aww i wanted to see him in santa rosa this summer. my horses wouldn't let me go. 3 horses vs. cute blond guitarist -hmmmmm. horseys win. thank God for youtube!!!!
Noah Hunt's voice is just dead on no matter what he sings......this guy is one of the best in the business. No dis to Kenny but I hope ego does not tear this band apart like so many in the past because someone wants all the lime light. He owns the stage with his gun slinger style on the guitar but Noah is the voice and the two of them is what makes this band so great. Hope they keep grounded.
I heard Kenny in 2000 for this first time...and was blown away that I had not heard of him before. Kenny you are most definately keeping the blues...you rock :)
do any of you know anything about anything your always sayin i hate this or that or he is not as good as that one music has been around forever before you where born after you die people come & go music rocks on there is no one better than the next or the last just love what you love and let outhers do the same unless you have nothing better to do & thats ok all so stop beggin for thumbs up SRV was great KWS is great the blues where here frist than every one came after so peace from the 60s
One of the greatest guitarist and singers of all time.. whoever put dislike is obviously a guy who likes to be spanked by gorilla's and child molesters.
Wow that was really good! I'm a big SRV guy and that reminded me so much of him. Does KWS have other bluesy stuff like this that any of you KWS fans can turn me on to? Email me if u can mmm10680@aol.com thanks
FOR ALL YOU OPINIONATED CLONES OUT THERE WHO PROBABLY DONT KNOW AN E MAJOR FROM AN E-FLAT; THERE WAS ONLY ONE SRV AND THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ,JUST LIKE JIMI, BUT REMEMBER STEVIES MOTO"" AS HE ONCE TOLD A BEGINNER GUITARIST, WHEN ASKED THE QUESTION, WHAT SHOULD I DO TO BECOME A BETTER PLAYER ;SRV REPLIED,"JUST PLAY FROM THE HEART", AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT K.W.S. IS DOIN SO ALL YOU BLUES FIDDLERS OUT THERE LIKE PETER GREEN - AND HOSS BARNETT FROM MISSISSIPPI MUDD KEEP DOIN, KEEP ON BLUES-IN
I'm definitely in the minority group of people on here who just ain't buyin' it....this guy is an SRV clone minus the charisma and originality....if y'all want to hear a white boy NOT named SRV play some blues correctly with all the requisite fire, brimstone and authenticity, seek out some Peter Green....he shames this little vanilla copy-cat poseur...
So what if its obvious that Kenny is influenced by SRV? That's an excellent choice! Besides..EVERY time you turned around Stevie was covering a Jimi song!! Live on.. Kenny!
a monster no doubt. to be influenced is to to be human but find your own voice. stop stealing him blind. if he was alive you would have a law suit on your hands.
Instead of singing, you could be like Jeff Beck and just play without a voice. That's tough though, You gotta improv out your ass and to come up with the kind of harmonies Beck does, it takes a musical genious

to bad hes good, he could of been great but got washed out. man he was playing with srv as a kid, such a shame he never made a name for himself, his main setback was he cant sing, you have to be the hole package to be any good.
Oh my God ! I can't believe I've just randomly finally found his live clip right here, I was one of his fans so far, I like the way he does blues, I still have his CDs, but only have just 3 albums from his startin' work back then, he's still doin' the thing all great though, I assumed.
love the guitar work by kenny but the singing is awfull i bought one of his albums got to track 6 turned it off i just cant hack this guys shit voice!!
HAHA... I dont think his voice is THAT bad. Although I prefer his original singer Corey Sterling that sang on the first album. Anyone know why he quit or got fired???
Stevie got influenced mainly by Hendrix and A. King. KWS picked up guitar after attending an SRV concert. Leave 'em alone, let the legacy grow. Let the music play, let the blues live.
@Texusify I agree. To say you were influenced by some one, I expect to hear the influence come out through their music. Nothing wrong with that. SRV took a lot of blues guys styles and licks and wove them all together into his own interpretation of the blues and was not afraid to let his influences be known. The icing on the cake is that he got to play with a lot of his blues idols during his short career. what a life!
@Texusify I picked up my heart off the ground today and I'm about to spill it out vocally, KWS, SRV, Joe Cocker, Buddy Guy... So many inspirations that I'm about to break this chair. Never mind it I'm just gonna get up and dance! Love what you just said!
KWS is the best.... but he's the biggest case of an early wadshooter.... Ledbetter heights was their best album, with the best singer, and the best licks.... all original, no covers, and no undertones of SRV that I could hear anyways.... but I'll never turn down any of his music.... ever.
Love this man! And for them who says he copies Stive Ray Vaughan... Everybody gets thier inspiration from somebody and SRV is a hell of a man... Kenny takes it a bit further than SRV, a bit more rock n roll... I love him!
Kenny will never been GREAT until he developes HIS OWN STYLE.....for example...TOMMY BOLIN....he must stop copying The great Stevie Ray....he wont get anywhere doing what he is doing now. Dont get me wrong he is a fine guitar player....but that about it...nothing special.
i would have said the same but he is pretty good and has achieved an awfull lot. he comes across as very cocky but sure he is successfull so i suppose he has the right.
@wmc1103 There is no knockoffs in blues, it's all the same progression with different chords. Every Blues musician has their own style. that's the only thing to differentiate them.
@yahdstickman i agree and dont. the chords are pretty much the same, its what they do IN BETWEEN that separates them. and when someone goes as far as to copy srv's "in between" its usually lame. not that kws always does that, but when he does its awesome. btw, this songs structure is close to "pride and joy".
no surprise i mean its REALLY obvious that SVR was kenny waynes major influence during this time. Granted he also has a lot of louisiana blues influences as well... but sometimes it just feels like hes trying to be svr. Hes definitely good though
he has that guitar whipped!!!!!!!! i love it
