I actually think the easiest way to access BBC iPlayer, Hulu, etc. outside of the UK is to actually use a VPN (virtual private network). Quick, easy and painless. :)
I use VPN Authority . IMO, it's good because it's cheap, fast, reliable and doesn't require this MASSIVE headache to setup (a la above). :)
Not really sure what your method was? Use words or text? ----- ----- is a cool thing and ------- has some interesting lists of proxies by country. Just sayin' Guess the blanks. You will have to figure it out like I did
