Great tutorial! How many more times can you use the mold ? What kind of paint do you use on the plastic? What kind of rubber did you use to make the mold? I couldn't tell what you said in the video. VERY impressive, thank you for sharing!!
Its the same basics except you would do cast the helmet into two parts, front and back and then put them together afterwards or put them on a hinge and buckles :)
So I was wondering, how much did all that material cost? Can you give me a rough estimate please? Also, what are the exact materials you used? Please tell me, I've been really wanting to start cosplaying with good looking armor.
I ordered about a gallon of liquid plastic and that was good for about a full upper body armor. About $90
And a small quart of rubber cost about 30-40 dollars
I would do some calculations first to minimize cost. If you know any math that can do that [calc or calc 3] that's what I did. If not, find a friend who's good with math
and it's really a guessing game, just make sure your proportions are ok and it should turn out fine. It depends on how big or small your shoulders are. SO keep on holding it up to your shoulders and checking it if it looks good or not.

What were the materials that you had to pour?

Really good info, but I'm slightly confused about how you'd go about adapting this technique for a full helmet. Any advice?

what brand is your clay?

What do you use to color the plastic? Do you (spray) paint it? Or can you add die to it before you cast?

+How did you get the shape of this so perfectly for the shoulder?
+I'm trying to make Zelda shoulder armor pieces and this video helped a lot!!!=^,^=
+But how exactly did you get the surface so perfectly smooth, and how did you inch the detail onto it?

Use water to smooth out the surface of the clay
