Watching the CMAs tonight, I had to get on and find some true country music - one that knows the cowboy way. Country music is the anthem music of the cowboy community and we need more great cowboy singers like Chris Ledeoux and George Straight. Men and women who know how to ride a horse and get their hands dirty.
I saw Chris A few years before he died. He performed at Billy Bob's in Dallas, and he was great! The most energetic performer I've ever seen, and he loved being on stage every moment. He got that whole place (the biggest honkey tonk in the world) going like it was nothing... we were all wild and singing with him..
To click on like this video does not do it justice, WAY BEYOND LIKE, I never got to see Chris before he died but really think he is one of the top performers and a top AMERICAN HERO.
stop thumbs upping ppl who compare stuff to justin bbr. THAT IS GAY. WHY? WHY even bring that name up when listening to something like this? c'mon, dorks.
A personal request. to Somebody......Kindly upload all Chris songs at 4shared library.......been listening to diff. songs for my 45 years but non can top Chris voice....so sorry for me that there is no album of Chris that has been release in my country..... hope that somebody have a time for my request
Im just sad that I am too young to have been around to see this great man in concert. He sang true country music from the heart that has real meaning but at the same time could bring a smile to your face with songs like copenhagan that he sang with toby keith. He is truly one of the last of a dying breed in country music and life in general
@09sseddo I spent time out on his ranch, I will never forget listening to him play acoustic, with friends, and a sky full of stars! I know he is up there now, playing still.
Respond to this video... you. Hell, she slept with him, she could have been having sex, that is a good keeper woman that would lie back and go to sleep. I know that is want you meant, because she is a good woman. Pure as driven snow, virtue that is given only to angels. I would bet that if you could give love a color that represents her, it would be green. Because everywhere you look, the grass is green and so are the trees, and let's not leave out the flowers. Better
@Leffty99 Then let me back my ass up, because it was not suppose to go that way if you or anyone else took it that way. My apologies, well let's keep it on the fun and humorous side. Damn, all I can say is what a true country song,,,, gives me chills every time I hear it, I still even have the cassette tape that i used to listen to all the time in my car. Legendary song, and man
Any body who thinks to compare Baby beiber eater to this LEGAND should be shot. Chris LeDoux was and still is one of the best singer/songwriters/learn-from-life guys out there.
From the horse crap on his boots to the dirt in his spurs and all the way past that prized buckle up to that hat full of dust from many arenas. This Man is a true western man. His music was a plus which people of many genre can connect with.
Chris you are missed and may God give you the best horse, right next to John Wayne
@oldfart2413 You could not have said it any better or more true. When a man straddles 2,500 lbs of snot slinging, jumping, bucking and twisting raw muscle, be that man big or small in stature, he is a true man. I will put Mr. LeDoux next to Johnny Cash, Trace Adkins and Toby Keith insofar as they all worked bulls, oil rigs, or the doors of honky tonks. These places or things separate men from the pack. RIP for those that are gone and GOD bless the rest to carry on.
Chris Ledoux is and always will be a legend in his own time and long after... I am NOT Justin Bieber fan but like all TYPES OF MUSIC NOT TALENT il repspect read between the lines ya'll respect what Chris Ledoux was sayin himself.... put yourself in that motorcycle riders shoes how who you feel.... if that KID Bieber said to you in a song what Chris Ledoux said to the motorcycle rider it would be the same.... we all may be different but were all stuck on this same rock....
@peterlol2 if you call autotune and machinery and computers talent, then maybe, just maybe, beiber might have a shot at being better than Chris, but in a singing challenge one-on-one beiber wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell
@peterlol2 You need to be drug out of your house and executed publicly. Justin beibers voice will chage and than all you will hear is computers if you dont already.
@peterlol2 are you as stupid as you sound?? chris ledoux is more famous then bieber will ever b... this man is a legend... you are pry a city-fried fuck who wouldnt know good music if it raped your mother... chris ledoux's music will be popular long after bieber hits puberty... and it was long before he was born... you dont find music this great out of new artists... and its a crying shame...
One of the last true cowboys. RIP Chris, and thank you for the amazing music you left behind for us to listen to. Wish I could have seen you in concert.
true songs from a real man, he sings songs from his days as a rodeo cowboy. as a rodeo cowboy my self an fromer texas rancher its good to have music i can relate to

my favorite song of all time. A great cowboy, a great singer and a great man. Nothing better than listening to chris ledoux with a dip of copenhagen in.
Justin WHO? Who ever that Justin boy is wasn't even a cum shot in his daddy's eye when Chris LeDoux was out there running the rodeo circuit and turnin out steers.
even though i listin to Metal and Rock N Roll. I grow up with a cowboy for a dad. And he introduced me to Chirs.... Ever since then i have loved all his music. He was one of the best and still is. When i heard he past away i went home and Listiend to him all day.
I can't say how much I appreciate the music that Chris created. It's a melodic reminder of all the things that make a cowboy a cowboy. He'll be sorely missed because there will never be another like him no matter what anyone says. He sang about all the things that a modern cowboy has to endure due to too many people being bigots and assholes. I hope that wherever you are Chris the sun shines on you and there's always a cool stream to settle down beside. God bless Chris Ledoux.
I first heard this riding across a mountian CO park under the pale moonlight with a background of coyotes. Sung by a fellow guide who wasn't worth a damn except for his singing. "Scooter" is how I remember him, under a full moon, ten horses jogging with a full load of elk out of "bear Camp" in the Flattops
Chris Ledoux... To me, an immigrant to this country, Chris Ledoux epitomized the American spirit.
Rugged, Beautiful, modest, good-hearted, bigger than life, kind, adventurous, polymorphic, courageous and gracious.
I still mourn him all these years after his passing. I think America lost a little bit of soul with Chris' passing, but thankfully his music remains to remind us to walk a little bit straighter, to smile a little bit brighter, and to try a little bit harder
This is a Beautifull Song and an Excellent Video , I Grew Up on a 10,000 Acre Cattle Ranch in Ellensburg , ( 60's and 70's ) and the Neighbor Across the Road was None Other Then >>> Larry Mahan.
A Very Close Friend of Chris's.
May Your Trail's Be Dust Free Chris. The Sunshines always. No More Fences to Fix and Cattle to Brand. We'll alway's Hear You Singing when a Blue Norther' Blow's In.
I met him about 1 year before he died, during the SuperBull Tour.... I worked for a production company that filmed the Bull Riding and then filmed Chris' concert afterward..... Its an amazing dvd. It has never been released.... He was always one of my favorite artists. He was a TRUE cowboy....
to menny have forgotin who he was man what a goo man he was i love the song cald cadalack ranch look at you girl and this one may he rid hi in the sky yours trully gardner J Fugate
Hey I'm a stone cold Metallica fan, I'm a metal head. This guy was real and this song has much meaniing. The song just blows my mind. I can't say enough about this.
@mojavesudz yes i like heavy metal like slayer and metallica and such.not a country fan but i do like chris cause he did keep it real and had good songs.he will surely be missed R.I.P chris you were one of the best.
@mojavesudz James Hetfield is also a big time country fan. He was good friends with waylon jennings. In fact, the song "Wasting My Hate" was inspired by a story Jennings once told Hetfield.
Awesome song Chris!!!! Great job! I love your music! You make even us snoots in Pa wanna be country (especially if your a redneck inside a crowd a reglar bunch of stick-in-the-muds!) I don't have much of the southern drawl. heck, if you'd here me talk you'd say i'm one of the stick-in-the-muds. but i only listen to country. and beside carrie underwood and brad paisly you're one of my favorites!
i waslucky enough to c chris 4 times live and the only other concert that ive been to that is close to as good as his was in 2007 when garth came out of retirement and played in kc. love you and miss u chris
@dilauroj94 You can tell I was trashed, I said my hat was "in" my head instead of "on" my head... I don't even remember postin that. I got an e-mail sayin there was a response to my comment on this video, I came to find out what it was talkin about and low and behold...lol Maybe I should quit drinkin. This song always get's my fired up like that
Wyoming misses our Kaycee Cowboy! A God fearing, good hearted family man who loved and lived life to its fullest. Great bronc rider, artist and singer.
RIP Chris LeDoux! God Bless Chris LeDoux AND his wonderful family!
What a BEAUTIFUL Memorial recently put up for Chris in his hometown of Kaycee, Wyoming!

chris sings songs that every cowboy or cowgirl can realte too that has ever chased the circuit around andybobbuuntin you would know yhis if you hadve done it truth of the matter is you probably never seen a horse, rode a bull, or been bulldogging in your life and never will just shut up
my dad says Chris' family is pretty sure he wrote this song about my uncle .... it makes sense if he did ,, they were pretty close.
Wish I still saw my dad ,, then i could go to Wyoming with him on his usual trip to see Chris' family ... Do their annual cattle drive with them ... Maybe in the future if things turn out alright
@BarrelRacingCowgirll That sounds great. I wish I was in the U.S. and visit Chris, but Chris is no more there. He is a great singer and I love this song, it is a great story.
@BarrelRacingCowgirll Do you know his family? Do they life on a ranch? And what is your lifestyle. I life on a small farm, with many animals. But I am sad, I need enough money to buy myself a home in the fields, it is not easy, I think I will end in a city, but I will never do that.
@JohnDoe0329 I dont remember them I was really young when I met them apparently. I just remember stories. Yeah they live on a ranch and from what I heard its beautiful so I'd love to see it some time. Well my whole life I've lived on ranches ,, but im not on the best terms with my dad at the moment so im living in the city with my mom, it sucks being in the city though. And thats cool , a small farm can be really nice (:
@BarrelRacingCowgirll, Thats realy sucks when parents separate. My dream is to live in the US or in Canada, because of the great wildlife there. I am trapper and that is not legal here, so they catched me and now I am a poacher. Maybe I will have money enough to go there and find a job in US or Canada. I had a gf for 6 years, we broke up, so I can working on my dream again.

Thank you, Chris Ledoux

@mojavesudz James Hetfield is also a big time country fan. He was good friends with waylon jennings. In fact, the song "Wasting My Hate" was inspired by a story Jennings once told Hetfield.

I don't have much of the southern drawl. heck, if you'd here me talk you'd say i'm one of the stick-in-the-muds. but i only listen to country. and beside carrie underwood and brad paisly you're one of my favorites!

[= , i love Chris
my dad says Chris' family is pretty sure he wrote this song about my uncle .... it makes sense if he did ,, they were pretty close.

@JohnDoe0329 Yeah Chris is not longer with us , but his family still is and they're very nice people.
This is deffinately a great story . Means a lot to the western world
BarrelRacingCowgirll 1 year ago
@BarrelRacingCowgirll Do you know his family? Do they life on a ranch? And what is your lifestyle. I life on a small farm, with many animals. But I am sad, I need enough money to buy myself a home in the fields, it is not easy, I think I will end in a city, but I will never do that.
JohnDoe0329 1 year ago
@JohnDoe0329 I dont remember them I was really young when I met them apparently. I just remember stories. Yeah they live on a ranch and from what I heard its beautiful so I'd love to see it some time. Well my whole life I've lived on ranches ,, but im not on the best terms with my dad at the moment so im living in the city with my mom, it sucks being in the city though. And thats cool , a small farm can be really nice (:
BarrelRacingCowgirll 1 year ago
@BarrelRacingCowgirll, Thats realy sucks when parents separate. My dream is to live in the US or in Canada, because of the great wildlife there. I am trapper and that is not legal here, so they catched me and now I am a poacher. Maybe I will have money enough to go there and find a job in US or Canada. I had a gf for 6 years, we broke up, so I can working on my dream again.
