@solehah To secure the rose onto a design, dress, jersey etc. use a matching thread and tiny stitches along the base of the roses ,working inbetween the petals if necessary. Enjoy :))
This is an excellent, clear and concise tutorial, and I've found it incredibly useful. Craft shops charge anything up to 40p per ribbon rose, and it's lovely to be able to make them yourself far cheaper.
Having tried both satin and organza ribbon, the satin is far easier to fold and sew. Thankyou so much for this!
so gorgeous! you explain it incredibly clearly, every time i thought of a little question you were already beginning to answer it in the voice over, I can't wait to make these!
We work with 1 metre or 1 yard lengths. A full metre or yard will make a nice large rose. For smaller roses and rosebuds, use a shorter length of ribbon.
I am sitting in front of the computer in Switzerland and it is one in the morning. I was looking for this for a long time. Your video is the BEST! Baie dankie!! PS: it was also soo nice to hear your SA accent.
thank you for the tutorial...her voice is amazing, it reminds me of the voice on one of my children's audiobooks telling the tale of sleeping beauty.

Very clear tutorial. Can you give an indication of the amount of yards of ribbon to use for this rose?
