I dunno how the film's creators goofed so badly. Now before you jump me, I'm referring not to the film itself - excellent work - but one detail in it.

"Dhampir".

This is the actual word for a half-vampire, confirmed throughout many variations of vampyr lore. The term used in the film, "dunpeal", is most likely the result of them having misheard or mispronounced the true term. Then they forced us to run with it.

Like I said, they did good work on VHD: Bloodlust - but they're still skxawng.

Vampire Hunter D consists of a long line of novels (over ten and still going) which several are already translated and avliable in the states through Dark Horse. VHD has been made into TWO MOVIES based on two seperate books in the D franchise.

"Vampire Hunter D", which was made in the 80's and considered a cult classic.

The ''Cult Classic'' is a must see for any hardcore anime fan. It is obviously quite old and not comparable in animation quality to the animes of today, but one of my personal favorites. It also has some nice music x.x
