That's Chris Holdsworth from Cobra Kai and the guy you hear talking to the ref is Marc Laimon. You may not like him but he is a good coach and teacher. I was lucky enough to train at Cobra Kai in November 2007. Marc is just a competitive guy so don't be like "oh he was fishing for advantages." Blue had half-guard but he didn't try to attack from there, in fact, I wasn't sure what he wanted to do. Holdsworth pushed the action and was closer to submissions so he should get the win.
hey i was wondering how many grapplers quests there are a year cause i cant compete this weekend at del mar and i was wondering when and where the next one in cali is. thx
Are you serious? Do you here that butt dart fishing points from the ref DURING THE MATCH ? Arbitrating points with a ref during a match is certainly not the appropriate time. Very dishonorable. I would be so embarrassed if that was my coach.
Not only that but red was the only one pushing the pace and actually trying to attack the pass or submission. blue stalled in half guard and desperately sat back on a couple footlocks.
Did any of you actually even watch the match? I had it red 3 adv-1 adv over blue. Red had the near guard pass, the footlock attempt (which was the only one that looked dangerous throughout the match), and the omaplata attempt for his 3 advantages. Blue had a couple footlock attempts but they never put him in danger. He went for that inverted armlock so thats the only real advantage point I saw that was potentially dangerous.

Regardless, it had no influence on the match so I think its irrelevant. How would you have scored the match and why?
