I find the view is good from there, i wouldn't want to sit any closer. The couch's are about 12 feet away from the tv, but you can put them where ever you want.
Tell me what is it called that interior things on the wall like a hole so tv in and the rest like dvd player and media inside a box? how much does it to fix that to my wall? If you know?

I like it better behind the couch because it's hidden there, it looks bad having a big sub infront of the tv. I don't notice a difference in sound with it behind the couch.It still sounds good even a little better with the bass right behind you.
