@liverpool19713 You should try putting it around music or the TV and generally give it lots of attention. They also love to eat avocado and respond greatly to it.

@liverpool19713 I have a blue fronted amazon, and I've found that just repeating things over and over to her again works. Also - use food as a reward when your parrot starts to learn the words. That's worked with me at least. Good luck!

Ah, reminds me of Coco, he was a bluefronted amazon too, lost him two years ago. I've had a lot of pets in my life, cats, dogs, everything, but no loss has been bigger than Coco. He'd make the same groaning sounds as yours at 0:42 and up. He/she is just adorable and seems very happy :-)

My blue front tried to fly to this bird when it started talking he tried to hover but just had to set it down in front of the tv. He gets so much more excited when he sees a blue front than other parrots. I wonder if this is true for other birds.

I have an Amazon who is 10+ years old. I've had him a few months, and he's never spoken. His former owners kept him in a bow under a table. I play videos for him hopefully to teach and entertain him. He saw this video two days ago, really reacted to it, and today he is starting to make noises. He climbs up on the keyboard and talks to Steven. @0chenz0 My sister use to have a Blue Front and only she could touch it, if you went near her when he was out of his cage he would attack you. I can remember how many times I would be at the table eating dinner with her and the next thing you know you would have a bird attacking you for getting to close to her... I tried for years to be friends with that bird and never got anywhere with him

Start by NOT making the bird do anything he does not want to.Talk to him/her and never go into the birds cage.I have a Blue Front myself and he loves both my wife and me.Let me know if I can help anymore.
