it! I just wonder if there was anyone who did this math prior to doing it?!

  • Sometimes the only way to restart a bad economy is destroy everything you have - (needlessly), and rebuild everything from scratch... this usually happens as a result of wars - but if no one can or will conquer you, you must destroy yourself - sort of punch yourself in the face - because as a nation you would otherwise be bored or have too much free time on your hands.

if you're an industrialist / economic traditionalist, you probably lack the imagination to do something else with your life!

  • I think its because Gas guzzlers would be useful in Martial Law in the US so theyre taking them from us and giving us low HP cars that cant do shit.

  • You're right. Hey remember several years ago, the govt mandated that U.S. auto makers to build 4x4's with major changes to the bumper heights and ground clearances. And the lower bumper height and lower ground clearance basically made most 4x4's unfit for off-road usage. This scheme really stripped-down the usefulness of this type of vehicle. Just think about it.

  • Buy a jeep. They are awesome 4x4. U can get a pretty nice one used for about 5000 or less.

  • what a waste

  • Your right, many cars shouldnt be scraped. We the taxpayer pickup part of the bill again. They shouldnt allow all vehichles to be crushed. Look at the new SUVs they are still gas guzzlers.

  • And not only that, but you could have at least modified it some way to get better gas mileage from it. I'm sure there are ways of doing that in which would turn out cheaper than just destroying it. Even if was a gas guzzler no matter what...they would have provided good use for many years (whether or not you think they should be drivable because of their fuel efficiency).

Also, I find it kind of funny that the top ten warmest years are in declining order.

  • Thankyou Taylor, Our govt. is so wastfull. So many cars could have helped a lot of people. Americans are really themselves, what is the govt. thinking???

  • Good info, great observations, but I could disagree about the (supposed) Westfalia. There was little Westfalia there, just an old, obviously used up VW van. Fix it up, and have a dangerous unreliable vehicle.

Nice arguments, but the VW, and the 65 mustang, aren't really worth jack. If someone wants to pay too much for what I call dinosaur worship, that's up to them.

Cash for clunkers, just like the home buyers credit, was and always be a bad idea.

  • Strange... i don't recall this program having anything to do with the Green/Environment movement.

But even if it is who cares how they're treating the vehicles? This country has larger things to care about right now.

Not to mention this guy in the video "chose" to turn his vehicle in....He accepted money for it....End of Story!

    Talk about crying over nothing.

  • George I have seen perfectly good cars go to waste. Now people that traded in there perfectly good cars for new ones they cant afored. People Don't understand that these cars will just go to waste. ITS NOT GREEN ITS BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.

  • Pulitzer for George4title!

  • With you 100% Here in the UK it,s the same the car auctions are suffering because trade in,s that would be sent through the auctions are now been destroyed.

  • The clunker program helped the dealerships, not the customers. Now the customers are stuck with car payments.

  • the banks profit is the bottom line, not the people

  • All those spare parts could have been used! What a waste! These criminals want to impose new green taxes and bankrupt the whole world.

  • This program did what government does best: destroy.

Government is not reason or cooperation but force and a consuming fire. It steals and destroys.

  • Unfortunately there are other countries that are copying this foolishness as well. It is simply outrageous.

  • That was classic. When George said, how much more will Americans waste, this fat chick floats by the camera. Awesome!!!!

  • This was NEVER intended as a "GREEN" program! This was ONLY A FINANCIAL STIMULUS PROGRAM!! "Green" was used as a marketing tool only....

  • there's 400 million cars in america. 200k cars getting toasted aint jack shit

  • "cash for clunkers" is just another example of how insane our government has become, and how stupid and compliant the populace is. It's hard to believe anyone bought into the notion that this program was "green", or that it benefits the economy in anyway but the most temporary and short sighted way.

  • people like myself cant afford to buy a new car , we rely onfinding good used cars , looks like this could make it harder in the future .

  • And the used cars you do find will be more expensive because there will be less of them around.

  • I'm all for cleaner air by investing in cleaner energy..but while the entire world is in a financial rut is crazy. These so-called "scientists" claim that in, for example, 100 years the average temperature will rise about 1 degree. And it seems like everyone is in such a rush to spend as much money as they can to contribute to this. I'm not sold on the global warming theory but I'd just like to live in a cleaner environment. But right now, nobody is in any kind of shape to do so.

  • Yes they are. Instead of using a car, they could use a bicycle, and maybe live a little closer to where they work (if they have a job that is). Better for your health anyway.

  • But drive throughs won't serve people in bicycles. lol

  • There you go. You'd think they wouldn't care...hey, who turns down business in this economy?!!

  • They do in a golf cart =)

  • "Better for your health 'anyways'." That basically tells me you buy into all the global warming crap. That's a different story anyway. But what I mean is that all you hear about is investing and spending tons of money (aka let's mortgage our future) into something that may not be developed for many years (and then it has to be a program in which we can benefit from financially). Also, it kinda goes without saying that a bike is cheaper to use than a car is to drive.

  • No. By using a bicycle you get exercise, hence the "better for your health" part. Ever heard of exercise? Didn't think so.

And no I don't think humans have caused climate change, although we are indeed polluting the earth.

  • It was the way you said "besides" as in, using a bike was just a supporting detail tacked on to whatever point you were trying to make, in which I assumed was your belief in GW. Whatever, don't matter. Oh, and I own two bikes and I ride out in the country where we live every other day. So, yeeaahhhh I understand the concept of exercise. lol. You're too funny.

And yes, we are 'polluting' the planet. But lets not forget our #1 green house gas...methane...which comes from cows and the ocean.

  • By polluting I'm leaning more towards the other crap that comes out of the exhaust pipes (not greenhouse gases) that pollute local forests and wildlife, and the toxic waste corporations dump in the lakes/rivers/oceans from chemical factories, the fertilizers and pesticides we use that degrade soil during longer periods and thus contribute to arable land loss etc. etc.

  • Ahhh I got ya. And, yep I agree, that's what's going on.

  • Now you all see how I feel about microsoft. People you have no effing clue how horrible microsoft truely is. You would shit your pants.

  • Not too many videos for me. Your mobile reporting is awesome. Keep up the great work mate.

  • 5 stars. Borrow to buy. The cash for these vehicles is coming from the government, which is in debt, so the people will pay. Perhaps more appropriate would be more cash for bankers?

  • Man I could have really used one of those cars. I'm 21 and can't afford my first car yet. Any one of those cars would have been a great upgrade from my bicycle.

  • Very good, widely shared. Greetings from France, where a donkey with a certain stripe down its back sells for as much as a cheap, old car.

  • where does all the shit go? To make tanks?

  • It simply written off. Then it magically disappears into la la land. Steel can be refined but I bet this shit just sits for decades.

  • This just shows how DUMB politicians actually are.

Who-ever came up with this idea (cash for clunkers) was/is a FUCKING IDIOT.

  • Don't even try reason about this Govt program or any other !!!The NWO's mission is to break us financially, then depopulate us.

  • @meikagirl Death to the NWO. I dare those fukkers to come on my land. Im that crazy bastard your parents warned you about. You know that one who bought the bomb shelter during the cold war.

  • This whole programme is BS, and is just a waste of taxpayers money.

  • this program is just like the god damn white house a CLUNKER!

  • No individual was forced to "trade in" their clunker under this program. For all of those screaming that the government coerced this behavior, remember that the Big Three all supported this program, including our off-shore competitors. Each person who traded in their car exercised their free right to dispose of their personal property in this manner. If you're hard-up to buy a clunker there are plenty of HIGHLY motivated people who I'm sure need the money.

  • But it's so wasteful. It's not "green." So much more stimulation of the economy could have been done by people, salvaging the good parts and all.

  • slobomotion - I'm not going to make a "green" defense for this program. But the comments on this video are leaning towards an argument of "government abuse". My comment was basically to state that the people who traded in these cars acted on their own free will. Salvage parts do not stimulate the economy since obviously it postpones new car purchases (that's why the engines were destroyed). The goal here has always been to quickly boost sales into dealerships, and it worked.

  • Oh, the old "quick fix," eh?

Good scrap parts here, what I can see (there was a scrap yard next door until two years ago -- now, it's low-cost housing) do help. Our cash program here encouraged new car buying for more efficient models, and the old ones and the old parts were carefully kept, to provide less-than-tops wheels to small business people. We've been in recovery since April, here. (I miss the USA tho and wish I could go back.) Best to ya!

  • Who has more money to buy your old car - somebody hard-up or the US Government? The government is taking cheap cars away from poor people using other people's money.

  • conradvink - I agree with you that the C4C program turned the used car market upside down. But my original comment about HIGHLY motivated people was in reference to the high level of poverty in the USA. As G4T has documented, people are walking away from their foreclosed homes. Don't you think there are plenty of people who need to sell their current car and have no intention of buying a new replacement model. All you need to do is think outside the box. There are plenty of cheap deals.

  • True, true. Be nice to have your own government on your side though, eh?

  • Too bad they can't take foreclosed abandoned houses to a House scrapyard. I guess thieves will take care of getting any scrapable metals out of houses.

I have a feeling one day America is going to be one giant scrapyard of cars, houses, empty big box stores, empty circuit cities, strip malls, office parks.

Yeah we def went the wrong way and keep going down the wrong road.

I guess our fearless leader Barry the Sheep herder will keep fleeceing us till we got nothing else to be fleeced.

  • Seems a spiteful govt policy. I think they must've sprayed the engine to stop the scrappy from reselling it.

I bought an engine from a scrappy for my Austin Mini for £100 in UK. It was dragged out of a massive pile of engines. Thats good green policy, not spraying them orange and wrecking them to stop people reusing them.

  • People gave there old cars away for the free money. We are materiel people who care about what we dive and are greedy . I have a 04 Chevy silverado with a 4.8 v8 witch gets 20 MPG with only 59000 miles. I did not do this C4C because my truck is just fine and the payments on the new one would be way more.

  • How much carbon emission was puked during the destruction of each engine? I heard some don't die easy. Several of the models to chose from for new cars won't be worth what many of these trade-in's for the C4C program would still be worth in five years in good running condition.. bummer...

  • why don't you send this and all other vids to the white house and congress.

    they don't get it.

stop hiding your message on just youtube

  • not to be rude to you... but don't you understand that they are doing this, they do not care, they are trying to destroy us

  • I believe these vids are to wake up those who are still dreaming..

  • Researchers at the University of Delaware, concluded that for each vehicle trade, the program had a net cost of approximately $2,000, with total costs outweighing all benefits by $1.4 billion

  • hes driving the exact same westfalia van my dad has same color tto those vans are awsome

  • The more videos the better, I watch them all from beginning to end.The series with Sami was very informative.

  • This behavior of our Country lately reminds me of China

  • When are they gonna have the " Cash for Coffeepots" ?

I have a small Mr Coffee pot and would like to trade it in on a Extra Large Chinese made coffeepot with lots of functions like timers and automatic features .

    Uncle Sam is insane !

  • once again all this put on the back of our children for what ?

  • first they recycle the cars...then they recycle the people. End of times my friends end of times.

  • A deathcamp for cars.

  • The government found another way to destroy wealth...

  • I guess it has come to this. SAD.

  • Cash printed out of thin air for clunkers? Why don't we just print our way to Prosperity. Oh I forgot about Hyper-Inflation!

  • Are videos loading slow for others or just me?

  • yt is really slow

  • I appreciate this series it's great. This whole chash for clunkers was criminal. Lot of dealers are closing daily. It also hurts the Auto parts & service industry. It hurts poor people looking for a good used car. It's triple dumb D.C. criminal argh... I digress.

  • Its not just you. They do that off and on. Especially if your watching right leaning vids.

  • Wait until they try and recycle the "Environmentally friendly" hybrid cars; that is going to be an environmental disaster the likes of which the world has yet to see. (There batteries and toxic electrical components)

  • The govts new motto should be 'take on new debt, we'll take care of the rest'...truly pathetic*

  • America has become a perversion of what it once was.

  • I heard it cost tax payers 24k per car

  • In reference to Financial Sense with Jim Puplava, Congress' $3 Billion cash for clunkers had only a $300 Million output. What sense does this make for "green" benefit? LOL

  • It makes no sense green or any other color to me. Its a dumbass policy. Lets bomb all the major cities because it will create construction jobs.

  • I think that would happen by a foregin entity anyway Daniel, lol. Youtube search "Shattered Union."

  • George man, great stuff. 5 star.

  • These are indeed CRAZY times

  • Its breaking windows to give someone a job. Typical moron economics
