You can use a character you create in all of the campaigns, but you must own those campaigns as well, of course. Choosing a campaign during character creation merely determines your appearance and your starting location\quest.

@coolgames14 I run on win7 normally im saying i have both on my system, things that are optimized to run on winxp i run on winxp like guild wars, it will work on win7, in fact it will work well, but if you have the exact same stats on 2 different machines one running xp and one running win7, winxp will come out on top because gw is optimized to run on winxp, and we need to stop clogging this video with a meaningless argument, from this point on I won't respond, sorry Flamefoxez

What campaign is the best for beginners? I have just recieved my Guild Wars: Complete Collection through the mail and have all of them. So which is best for a newcomer?

@renrawr Well, it depends what you are looking for. It is important to note that choosing earlier campaigns restrict the classes available from the newer campaigns. So if you choose Prophecies, you won't have access to the four classes released in the later campaigns, whereas if you choose Nightfall, you have access to all classes. However it is also important to remember the themes of each area, which is quite important. Prophecies is fantasy, Factions is asian, Nightfall is African.

Ive played guild wars, wow, warhammer, and aion and wow is by far the best with warhammer not being to bad if you dont like wow but guild wars doesnt compare to those two and aion is another fun for 5 mins game from NCsoft not worth it im not saying theres anything wrong with guild wars its still a god game but wow and warhammer are more enjoyable and avoid aion its deemed to die out

Ive played all of those too, and Age of Conan. Warhammer was OK, but not great. Age of Conan was awesome to start, but extremely lacked content after a short amount of time. Aion was very promising but unfortunaelyu fell short, it was far too grindy, and WoW is the top MMO currently, and will be for a while. Well, at least until Blizzard releases their next MMO.

There is still quite a large userbase, but not any amount compared to WoW, or Aion for that matter. Still, if you have $20 to kill, buy it, because you have nothing else to lose xD

Or you could wait for Guild Wars 2, planned to be released some time next year.

Ok, Nightfall, Prohecies and Factions are all CAMPAIGNS. This means they are completely different words, all run by the same Guild Wars gameplay. Eye of the North (Not truth), is an Expansion pack, which takes you back to the land of Tyria (The land in which Prophecies is based in) to do more quests, and loads for features are avaliable. And yes, this game is completely online :)

Ultragenot, even though you only have 8 spells at your disposal, you can easily customise it within seconds to fit ALL situations.

Peanut, Guild Wars can be downloaded off the website, it takes around 30 mins-1 hour to download. During gameplay when you approach a new area, it will then download that area. This is a smart and innovative way to download your game while you play.

Also, you do not need all the expansions, but I suggest to buy the Prophecies campaign for beginners.
