  • I can tell that your'e used to going higher by the way you reach a certain point and then explode up.

  • Don't title your video "Power Squat" when you are doing less than eight wheels and don't even go down all the way. Power to you is still shit to every one else

  • lmao .... Full squat blah blah, no one cares if you full squat or half squats....it matters how big your legs look in the end and how much you look like you can squat. I keep laughing at these kids who full squat with 225 and they think they are so badassss. I half squat 425x5 and my legs look much thicker and bigger then all these ATG douche bags.

  • Not everyone trains to be big

  • Decent squat, the bar did look a lil high but one thing about it I deff did not like is how the bar is taken off the rack, get both feet under the bar like you're squatting it to unrack it.... Overall tho it's a nice looking squat... Gave u a thumbs up.

  • This is a fully squat, honestly. At least ,it is below parallel, and it would pass in pretty much every powerlifting federation in the world.

  • do some deadlifts to get more strength in the lower back and work on your flexibility. And the balance in your legs isn't how it's supposed to be. I'm not saying my squat technique is better, but I'm suffering from a "jumpers knee" now because of the buckling knees. So take this as an advice.

  • hi may i ask your permission if it is ok i will download one of your video on power squat for my report in my college? thanks.

  • you need to read STARTING STRENGTH by Mark Rippetoe.

  • BTW that squat did NO good what so ever! You only went half way down but not only that your knees went over your ankles which defeats the purpose. DONT let your knees go over your ankles then your just using your back not your quads. It doesnt help gain muscle and you can seriously hurt yourself. Just imagine there is a chair behind your and lean straight back dont lean foward.

  • when i squat i sit on the damn ground, rollover, standup... all wit 1000lbs eat that youtube hardasses

  • lol jks

  • so many haters.........SMH -_-

  • that was just one rep. i was expecting to see more than one rep.

  • Not bad, looked almost parallel definitely no a quarter squat lol.

  • one thing ....a little bit of an arch to your back but good job otherwise.

  • That was plenty deep enough,, But again if U place bar lower U'll B surprised at how much more U can squat but don't know it,, High bar squats R a bitch,, too much lower back and kill all your strength,,U'll have to learn how 2 keep the bar stable from sliding down but U'll squat bigger weight immediately,, trust me bro U'll B shock at your strength and balance and ease.. Then U'll hit the bigger numbers and have more fun doing squats and get strong as hell.

  • That was horrible form. You need to squat back first, pull your elbows forward and drive with your knees last. Check out some of westside barbell's stuff.

  • you go wide stance/high bar which sort of confuses me

  • I'd say thats a good squat, you broke parallel. Good job!

  • Try holding the bar about 2 to 6 inches lower... it should be below your delts for a power squat. *Increases your back's leverage* :)

  • that was parallel a legit powerlifting squat

  • True...I'd say the squat was full. Squats "from the bucket" are beyond 100%. Good job.

  • That's not a full squat. It's a half squat. I can now full squat this 295# easily for a set of 5. A full squat is when the hams and cavs are compressed (not just a touch but compression).

  • That would be an Olympic squat, not a power squat. There's a difference.

  • Dude those squats are fine you don't have to squat right to the ground i know people with the biggest legs who never squat deep...mr olympia ronnie coleman never squats right down but he has some of the biggest legs in body building...

  • @m1kekim not in competition. a legit back squat is when the hip breaks parallel. having your hams touch your calves on a max effort is the best way to jack up your knee.

  • @m1kekim A full squat is parallel. That's what it is in every meet. Most people aren't flexible enough to even do a true ass to grass squat.

  • @m1kekim youre not suppose to go that deep in a power squat all you have to go is parallel but in an Olympic squat thats a whole other story

  • @iProVoK3D for some reason folks dont understand that. They're always quick to say u did it wrong. There r two kinds of squats, for power n for definition of the quad

  • @m1kekim youre retarded

  • @m1kekim No. You just described a deep squat. A squat is to parallel with the ground. A half squat is to a 90 degree bend in the knees. No one cares about what you do. The video is legit.

  • @m1kekim ahah what? First ''I usually do 5x5s at this weight'' is not true. We can clearly see from that video that you are grinding the weight. You couldn't have done 1 set of 5 reps at that weight, even less 5 sets. Maybe now, but not when the video was filmed. Second, it was not a half squat, at worst, it was merely an inch higher than a true parallel. It was more parallel than anything else. Nowadays, keep up the good work.

  • No. It's 295. I'd say this squat was somewhere between a quarter squat and a half squat (more towards the half). I've done half squat triples at 385 when I was 207+lbs. The most I've triple full squatted with a pause is about 295x3. Full squats are tighs to cavs. Ass to ankles.

  • Isnt that 385lbs, not 295lbs? you went deeper than 99% of people who squat.
