  • Hugely talented and beautiful lady still performing in 2011.......

  • Geweldig Kees

  • There's so much joy, hope and courage in this prayer. thankyou

  • The girl is STILL singing (and well too) I sang with her two years ago!

  • starting 1:14 what is that little break in her voice in the middle of a word when she sings "happy," and "glad," and "Father" and "Son", it reminds me of the girl groups in the early 60s and Ronnie Spector singing "who-oh-oh". it makes her voice sound very pop-py. She sings softer in later life, but she said Alex Bradford made them all sing VERY LOUD in his group! gives a whole different quality to the singing. Belting it out. 2:08 looks like "dare you not to say Hallelujah with me!!"

  • 1:03 you just go right ahead there with that piano, yeh

  • Thanks harodugan - I was sure she was british, guessing so for backing and working mostly in the UK.....

  • @19653343 She was American but moved to the UK in the 60s and still resides here.

  • WOW how young she is here in 1962, Thanks Madeline .......

  • It's amazing vocal technique applied by Madeleine and the intensity in the emission. Deep!!! #enjoy

  • Madeline Bell was a british backing vocalist : you can see her backing Dusty Springfield in the heartbreaking song "I don't want to go on without you"..In the 60's M.Bell also recorded good songs, with Dusty providing the backing vocals!!!!!!

  • She sure made me sure she made us love her!

  • I love 1:53 till the end of the song

  • Wow, singing from even 1962. Her career must at least over 40 years.

  • Madeline Bell appears at Ronnie Scott's Jazz club in London next week!

  • Professor Alex Bradford is playing the piano on this song and he's doing a good job too.

  • Thanks, what a treat!!!

  • Boy, Madeline had a powerful voice back then. The bradford singers are always a treat to see in person.
