This song´s name is La Peregrinación and it´s a song from La Misa Criolla album.

It´s a wonderfull masterpiece which Ariel Ramirez composed based in our country folk music.

There are many versions of it, including that with Mercedes Sosa...

Amazing, thrilling and wonderfull music with beautifull lyrics.

Yes, Stranniki means Strangers in Russian. do you know why every person, who grew up in Soviet Union knows this melody? It's because of a very popular TV Show "V mire zhivotnyh" meaning "In the animals' world". Each broadcast would begin with very nice STENCIL animation with this piece of music. @gentlerhino Thank you for your kind attention! I have with pleasure watched the animation video . It isn't easy to hear it's the famous Ramirez song when I play it, because I play it without the very important rythm. I didn't know it was the same song when I recorded the russian arrangement.

Sadly, Mr Ramirez passed away today in Argentina. I was searching for music to remember his legacy and I found your video.

La peregrinacion betyr "pilgrimsreisen". Det hører til et større stykke av Ramirez som kalles Misa Creollo, (kreolsk messe)og er en samling "religiøse sanger". Fikk tilsendt en plate fra Sør Amerika til jul for flere år siden. Sangene skildrer Jesu fødsel, pilgrimenes vandring o.s.v. Vakker musikk.

Takk for kommentar. Jeg følte at det var noe kjent med tonene da jeg spillte dette arrangementet, og tippet det kunne være fra ett av verkene til Ramirez. Jeg har selv en gammel LP med hans korverk og også en nyere innspilling på CD. Jeg har i ettertid til denne lyttet og funnet at La Peregrinacion (The Pilgrimage) er 2. sats i Ariel Ramirez: Navidad Nuestra .Meget vakker kormusikk!!
