It might be easier for small-minded people (JonThm etc) to regard this phenomena as Climate Change (as opposed to Global Warming). Somewhat paradoxically, cooling, many believe will be one of many symptoms of 'Global Warming'. I could recommend a stack of literature to educate the ignorant-though think a movie like 'Day after Tomorrow' would be more accessible to such folk.
