  • The Selecter featuring Pauline Black & Arthur Gaps Hendrickson are back

    Sat 23 July - O2 Academy, London

  • Who would dislike this ? Don't watch it, if you don't like it. Spoiled humans. We don't all need to see your opinion. If you like it you do. Cool. Share your story or appreciation. If you don't, fine. Don't comment and get lost. But if it's some racist ignorant stuff. Comment and trash it all you like. Sorry. I'm all for respecting opinions and all that .... but the fact is that racist comments and insensitive hatebloggers need to be checked. That's the way it is. Long live the 2-Tone era.

  • I cannot wait to see The Selecter alongside Ska Cubano live on the 15th January in London!!

  • They kill here! Soooo much energy. Yay!

  • shes the most sexyis bird in the world lol belive

  • i want your furrburger...in and around my mouth....

  • "With the working-age population in Europe widely expected to contract from 2010, immigration will become "increasingly necessary", according to the European Commission (EC)"

  • What the fuck has this got to do with The Selector ? I've seen them twice in Gloucester at The Guild Hall where they reportedly played their first ever gig. Proper and original Ska fans where skinheads and other admirers. It's a real shame that the skinhead movement was hijacked by the racist bigots. I'm as proud and passionate about my country as the next man but I refuse to have idiots shame my flag.

God Save The Queen and God save free England.

  • Our birth rate has decreased gradualy over the last 100 years and advances in medecine mean the elderly are living for much longer-at great expense. We are now getting to the stage where the working generation won't be able to support the old generation. The only viable solution so far has been to increase immigration to support the older generation.

  • Ladies, ladies , ladies, why are you all arguing about immigrants and the BNP? Why not just focus on what we all have in common- we're all human, we all like The Selecter and are glad that we were born without being American.

    Now let's get on.

  • wish i was born without being american :(

  • @skawesome you can change that..get married...emigrate...travel...see places...teach English...steal monies for your luncheon...maybe the Foreign Legion...they'll give you a new name but you'll end up with a dreadful haircut (maybe not a good idea in retrospect)

  • good point ;)

a bit blunt though dont you think :P

  • Nowt changes does it? When The Selecter were out first up, it was part of the two tone movement yet the NF would pay to turn up. Now we've got BNP posters on a Selecter website. Real Ska heads / Scooter Boys / Skins etc will happily batter these sad little 'hide behind a mouse' cowards if they get in our faces for real (assuming mummy lets them out). Turn up to a Selecter do by all means but bring your dinner cos you'll need it! Merry Christmas. x

  • Well, BNP leader Nick Griffin, went to university. Therefore so much for an education! I have no time for racist bigots, so I will stop wasting it on you!

  • Piss off, you BNP/NF/BM loving t**ts! Typical sad and racist cyber warriors. Go back to w***ing over Rudolph Hess, you idiots!

  • Amazing!

    OI OI!

  • it was kinda cool i heard this song at work (an upscale department store) hahaha

  • What a great song, I can see why people overrated The Selecter but this is a quality song

  • I remember seeing these at tiffanys in great yarmouth when I was still at school. On the same night were Dexy's midnight runners and The Specials. Brilliant night until I threw up all over my brand new two tone suit, still, happy days.

  • I was at that one to in fact I saw selector and the specials twice at tiffs, once they were supported by the body snatchers but both times f--king brilliant nites I see your a Yarco ha ha! how is Yarmouth?

  • Still run down and filthy, but now full of immigrants. ;0(

  • What's a racist bigot like you doing listening to 2-Tone music???

  • that so called ``racist bigot`` you refer to is just pissed off with his town and country being over run with imigrants like the rest of us. he's not a racist he's an economist who is passionate about being english and not some woolly liberal multicultural twat!

  • "Woolly liberal multicultural twat?" Oh dear. Well, I'm afraid my mother was the daughter of immigrants (Irish) and my father was an asylum-seeker (Austrian), so I guess I must be an undesirable. Oh, and they were both Jewish. Bring on the National Front...

  • but your argument is'nt contextual with today.

imigration was economically sustainable during the C18th particularly with the potatoe famine.

but in a modern country like ours today we don't need immigration it serves very little purpose apart from putting english companies and people out of work.

the argument that immigrants do the work that the english won't do is simple. englishman on the dole - offer him a job- if he does'nt take it- stop the benifits. they'll soon go to work then.

  • Get back in your kennel!

  • Hmmm! what an educated response.

  • that so called ``racist bigot`` you refer to is just pissed off with his town and country being over run with imigrants like the rest of us. he's not a racist he's an economist who is passionate about being english and not some woolly liberal multicultural twat!

  • SKA SKA SKA SKA SKA SKA

  • How could anyone not love that song?

  • man i over played this record...wooo

  • the drum part for this song is god-like

  • I had the good fortune to meet Pauline when I was only 14 in 1980 and even thoe it was a long while ago I can still remember that she was a dead nice person who had the time to speak to 1 of her fans and this song is bloody excellent I love it!

  • Seen selector 3 times and Pauline was a great singer 2 the music is as relevent now as it was in the early 80s. We are living in real gangster land.

  • big up rude girl

  • Pauline was the best singers of the 2Tone groups. I sure miss all of them though. I can't belive it was so long ago.

  • I love this band...

  • brilliant

  • Such happy music for such a sad song...
