  • incredible!!

  • This is Kenny Rogers? OMG!

    BJ sounds great!

  • Lindo!

  • I have always enjoyed the backing of this and other BJ Thomas songs. Kenny Rogers is a sublime harmoniser in popular music. Unbeatable pleasure.

  • OMG!! GREAT SONG!!! never seen kenny with dark hair before....he looks great, and got better with age...

  • I have almost forgotten what they looked like at that age.. both such handsome men ... But I love Kenny it his older salt and pepper years more... Thanks for posting ..

  • muito bom !

  • BJ Thomas duet with Arn Anderson.

  • I am just wondering what year this was? They are really young in this.. But wonderful as always....

  • @deb11357 most likely 1969/Kenny Rogers was with the1st edition at that time. I saw them at the Minnesota State Fair in the fall of 1970

  • Wow! Kenny once had brown hair..

  • Can't get any better !!!!!!!!

  • WOW! Hit like if you just can't stop smiling watching this...I LOVE IT~!!!! <3 XX

  • I saw BJ on Letterman just last week, and I went to Kenny Roger's concert three months ago. Both were awesome. They've been awesome for fifty years!

  • I have always loved bj and seen him several times in concert, there is something that just is very sexy about him and that voice it unmistakable.

  • B J is soooo gorgeous! Has the most dreamy eyes. WOW!!!!

  • Both have enriched my life many times.

  • hes not like todays stars who cant sing live and rely on tracks

  • SImply beautiful. These men are truly gifted with such handsome voices ! A real treat !

  • BJ. era muito lindo, demais.

  • just look at kenny here to how he is now blimey great video

  • They both are good singers. Not like I can do better. :D

  • It was great to see them both performing in concert, with Dave and Sugar as their opening act

  • wtf, i thought that was gerry rafferty with BJ, lol

  • B.J. THOMAS SONGS GREAT........

  • Elvis knew why he coverd that great song....

  • @elpresley, but BJ performs it better, isn't?

  • B J Thomas and Kenny Rogers ! There's notihng better than listening to both of them singing in duo ! It's really fantastic !

  • Are you sure that wasnt Jerry Reed and John Denver?

  • I think BJ is just about the the sweetest thing I have ever seen. His voice is so special. He has been under-rated for years. He should still be right up there at the top !!

  • Cool as Hell !!!!!!!!

  • Two of the greatest ... Fantastic

  • BJ has beautiful eyes. A handsome man!

  • not bad not bad at all

  • This is so cool. Two great voices. What a blend!

  • A great song-done by 2 great talents

  • What a great song - love BJ! Not a big fan of Kenny Rogers, but this mix is really great!

  • Wouldn't we all love a BJ.

  • kenny rogers sings like a cat

  • if anyone gets a chance. listen to bj thomas "for the best" album. His best songs IMO .

  • BJ and Kenny made a good mix on this song

  • Perfect!

  • Once again, BJ shines above the rest. What a beautiful, smooth voice.

  • someone explain to me after watching this, how kenny rogers became the star and b.j. thomas didnt

  • management...recreation substances?

it sure wasn't lack of talent

I love BJ, his voice is unmatched

  • Wow great combination of master vocalists, and a well written Burt Bachrach classic that isseldomed played anymore. This was fun to watch and easy to listen to!5 Stars!

  • someone knows music, bravo. What a great look at 3 of the best, BJ, Kenny, Burt.

  • Great song! Wow, didnt realize this was Kenny Rogers, He dont look good here and now! He looked better in the Late 70s early 80s with white hair and beard.

  • BJ Thomas is a very handsome man. Kenny Rogers today looks not so great with all that plastic surgery.

  • BJ was so good looking back in his days and Kenny Roders is one of the few men that got better looking with age.

  • Vocal perfectionists...these guys are really good.

  • I love this video.

  • I've always been a big Kenny fan so this is intended to be mean spirited - but look at how big his head is.

Also I've seen him without white hair. When you think of him you think of the guy from the 80's trapped in time.

  • is = isn't -- isn't meant to be mean spirited

  • I love this song and B.J Thomas wonderful.

  • BJ thomas is very goodlooking here isnt he?:O

  • You betcha lldadserseres and he looked mighty fine tonight at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA and he sounded even better.

  • This is my favorite BJ Thomas song and we get a bonus with Kenny Roders singing wih him. What a nice surprise. Thanks to wleme for sharing.

  • Has to be the First Edition days for Kenny. :) "What condition my condition was in." I use to LOVE that song!

  • I love BJ Thomas. Great clip!

  • Not sure how many wresting fans would watch a BJ Thomas / Kenny Rogers video, but does Kenny remind anyone of Arn Anderson in this clip?

  • Yes. In fact, at the end of the set, he spinebustered BJ Thomas through the stage.

  • kenny looks funny with darker hair and glasses!

  • fantastic video, thanks for posting

  • Duas vozes belas e inconfundívies. Um achado esse video. One of my favorite songs

  • I love this song. What a find this video is. I love BJ Thomas. I have a tape of his music, but I wish I could find it on CD.

  • Would anybody have predicted back then that KR would become the "monster" superstar?

  • Kenny Rogers with an earing? Gosh... Love him tho

  • These two harmonise exceptionally well and both have unique qualities in their singing style and delivery. BJ has more range and technical brilliance and KR makes up for some of that with his subtle country style and smooth vocals. Great clip! thx

  • this song is so awesome...b j thomas and kenny did a nice job on this!

  • When the music wasnt SO loud BJ sounded fantastic! He has a soft mellow voice that can hit high & low notes but trying to get over that volume wasnt working.I wasnt trying to pigeonhole KR, I just think of him as country, I really don't recognise him here by his looks or voice cos both got a WHOLE lot better!I think BJ had a better p surgeon I hope KR sues the &^ out of his and pray his good looks return cos nobody can say he wasn't handsome!I pray we hear them sing for MANY years to come!!!!!!!

  • Thats Kenny ? I thought it was Gerry Rafferty or Hank Jr. !,,lol

  • Hahahahahahahaha. Nice comment.

  • let's be honest though; there is no mistaking THAT voice, regardless of what fashion he was into at the time.

  • they look so young=)

    awesome

  • More often than not, they and others - those extraordinary enterteiners who created the very universe of entertainment - remain as they first were, as they've taken our hearts first time so long ago in the kernel of ourselves, untouched by wordly adversity. Some say they grew older. I hear that but deep in my soul, they're still young.

  • BJ doesn't look too different from that today!

    Kenny? .....uh not so much.

  • That's cause BJ has quite a few wrinkles here already, Kenny still had quite a while before that happend to him!

  • It has been the same length of time for them both!! BJ has aged much better I agree, he looks almost the same, Kenny had baby pudge here shows no wrinkles, BJ has never let anyone smoke around him during his performances ect. hence part of the keeping of the looks. Lol, as far as singing, BJ's voice is intact, Kenny's sounds old now, as far as career, BJ didn't go mainline country like Rogers, Rogers has a country voice, BJ has a sing anything voice.

  • Rogers has the most diverse voice of the two and even now I still think he is the better singer. It is a voice better suited for Country, but works well in pop, rock, jazz, folk, etc. To pigeon hole Rogers as just a country singer is wrong, as he is much more than that. I have seen BJ live in recent years, as I have Rogers, and to say his voice sounds the same as it did in the 70s as it does now is not true. Neither does Rogers, but he is still great.

  • LOL, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on our ears perseption! Kenny is a great singer, actually , I think his voice got a lot better than it is here. I think of the song "Lady" in particular, my fav. of his. I haven't heard him live and I know that makes a big diff. On tv and live the sound systems can make a lot of diff. I know a couple times in the last BJ concert he sounded 'off' in spots, later I realized the changing of the band members the music was way too loud for his voice

  • Thank you for this!! LOL<kenny, should pay to get himself out of this one, Perfect BJ Voice on this, you are the King to me BJ, Elvis never had anything on you, he made the mistake sadly that fame brings, I am glad you didn't and I still go to your concerts any chance I can get. He still sounds the same ya'll!! Nobody can touch his velvet voice.

  • This song was so under played compared to B>J>'s other stuff(Raindrops,etc)..but without question an unbeleivable treasure from 1970...listening to this can only make someone happy

  • nice, but a little mellow. where's kenny's gray hair???

  • aybe he wasn't born with it....lol

  • A great song! I'm an Elvis Presley' fan but this version is great too!!!

  • Who is this guy with the glasses and what's he doing with Kenny Rogers voice? ; )

  • Kenny was d precursor of the new generation ringed ears hehehehehehe

  • I have been to several of BJ's concerts. Love his music.

  • Have another Twinkie, Kenny.

  • Kenny Rogers hasn't always had white hair?

  • love this...i watch it every now and then...

  • Voice of pure silk and with bed room eyes to boot!!

  • This song was written by the legendary songwriting team of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.

  • Beautiful song! B.J. and Kenny do a great job!

  • have seen BJ many times in concert, beautiful!

  • Nice to hear this original version yet Elvis put more 'soul'into his version of the BJ Thomas song. That was also funny that if you listened to the Elvis Presley version of wellknow songs like Yesterday,I'l remember you or whatever, he always seem to add more into a song then it' original creator.

  • Their vocals are live. The track is from the record.

  • They sound great together, however BJ is the real singer.I always thought Kenny Rogers was over rated. If you don't believe me, go to his show, it willbe the most boring concert you will ever see.

  • Wow! They should record something together, their voices compliment one another. It's too sad that Dottie West is gone. That would be great too.

  • liked it a lot

  • They sound good together

  • This is not live. Sounds like they overdubbed Kenny's vocals onto B.J.'s original recording. I love the song though.

  • Kenny in his prime. From the First Editions Rollin show

  • too good!

    thanks a lot!

    subtle

  • great!!

  • this song sounds like the sun rising.

  • Fantabulous !!

  • Awesome
