Horrible, just horrible. I grew up watching Dr. Snuggles but I wouldn't let my children watch this. The over all look of this is mismatched, too colorful and for some reason really creepy.

I agree with previous comments: It looks like it was thrown together in MS Paint and with the thought that it's for children so it has to be made super colorful and flat. Children are not stupid - they're perhaps the most observant audience.

I have to correct myself, this is just aweful. Even kids of today wouldn't dare watching this piece of uninspired crap. This is a perfect example of a remake destroying the credibility of the original version. I pray to heavens that this re-boot won't make it out ...ever. Amen.

As much as I love Snuggles and wish there were more adventures for him, this is..I don't know. The guy voicing Snuggles sounds like a good successor for the legendary Ustinov, but he maybe overacting a little. Overll, everything seems too fastpaced when compared to the dreamy psychedelic style of the original.

I do have to wonder whether some of the people making disparaging comparisons between this and the original are part of the likely target audience (ie. children). The original Dr. Snuggles is one of the best animated series ever, absolutely. But don't give Mr. O'Kelly such a hard time about this new incarnation. What did you expect? If you're so bound to the original version, just watch that & appreciate it.

However, since the "Snuggles" machine seems to be running again it would be great to see them finally put together a DVD release of the original series (that isn't $79 a pop)!

However I have to agree with the tenor of some other posts that it would have been even better to keep the Doctor closer to the original (this Anime eyes thing e.g. is rather backfiring, and he overall looks a bit "rough"). What's with the 'enhancing'? The thing that makes the real Doctor Snuggles so wonderful is its childlike innocence. This new version is supposed to be enhanced, but is it better? How could anyone digest a bombardment of images, colors and sounds at that pace? Maybe the old version doesn't sink in with a younger audience (or networks don't try) because kids have been brought up with 'cartoons on steroids.' That's just sad. Thankfully there are alternatives on DVD.

Great they brought this cartoon back. But its definitely not as good as the original. Especially the animation from the first installation, the drawings were much more detailed. I can't even connect with the voice, Peter Ustinov will always be Snuggle's period. But I don't think even his Snuggles would call the Dreamy Boom Boom an "infernal contraption".

A bit strange...Dr Snuggles nemesis seemed a lot more manic than I remember him. I always thought he and doctor snuggls enjoyed a somewhat Professer X/Magneto type of relationship. With the Dr snuggles version being a bit more bad tempered. Also, Dr Snuggles seems to be a bit more...wimpy, than of old. I dunno, my memories bad, and I'm not used to change either! I do applaud any efforts to bring Dr Snuggles back however.

Hi Dibrini, Syndicating throughout the US and Canada from 1980 to 86, with phenominal ratings of 5&6 . Dr S made TV history for first time shows  beating Bugs Bunny, Popeye, Woodywood Pecker, It was sheer Magic I am happy that I held out to create our own vision of the series . Astounding it holds up well today. We played on Nickolodeon from 1987 . Snuggles hasnt gone to sleep, He is on DVD He is inventing new incredible things Prepare to be Snugglised all over again.

I remember snuggles i am 24 me and my cousins grew up on this every weekend over and over each episode. However snuggles and the great hot air balloon rave were our utmost favourite. i had it on vhs tape but sadly its lost now i have my own family :)
