I live in Quebec, and I agree that the health care system is terrible for the wealthy. If it looks like you are not in critical injury, you could easily wait 10 hours in the waiting room. About the language thing, most people speak English, and almost all understand English. And First Responders are a joke here, I'm in 11th grade and I can become one just by taking a short course.

I really liked her a lot in the Parent Trap. She had this genuine, sweet warmth that radiated from within, you could just feel it. I'll miss seeing her in future films. She was quite a lovely woman. I hope she is now at peace.

Icey5882001........You are correct with your remark . I apologize for my boldness. I loved Natasha I was just upset that she would risk it all and not wear a helmet. So you believe it wouldn't have mattered if she had worn one? So the trauma would have been the same with or without a helmet?  Then why helmets? A hit directly to the head - the instructor should know this person cant make a choice for him/her self. It's too late for Natasha but some of us can learn from this.

Sad, sad news, but this does hammer home a good message: Wear Helmets. Most look pretty good these days, they keep you warm and most importantly they protect your noggin'. It's a no brainer.

I never wore a helmet when I went skiing.

I first learned how to ski in the Montreal area. I did actually crash on purpose when I was skiing in a way that would

keep me safe. Later, some folks on the slopes taught me how to stop properly.

Of course, it's a good idea to wear a helmet. The instructor should have had her wear one since she was a beginner. Of course, such deaths are not common in the skiing world.

If you knew anything about the medical condition involved you would realize that it was a clot formed by the trauma and extra blood build up in the brain and most cases are treatable when they know... many people die because they don't feel anything is wrong but really they had more damage then they thought which killed her... Another great actor/actress gone! im deeply saddened!

From what I have read she complained of pain in her head before she went to the hospital. I suppose they must have sedated her and then she went into a coma and later died. She would not have suffered much because she would probably have been unconcious for most of the time in the hospital.

here in canada we do have helmet laws but at the end of the day its up to the person as to wearing of the helmet. Having said that as a beginner she should have been wearing one but probably chose not to.
