  • I think the guy at 1:29 decided he wanted to do his Tarzan yell instead of finishing that part of the song.

  • You know you're a theater kid when you're sitting in musical rehearsal with your opposite playing and replaying this video laughing hysterically until you cry :P

  • 3:32-3:52 is the best!!! LOL

  • Press 8.

  • OH JEHAN

WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT'D BE YOU

  • "Here's to pretty boys, who went to our heads." *laugher*

"Here's to witty /GIRLS/ who went to our beds!"

Aww that poor Jehan, that must've been rather embarrassing xD

  • One word Hilarious

  • "Here's two pretty girls!" XD

  • 2460-AAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOt!

  • @LadyEaglestar18 That Hungarian bloke is priceless when he sang 24601. I just laughed and laughed. However I have heard him sing it without any mistakes and I have to say he is good.

  • i have been in les mis and twice in one our val jean lost his pants while carrying marius in the sewers and the other production our fauchelevent lost his while being pulled from under the cart

  • Lea seemed so sweet on the 25th anniversary! I guess she really got into character that night lol

And oh Jehan Prouvaire... very in keeping with your character as well.

  • Prouvaire! So brave of you to have come out like that, nonchalantly slipping it in!! lol

Oh, such is the joy of live theatre!

  • is there any video of the hungarian valjean screaming. I just would love to his face when it happened.

  • Omg. Day made!

  • Comment removed

  • Hungarian Valjean sounds like he's sneezing!! Hilarious! I had tears streaming down my cheeks :P

  • The commentary is half the fun on this video. :)

  • HOW HAVE I NOT ADDED THIS TO FAVORITES YET?!

This compilation always makes me smile. :')

  • My favorite parts are all the Enjolras parts, and also the 24601 part.

I always feel so bad for the Young Cosette! I have no idea what I would do in that situation!

  • That note the Hungarian hit made me giggle a bit...(;

  • 2007, not a very good year for broadway.

  • 2460aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaachoo

  • Comment removed

  • Skip to 3:45 to hear real singing

  • I really hope theres a sequel to this one day

  • @Nerpha I second that! And the Hungarian Valjean wins, hands down.

  • that valjean - THIS IS WHAT YOUTUBE IS FOR!

  • the london ones are from much up matines (the matine before a cast change - and they are EPIC!)

  • I have never laughed this hard at anything. Thank you!

  • HAAAA thats me that sings "Heres to pretty girls who went to our bed!!!" Poor Richard

  • At 3:48 was Valjean getting attacked by a bear? :/

"Who am I? 2460 OOOOOOOOOOOH GOOOOOOOOOOD A BEEEEAARR!!!!"

  • At 3:37 was Valjean getting attacked by a bear? :/

"Who am I? 2460 OOOOOOOOOOOH GOOOOOOOOOOD A BEEEEAARR!!!!"

  • 8 people can't rock a high note like Vikidal Gyula.

  • PRETTY BOYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yep. 3:33 is the funniest thing I've ever heard or ever will hear.

  • If you wanna see the hungarian Valjean live, search for "Les Miserables (Nyomorultak) - Rock Színház - 1987 - Szeged - Hungary part 3. " on youtube. The same happens from 9:30 :D :D :D but with picture too!

  • @Lakhesys Omg that was painful! It sounded like dry heaving. D=

  • Step 1. Press Play

    Step 2. Press 8 repeatedly

  • @mcfit707 sounds like some kind of machine whirring

  • It was the Hungary one I've been searching for foreever. EPIC!!!

  • I think 3:33 is the only thing in the world that kills me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

  • This has got to be one of the best musical bloopers video on youtube. Especially that Hungarian Valjean, that is just amazing. So full of win and awesome. It also seems that the Enjolras's have trouble hitting their high notes.

  • I absolutley love this!

  • I favourited this just for hungarian valjean xD

  • Poor baby cosette! She's a trooper, that one is.

  • This video made me die of laughter XD

But I don't really get what happened in 0:34 .___.

  • @pinayrin1 I think Valjean called Javert a 'son of a bitch'

  • @Stripes2331 Yep. That's what happened.

  • Oh my god. This video is made of him.

    -"Take us from behind."

-"Pretty boys who went to our heads."

    - Norm Lewis completely forgetting the words.

    - TWO. FOUR. SIX. OH. AAAAGHHHHHH.

    - And poor little Emma Hunton singing away when the fire alarm comes on.

  • @rachel869 Oh, that was supposed to say "made of win."

  • @rachel869 She is what we call a trouper!

  • @rachel869

Actually, the Valjean who was singing counter in the confrontation had messed up his lines- Norm must've gotten confused and became rather silent xD

  • @iAsian92: Y'know, I listened to it again, and it's actually Lewis who messes up first. Instead of singing, "Now the wheel has turned around. / Jean Valjean is nothing now," he sings, "Now the wheel has turned around. / Ev'ry man must choose his way." I think Gemignani got confused and started on the wrong stanza, and Lewis seems to have realized his own mistake at about the same time and gotten confused too. What a mess--poor guys. :)

  • @whistlingninja11

Oh my God you're right. That's SO SAD! They sound so confused, haha poor guys indeed!!

  • 3:49. Just that moment. That takes it all for me.

  • I love the Confrontation lyrics:

    "I am warning you Javert!

There is nothing I won't dare!

My- my race is not yet run

My race is not yet run!"

  • LOL Pretty boys!

  • Comment removed

  • @DearPrudence4ever And also: 2460 àààààààààààààààààà

    LOL.

These two are the greatest Miz bloopers.

  • Oh man, if that's him saying 'one', just imagine what he said when he took his flight.

  • OMG!! The Hungarian Valjean just made me pee my pants!!!!

  • I want 3:44 on a permanent loop.

  • 2!4!6!0!WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!

  • Am sorry but have tears streaming dowm my face at this vid! lol I saw Peter Corry in Bristol in 99.

  • Oh dear, I only just got what was happening at 0:34...

To whoever recorded this: Was there a reason Gemigna... Geminga...

Gemi-whatever called Javert what he called him?

  • @HenriJonathan All the recent productions have directed Valjean to get very angry with Javert in this scene, so as far as I know he was just getting a little too far into character. But there might've been hidden shenanigans or backstage drama behind it, who knows.

  • The "pretty boys who went to our heads" and "take us from behind" are both intentional. As someone pointed out, the London cast always goofs off the matinee before a cast change. There's this lovely recording of the cast change matinee a couple years ago where the ensemble all gasp theatrically after the "He maintained you made a present of this silver." "That is right." *GASP* Hysterical! These are intentional as well.

  • Once when I saw it, Thenardier took off Marius' ring on the line "even found me this fine souvenir" and it flew off his finger and into the orchestra pit. The look on his face was priceless.

  • I want to buy the Hungarian soundtrack now, just for the screaming Valjean!

  • 2460 AHHHHHHHH

  • 2460-AARAHHHHHHHTTT!

  • Hehehe, it's always *that* scene in the cafe, eh?

3:49 though is just extraordinary. What vocal cords!

  • ok, he is DEFINITELY not saying "one!"

  • Did he fall off the stage at 3:49 or something? Seriously...like WHAT THE?!?!?!

  • the enjolras on 1.00 was very sick that day! it was a special show, just for this day, he played the afternoon and in the evening drew sarich played enjolras with the notes in his hands^^

  • Wow ... that was LEGENDARY!!! I mean :P Nice!

  • Comment removed

  • ...Hahaha, did someone just shoot the loudhailer guy?

  • Aiiiii~~ This is ... thank you so much this is so utterly fabulous!! Nearly passed out from laughing on the "pretty boys" one alone! (...now, was that reeeally a mistake, or was someone going for their fangirl demographic I wonder..?)

  • I am highly, highly confused at Peter Corry as Javert.... Maybe the lyrics are different at the West End than they are on Broadway, but I mean what did he just like, improvise and make stuff up? I mean, that's not how I remember the lyrics going! hahah

  • @njishottlikeatamale He must've got confused with the lyrics. they really go:

They intend to starve us out

Before they start a proper fight

    Concentrate their force

    Hit us from the right

But because he got the words wrong and said

"They intend to stave us out

So they can see what the can find"

It made sense to end it with "behind" to make it rhyme. Double entendre notwithstanding.

  • @Crazface222 Haha I know how the lyrics are supposed to go, I just couldn't figure out why he was singing them wrong! He probably did get confused like you said haha

  • @njishottlikeatamale Actually, it may have been intentionl, like "pretty boys". Apparantly the London cats like to ham it up and screw around on last shows, although I don't know if that show was a last show. Could've just been a screw-up XD

  • @MadameChristie So the whole "pretty boys" thing was intentional? But it sounded like after that they put an emphasis on "girls",or maybe that's just me.... I suppose it might have been a joke, it's kinda hard to forget those lyrics, they're rather simple and slow.... Haha

  • @njishottlikeatamale Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was a last show thing, where the cast just screwed around with lyrics for the hell of it. The line was supposed to be "Here's to pretty girls" to rhyme with "witty girls" right after. I think it may have been meant be as a joke about all the slash that seems to follow the students around, from the novel, through to the musical, and especially in fanfiction. As I said, I'm not sure about Javert's screw-up. Could've just been him messing up *shrug*

  • @MadameChristie OH gosh, that would hilarious to go to...

  • They're all so good, but 3:49 had me laughing for 12 hours straight. This is EPIC! Thanks so much for putting this up and making my night!

  • wait was there really a fire? what happened..did everyone evacuate and finish later...?

  • haha! my favorite is at 1:45 when valjean sings "my race is not yet run" as if he is very confused. lol

  • OMG... 3.30 onwards has me in tears laughing! This is going to help me sleep tonight. I'm tiring myself out trying to laugh quietly through my tears. I'm actually struggling to breathe! HAHAHAHA!!! xxx

  • I atcually Loled at this! "When they take us from behind!" HAHAHA! Pretty Boys. This is just funny.

  • WTF 3:49

  • Screaming Valjean gets my vote for the 25th anniversary casting...but for the fact that its already finalized, that would be epic!

  • what has happened with the last part? what was going on?

  • @Ambertje300509 a fire alarm went off and they had to evacuate the building

  • Best Les Mis video ever. Period.

  • Where in the World is M. Thenardier????

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but Norm Lewis is the guy playing Javert in the 25th concert isn't he... oh dear

  • @musicgirl4ever1 It's Earl Carpenter in touring cast, Norm Lewis in the O2 concert. Hope that helped, I've been confused a bit myself. :)

  • @musicgirl4ever1 i saw him 2 days ago as Javert, and he blew my socks off. don't underestimate him.

  • @mgrh001 I've seen him in something else and he was amazing. I only commented as here he forgot his lyricand I thought it was funny.

  • @musicgirl4ever1 Yeah, but Norm was great. He didn't cock up.

  • the hungarian screamer valjean is the funniest thing i've heard in a long time.

  • wow, those are some fancy new confrontation lyrics!

  • My favorite is Alex Gemignani as Valjean and Norm Lewis as Javet in the Broadway Revival 2006 that starts at 1:34

  • @BenAllenmusic It's mostly because I was sitting on a giant pile of Bway revival audios when I compiled this thing. I'm sure there was no shortage of amusing mishaps in other productions, it's just that nobody was recording them.

  • 3:45 - 3:55

    makes me pisss my pants

  • Oh my God this has got to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard! I started DYING at 3:49! Oh Jesus, they should make sure someone can hit all the notes BEFORE they give them the part! I"m sure he was just having a bad day, but still! Hysterical!

  • I actually really liked the Mexican Enjolras' voice... that last note was unfortunate, though xD

  • 3:49. I JUST DIED. XDDDDDD

  • Why im not so lucky to see someone make a blooper on stage? the best blooper ive seen is just hitting a door softly and then it just opened a bit... but very funny!!

  • For me the Holy Trinity are Leonardo Luiz & Victor Wallace as Enjolras and of course....Vikidal Gyula as Valjean, that note took balls of steel!!!

  • Oh God, 3:39 never gets old :]] I feel for the final performer though; it must be a bit of a downer on the performanece!!

  • Okay major cringe for Norm and Alex, Imagine being on stage and that happening, its a horrible feeling, your head gets really hot and you just panic. Ouch 3:49.....

  • That was awesome! Now I don't feel so bad about Mr. Soames and Mr. Stimson! LOL

  • LMAO...poor Norm Lewis and Gemignani forgetting almost the ENTIRE confrontation and having to adlib it...To quote a previous comment, Victor Wallace sound slike he was getting a prostate exam...and Gyuala's scream is EPIC XD

  • the one from hungray is the BEST!!!!

  • lol . the Hungarian Valjean is hiliarious .. it's like Danny Gokey's "scream" at the end of Dream On on American Idol last year ... classic

  • could someone clarify two things:

    1. How was Lea Salonga allowed to randomnly whack in an f bomb!

    2. Did someone actually stab the Hungarian Valjean??

  • The Hungarian Valjean-FUNNIEST THING EVER RECORDED!! It sounds like he is getting stabbed at the end!

  • The Hungarian Valjean-FUNNIEST THING EVER RECORDED!!

  • Ok so My choir teacher found this, and played 3:32 over and over again. I was laughing so hard it hurt i was crying. LOL!

  • @QueenOVampires He didn't even TRY to hit a note... he just screamed!

  • the guy from hungry LMAOOOOO

  • The 'pretty boys' thing? Epic. So. Epic.

    (Makes sense it'd be Prouvaire. ;) )

  • Poor Cosette.

  • Still laughing after a year!

  • "Take us from behind"=best Freudian slip ever!

  • It was clearly planned. All the lyrics rhymed.

  • Hahahaha! Thanks for this. I am cracking up.

I'm confused, though, what's happening with the Gary Beach as Thenardier one? Clearly something is going wrong but I can't tell what..

  • he came on WAYY to late and left the Ensemble improvising for quite some time!

  • @JustPuppyLuv He came in late. Missed his cue or something

  • @JustPuppyLuv The Broadway revival was HORRIBLE during previews. It was like watching a high school's first rehearsal. The sound, the lighting, the stoic acting... don't remind me. One month later, however, much better. And when they brought in John Owen Jones, it became one of the most professional and breath-taking productions I have ever seen. Everyone stepped it up.

  • "Here's to pretty boys who went to our heads..." What a way to come out. Thank you so much for this video!!

  • Proves once more just how difficult the roles of Valjean, Enjolras, and Javert can be, LOL

  • When i saw it in Bergen in 2008 lasse lindtner who played javert made a mistake; he was going to tell valjean that he had an obligation to report to the police on a regular basis (the word for that is "meldeplikt") but he said "vikeplikt", meaning an obligation a driver has to stop when a car comes on your right side.

  • He did? xD I'm from Bergen too, but I didn't see the play when it was here =(

  • The Enjolras' had me crying with laughter. This video is without a doubt one of the best things on all of YouTube.

Hell, 3:49 IS the best thing on all of YouTube.

  • @MissLuxa Couldn't agree more!

  • What inspired Lea Salonga to add an EFF bomb like that in the show? Haha. I still think she's brilliant :-D

  • what happened in the castle on a cloud blooper?

  • the fire alarm going off haha

  • the fire alarm went off halfway through. poor girl.

  • Fire alarm went off.

  • 3:49 made me pee my pants laughing!!!! XDDDD

  • That was really good.

  • this is amazing. I love it and laughed for three days straight.

  • It happens even to the best of us. Confused as to why someone would continue to hold a note and keep forcing it when it isn't working though.

  • lol @ thenardier- yay for ensemble improv!!!

  • 3:49 killed my ears :)

  • LOL that was fantastic, but even professionals are humans, :D

  • Huingrian Valjean is my idol!!! That that epically hiralous! Mon Dieu! I couldn't stop laughing! Why is it that there were a ton of Enjy-bloopers? Pretty boys shouldn't think too hard about those high notes!"Pretty Boys", Thats something our peot friend might actually say.I feel bad for the poeple on stage waiting for Thenardiar, I've been on stage when somone frogets their enterance and its not fun. I feel bad for cosette and gavvie too, their just kids. But God bless all these others for this!

  • haha hey thenadier!

  • OMG this is hilarious!!

  • what does the gavroche do

  • I think it's just that everyone is silent and he's like "LISTEN!!!"...other actors just kind of messed up I guess. But I'm not sure.

  • ok thankx

  • He missed his entrance. He's supposed to interrupt them with the "Listen!" lines, but instead everyone is sitting there waiting for him to come in, including the music.

  • On the CDs though after Grantarie sings his part more people are singing.

  • I agree with werewolfXluver4. If I were Emman hunton i'd have benn freaked out when the sieren started.

  • i feel sooo bad for emma hunton, that must have sucked.

omg 3:49 has to be the greatest thing i've ever heard in my life XD

  • was the fire alarm at the performance in tampa, fl?

  • The Vienna and Hungarian guys are just EPIC

  • I laughed so hard at 3:49 tears were streaming out of my eyes. OH MY GOD!

The multiple bad Enjolrases were a scream as well, although first prize has to go to Victor Wallace for sounding as though he was getting a prostate exam at the last note.

    Thank you for posting this.

  • the hungarian one is fantastic

and i feel so bad for emma hunton :(

  • WTF! what made that valjean think it would be ok to do that! i couldnt stop laughing for like 5 minutes. I still laugh whenever i watch it

  • That Hungarian actor gets five stars and the whole video gets a favorite.

  • LOL WHAT IS GOING ON AT 3:49?? omg I'm dying.

  • I quite like the "pretty boys" - sexual equality in 19th Century France is the way to go.

The Hungarian Valjean is absolutely hysterical!

  • omg, 3:48 i had to go to the loo!

    and from 0:45!

  • what's going on with that list fragemt during castle on the cloud (or something else ( i know only the dutch titles)

  • The fire alarm is going off, and the girl doesn't know whether to stop singing or not..

What's the Dutch title of Castle on a Cloud?

  • "mijn luchtkasteel"

there are "2 versions" one from 1991 and one from 2008:P
