  • Wow, thanks! Every guitar player on youtube seems to be obsessed with the solo...so it's really nice to see this kind of thing.

  • nice 1 m8 this is better than all the tabs i have seen this is a master class!!!

  • Oh man, man, man! Thank you soooo much! This is one very nostalgic song for a lot of us who grew up in the early 70's and thanks too to the age of sharing, we can all have a chance to learn this stuff. You did a wonderful with this. I am half Scot m'self! Thanks! Peaceoutbro!

  • merci, excellent,très bien expliqué, pourrais tu nous montrer BRAIN DAMAGE de PINK FLOYD , et d'autres à eux?

  • It worked for me, thx Braveheart

  • Oh.... A thanks for an amazing few tips matey. You play great too.

  • Thank you so much for this video!!!

  • Great video clip. Up and playing this in a short time.

  • I FUCKING LOVE YOUR ACCENT!!!

  • Cheater Dmaj7: instead of the PITA barre on the 5th fret, just bar the first 3 strings on the second fret, easy as pie and a quick transition to the Emaj7, sounds almost identical.

  • Scoby1kn-obi has been captured by the dark side (of the moon) :P

  • hi,just saw your video for a learner like me it is brilliant i will look for more of your videos to help me learn more many thanks

  • u gotta b irish or australlian. well im amaerican but wat watevr u r, top of the mornin to mate, pipip cheereoo.

  • @GunJockey1 Really? Because my understanding was that Americans knew how to actually spell America.

  • @lscottevansl i just now saw i misspelled that. its a keyboard, not paper, i dont usually make spelling errors. i guess computer apps didnt teach me anything last year... :/

  • Great video!! Thanks for sharing:)

    Grandma Mary

  • "...there is no dark side of the moon really... in a matter of fact it's all a doubt..."

  • Great lesson, but us Americans sometime have hard time understanding English

  • Well chuffed with that! Thank you!

  • from a scott to a scot, good lesson!! cheers

  • As a Scot you missed a trick. I'd have thought you would have belted out "Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way" and as an Englishman i can only describe my guitar playing as desperation.

    Ta for the vid.

  • I just uploaded a vid of my own for this same song. I like yours better! Especially the DM7 for the bridge. I've been playing that part wrong. Thanks for the lesson!

  • Gnarly Accent!

  • @SaladToppings Scottish and proud

  • good tutorial, keep up the good work

  • great lesson

  • Hey scoby1knoby,

I'd like to hear you answer the question: Is there REALLY a dark side of the moon?

  • @bcubed72 There is always a dark side of the moon

  • @scoby1knoby if you listen to eclipse, the last words of the song are , and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon. and then in a soft spoken voice it says, there is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact, it's all dark.

  • @scoby1knoby

There is no Dark Side of The Moon actually...........In Fact it's all dark.

  • @scoby1knoby .....as a matter of fact its ALLLLL dahk!

  • @bcubed72

there is a dark side of you butthole

  • @bcubed72

There is no dark side of the moon, really. As a matter of fact its all dark.

  • @bcubed72 there is no dark side of the moon, as a matter of fact, its all dark

    ;)

  • This Lesson Deserves A Fackin F Facker.

  • Why are there any other any vowels than "A" in Scottland ? "Slade that bar chard up yer arse Wallace!"

  • So in Scottland, what is the difference between A and E? And why all of a sudden are Brazilians hangin' out in Scottland playin' Pink Floyd?

  • You are the man!!! This is an excellent little lesson! Thanks very much!

  • very usefull my friend. Congratulations from Rosario, Argentina.

    Dante

  • really enjoyed that will give that a go thanks.

  • You keep saying E when you are playing A. But sometimes it really is E.

  • @dwilliss No, I'm saying 'A'. I can't help that I speak properly!! lol

  • @dwilliss stop teachin a scottish man english u fkin douche bag american .. probably u may be thinkin scottish is somewhere near iraq LMFAO..

  • @dwilliss No, he isn't. It's just a thick Scottish accent..!

  • i used to live in glasgow and have family in eastkilbride n out thata way ..theres a slight diffrence in the accent just like new jersey vs. new york accents lol

  • @scoby1knoby lol french....

  • This is brilliant!! Simple, but very efffective! . . .Thanks very much for sharing, mate

    Take care,

    John

  • 0:15 he saying e or a?

  • its an A

  • Nice! Very helpful

  • Damn it I really wish I learned my chords. I guess I play too much metal, and read too many tabs =/

  • simple but nice tnks dude 5 stars sounds great

  • Great lesson man, really helped alot to learn one of my favorite pink floyd songs

  • thank you for you lessons

  • Great lesson!

  • show the strumming technique too

  • Sorry but the strumming comes pretty natural to me and can't explain it. Anyway, most people should be able to do that bit pretty much on their own - everyone has a different way to it.

  • That's what I call a lesson ACE DUDE.,.

  • Very good lesson. Post more please.

  • i got the chords i just cant get that strum down

  • Great simple version , good clean instruction two, ;;;;;;thankx mate :)

  • there is an easier way to play it

  • Are you tone deaf?!

  • Yes they probably are. hehehe

  • Are you rude deaf? He said a very simplified version of a Pink Floyd song..He has given a lot of info for folks that are looking for just that, if you are that good perhaps you could enlighten the rest of us with your version? Not just your insults...I think he does great and I have learned a lot from him..keep it up my Irish friend

  • I realise you thought I was talking to the video creator, but I wasn't. I wasn't talking to somebody on the previous page who said this wasn't how to play it, I was saying it clearly is.

And also this very talented guitar player is clearly not Irish, he's Scottish.

  • i think that walk down to the E at the end of the verse is G-F#-E , not F#-F-E....thanks tho...

  • Lot easier to drop your pinky down from the A and skip that one chord altogether

  • cheers mate great lesson

  • Cool lesson, just what I was looking for.

  • Nice.

  • very nice lessen could you please do shine on your crzy diamond

  • tried a few other guys with this but they tend to show ff too much and ruin the lesson.you my friend are spot on,thanks for your time....apostle

  • Dude whats the strumming pattern??.... U dont say that...

  • b/c hes playing it in front of you, same with tab hes literally playing the tab for you, open your eyes and ears everyone. This is a nice video i like it. Cheers.

  • These are excellent lessons.

    Cheers mate.

  • Thanks for the quick lesson, bud! It was great but it's hard to understand you sometimes with that thick spanish accent. Ha...JK. I love to hear Scots talk. The coolest, most expressive and interesting accent. Anyway, thanks from Noo Yawk! Let's have some caaawfee sometime!

  • No Problem, see you next time I'm in New York.

  • Do you have a tab of this you could post or send to me please...please?

  • Sorry - It's all in my head. Don't really have the time or inclination to write it down. Just go through it slowly and wrie it out for yourself.

  • I did...now I got it. Thanks for the lesson.

  • I really enjoyed strumming along :) plus now I know another Pink Floyd song I can play acoustic. thanks man. Cheers from Romania.

  • Excellent and easy version. Could you do shine on your crazy diamond? Thanks!

  • I'll definitely put that in my sporum thank you

thank you so much,i will be working on this

    wayno800

  • I like the way you teach...simple, to the point...and gets it done. Thanks

  • Great lesson. At first thought that with your accent you were saying E instaed of A but once it figured it out it was spot on. Cheers from Canada.

  • THANK YOU sir

  • Love your dialekt <3 Awesome lesson

  • Excellent video! Now I can play the rhythm part of 'Time' without getting all confused with finger position and stuff =) Cheers!

  • Nice, very nice version, thanks a lot, may I ask what is your guitar, i juste love the sound of it!!!! Now i will try it out!!!

    Thanks very mutch!!!

  • Thanks, My Guitar is a Taylor 814ce (2002)

  • Awsome sound, i came back to make it listen to my son!!! He as Simon and Patrick Mahogany Spruce, it's very good but far from that sound!!!!

  • Thanks again, guy.

There is another people that explain so much complicate, but with you is easier.

Incluso a los que tenemos muy poca idea de ingles.

  • THanks man great leasson

  • you should join this song up with breath it would sound awesome but cheers for the lesson got it in 1 ta

  • Yeah, I do if I'm playing, it but for the purposes of the video it was easier to it this way. Cheers. Glad you enjoyed it.!

  • good lesson, but after you play the A it then goes to an Asus4 chord, and not the chord that you played. dont mean to pick bones but im abit of a perfectionist when it comes to pink floyd

  • Just a slightly more interesting version of the same chord. Makes playing it on the accoustic sound a bit fuller.

  • great!

  • Nice lesson ! Good to have you back.More please. Cheers mate.
