  • Actually, Joe Louis, who knew more about Walcott than you do, said Walcott reached his prime in his late 30s. It's generally old for a fighter, but not always. Heck, Bernard Hopkins is 10 years older and a few weight classes heavier and still competitive.

Walcott fought a Hell of a fight, and was winning. One punch changed the fight, but, Walcott was the better fighter at that point. Marciano improved a lot after the fight, but on this night, Walcott was better, except for one punch.

  • @TA152H01 Joe Louis, who knew more about Walcott than you do ! Oh you so insulting lol. So whats your point what Bernard Hopkins is still fighting so fucking what and Geoge Foreman won the heavyweight championship in past his prime.Different strokes for different folks smart ass.Tell me something I don't know.

  • @PREZ150 You obviously didn't know that Walcott was in his prime this fight, did you? It wasn't intended to be insulting, but I guess some people have fragile egos.

Foreman was taking a beating his fight, and got a lucky shot. He looked old and slow.

Walcott was still an excellent fighter, and not past his prime or old as you comment on. Joe Louis thought so, and he fought him twice. You know better? Too funny.

  • @TA152H01 Oh yes I did.Fragile egos you wish.Next time listen to your self. And thats your opinion so flatter your self.Walcott was too old for Marciano. But oh you was there you know better yea right.

  • @PREZ150 I think you missed the point, but, that's not surprising.

    Fact : Fighters age differently.

Fact: Walcott was winning a fight against an undefeated HW, and got knocked out by one punch.

Fact: Joe Louis fought Walcott twice.

Fact: Joe Louis said Walcott reached his prime in his late 30s.

None of those have anything to do with me, and they aren't debatable. It's not about me. You're making it about you.

By your lack of logic, Moorer was too old for Foreman. Think about it.

  • @TA152H01 You wrote all that .Now tell me something I don't know duh !

  • @PREZ150 Apply all that. Your whole video simply states common opinion.

An old fighter looks like Ray Leonard against Norris, Ali against Holmes, Hagler against Leonard, etc...

They can't land punches, they get tired easily, their timing is bad, etc...

Beating an undefeated fighter with over 40 wins, arguably the best trained the division has seen, taking him into the 12th, and winning said round, and then getting knocked out by one punch isn't indicative of an age problem.

  • @TA152H01 You wrote all this you not telling me anything new.

  • @PREZ150 Dont you think Rocky marciano should have disqualified?

  • @324582782 Disqualified for what ?

  • @PREZ150 He was on his knee after the first punch. Roy jones jr was disqualified for the same reason but why not Marciano?

  • @324582782 Erm... maybe because this was in the 1950's? Rules were different then. Look at Rocky's eye. Why wasn't the fight stopped? Hm? Hmmm? It would be NOWADAYS. Even UFC fights are stopped if an eye is swolen SHUT.

  • @dae26boy your right

  • @dae26boy Well thank God it was different back then or we'd have missed the best one punch knockout ANYtime, ANYplace!

    ;-)

  • @PREZ150 u didnt answer me

  • @324582782 It's up to the ref.

  • @PREZ150 yes referee decides it but do you think he did right thing by not disqualifying him?

  • @324582782 I didn't see the fight so I can't comment on it.

  • @PREZ150 lol okayyy.....

  • @324582782 Your crazy man, he was out cold anyway after the first punch, makes no difference he was sleeping & didnt even feel the second 'slap' anyway.

  • @shotgunshawzy This is debatable, I was talking about boxing rules:-)

  • Jersey Joe was the Champion past his prime or not.

  • Good analysis!

  • Jersey Joe was not past his prime. He was the champion, which means that in his supposed prime, he lost more fights and wasn't the champion. Jersey Joe was a master boxer, and like all real masters, they do improve with age.

  • All true, Prez, photo confirms the power, but there's no telling if Walcott might've recovered but for the illegal left w/Walcott down, sending his head back, hard, in the opposite direction. Seems crazy to anyone who's seen a shot of Joe's face getting his caved in, but many KOs'd look this severe if the photo's timed as perfectly. Let's give that 2nd shot, (that joe REALLY "never saw coming"), -some- credit :-)

  • WTF PAST PRIME!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG LEARN THE SPORT OF BOXING!!! JERSEY JOE WAS in HIS PRIME AT THAT MOMENT! Holyshit! Do u Need bigger Glasse for realise ???????

  • @sugarfrankjr YOU LEARN BOXING. 37 IS OLD FOR BOXING. What dummy you are.

  • If he was 36 And Blocked the punch > he might of made it ...LOL..Your full of shit MAN, The BROTHER Got Knocked The Fuck -OUT - Fair And Square > im BLACK He Aint > So What.

    Give Credit Man.

    He A Fighter.

  • I did give Rocky credit for beating past there prime fighter's.

  • lol man even Tyson wouldn't of taken that punch!

  • youre right great power. ever check out earnie shaver? great power 2. n grit.

  • Could not agree with u more prez150 rocky just knew how to beat his opponent everytime one way or the other.

  • After that beating Jersey Joe gave Marciano in the previous round, Marciano came back and got jersey Joe. That is what I call persistence and dedication. I am a Marciano fan. He showed us to never give up and keep going.

  • Hey Marciano had to do what had to do with a past his prime 37 year old Jersey Joe.

  • Aww well, Joe W. had his left guard up for the whole match up to that point, most people say Marciano was just the perfect slugger, but in reality his trainer held him to a strategy that made him focus down his hits. The match really shows the faith Marciano's trainer had in him.

  • Ahhh ! You are right the Rocky had a good trainer I think it was Al Weill.
