Bill this is (pardon me) FUCKING AWESOME!!! I really really dig this song. I really like the sound you're getting from that Malmsteen. You look pretty comfortable way up high. Can you do that with the Les Paul?> I bet that'd sound nuts.
Brad, Thanks for your kind words! I really value your opinion as I've heard your playing and it's very quality.
I don't know if I can get the same effect from the Les Paul. Part of what you hear here is the sound of the scalloped frets at a fast pace, and another element is the stacked humbucker type pickup sound.
Stacked humbuckers?... I'm not familiar with that. Whatever you have going on, it's working. I'm anxious to hear the Les Paul with your new overdrive!
Just curious, is there any improv goin on here? I can't tell if its a practiced song or if you sort of made parts up on the fly. And thats a VERY good thing by the way; when you can make your improvs seem like you've been practicing them for years.
Very impressive playing. I'm not trying to be a dick but I think the soloing was little to shreddy in some parts, or at least the shred could have been different. It just didn't seem cohesive at some points. For example 5:27 to 5:38 just didn't feel right. I'm not saying abandon the shredding, just change it maybe. But, then again, that's up to you isn't it. That's just my 2 cents. You are very skilled though and the song was pretty sweet overall. Keep up the good work :)
Would you believe once upon a time I recorded an album with a band from Dallas called "The Cold" entitled "No Cure"? Hey, maybe this video will become "viral"!
your such an amazing guitarist bill chase (Y) i really enjoy listening to you play hope i can be that good one day :) hopefully we might be able to jam one day u know :)

Stacked humbuckers are single coil size with the coils stacked on top of each other. These are DiMarzios HS-3.
Yes, it's all improv, with one place where we all stop mid solo.

Thanks! I have another video posted where I used my Les Paul. Through my rig, the Yngwie Strat just sounds better.

You have a sick tone!

Thank you, I think. Or should I take the Strat to a doctor?

Yeah
You should
Having a tone that sick could transfer to your audience! lol
