the original transformers was co-produced by america's hasbro and some Japanese company (I forgot it's name)

but, all in all, transformers cybertron was all Japan baby

@TheTrueMoristhecat Ya.... but the Japanese version came out first, so the gender change was made to the American dub, which came out a year later. Which means America are the ones into the ladyboys :o

I had no idea that Override was a male in Galaxy Force until the other day. It doesn't really bother me, except it would take some adjusting to seeing as I was use to him being a female in Cybertron.

Or, if you know, read the comments you would know that the character was originally intended to be male. And was in fact male in the Japanese version.

In cybertron he was a girl america changed him to a girl because I guess they thought his body type would fit a girl character more. Its sort of like how crusadermon from digimon season 4 was a girl in the american show but he was a guy in the origional japenese show.

Digimon Frontier by the way, had the least amount of female characters. And Izumi is the only human female regular, the last three had at least more than one human female regulars, with 02 as the most crowded cast.

Overide (Nitro Convoy) was originally a male in the japanese Transformers Cybertron (Galaxy Force), the company that did the dubs for Cybertron felt that since Thunderblast (Chromia) was female, that they should have a female autobot as well. thus we have overide.

Also do keep in mind that, this series is orgininally japanese.

Then again, Japan pulled the same thing in reverse with the first Beast Wars series. ie. Turning Air Razor from a girl into a guy in the Jap version

In episode 5 of Transformers Cybertron Megatron asks Override if she knew who override was. Then override answers, you found HIM. It doesn't make sense.

You know it's kind of dissapointing that in the Galaxy Force version, Nitro Convoy/Override is not a girl like in Cybertron. I really think they really screwed up the genders.

Yeah they did screw up the Genders.. in Cybertron. He was originally meant to be a guy in Cybertron as well, but changed him to a girl b/c cartoon network wanted more females in the show..
