Businesses do not care about the workers. MSI did not care about me and 188 of us and laid us off and provided no job services for us at all. It was a call center and moved to another area for lower wages. I have given up and the real unemployment rate in Oregon really is 35%-55% and if you are disabled it is over 350%. All of us did not qualify for Trade Act benefits with the Worksource department due to a technicality and all of us had no where to go for work. Call center work is dead here.

We can drastically improve this number by having millions start becoming self-employed doing whatever they've always wanted to do, whether it's design shoes, force people to skydive, or play a banjo with your foot at a bus terminal.
Wasn't the "stimulus" billed as an instant jolt to the economy? 4.5 months is plenty of time to see that the "stimulus" has failed to be what was advertised.
Obama will do "whatever it takes"? Really? Fine - then cancel the rest of the "stimulus", cut taxes, and adjust withholding ASAP.
Obama promised no more earmarks... and the $800 billion stimulus package turned out to be a giant pork package. Which has done nothing to stimulate the economy, but progressives will argue it would be much worse if we didn't have the stimulus.
No... this recession would already be over if we had cut taxes and stopped borrowing.

Thank God the stimulus plan is creating jobs. If not, unemployment would be 85%.
Only 16%? Obama is very happy, because that is less then he expected.
If Obama hadn't saved 15 million jobs in the last 6 months we would really be in trouble.
