I've LOVED the novel, Brave New World ever since I first read it in high school...it was a deep, intricate, incisive story that was well ahead of it's time.
That said, I really have to commend the guy who directed this piece of shit film for making sure NOTHING that I loved about the book is not horribly misinterpreted beyond recognition.

The 50s movie is way better. They don't go out of their way to make it look like modern society, they let the viewers figure it out. This movie makes it so obvious it kinds of dilutes the message.
I tried giving this movie a chance but I now refuse to watch anymore of it. This follows nothing of the book. First of all they're supposed to be in a Native American reservation, not a friggin trailer park. Secondly they're supposed to be British yet they're speaking with American accents. The directing is horrible, the acting is god awful. It's like they were deliberately trying to mock the book.
i don't remember the part where they crashed a helicopter, and got into a fight with an asian with a whip, and gary busey shot a gun, and bernard got kicked in the stomach, from the book.

The 50s movie is way better. They don't go out of their way to make it look like modern society, they let the viewers figure it out. This movie makes it so obvious it kinds of dilutes the message.

I tried giving this movie a chance but I now refuse to watch anymore of it. This follows nothing of the book. First of all they're supposed to be in a Native American reservation, not a friggin trailer park. Secondly they're supposed to be British yet they're speaking with American accents. The directing is horrible, the acting is god awful. It's like they were deliberately trying to mock the book.

i don't remember the part where they crashed a helicopter, and got into a fight with an asian with a whip, and gary busey shot a gun, and bernard got kicked in the stomach, from the book.

they did mention helicopters in the book so that part is right at least but the charectars and the savages are completly screwed up. bad movie
