These are a complete load of tosh. Dreadful implementation and a waste of paint in my opinion. Take a look at the youtube user gaz545, and you'll see how shoddy they are.

Looks like a slightly snazzier version of a normal bike lane. I was hoping the scheme would include something to really improve the safety and attractiveness of cycling in London, such as a dedicated traffic light phase for bikes at dangerous junctions.

Unless these cyclehighways are physically separated from the car traffic the y are nothing more than a waste of blue paint - super gutters.

more than 3 cycle parking bars at location i hope, padded to protect the bikes and covered by cctv please.

better still, bike boxes so thieves don't just steal anything on the bike or just chop the lock.

i'd travel by bike far more if i felt comfortable about locking it up and finding it still there when i return.
