Brilliant vid Allan! You got everything spot on except the ignoramus at the beginning, I'm afraid I'd have given him a Glasgow kiss [off camera of course!]. Honestly I wonder if folk like that have a brain. Back to the vid though. I liked all the little clips of the loco crew going about their business and thought the fireman looked like the same one who was on the West Highlander with Mick Kelly with 44932 at Glasgow Central, but it wasn't Mick today. Great stuff Allan. Ken
Yes some photographers aren't at all bothered about what or who is around them as long as THEY get a shot. Mick Kelly did actually drive the train on the return and I believe he and others were instrumental in the organisation of the train which was for the benefit of a childrens cancer charity.
It all seemed to go very well indeed and there were more than the usual amount of people on the paltform to see this train. Cheers - Allan

There is always a few who are oblivious to the photographers around them. Also only too pleased to help with the number identification. Youtubes Mitchy754 was the guy with the DRS numbers in his book

Yes, pity the steam special was half an hour late leaving but as some consolation I had my very first ride on a EMT East Coast 125 HST set and I was dead impressed with the interior and the seating. I found it much better than the current day high-backed seating you get on the majority of mainline UK services these days.
Greast film Allan, Bit annoying the way othere nethusiasts all pile dover the yellow line. Never mond. ALways good to see a Scot at Carlisle. Barry
