Making guns illegal does effect crime rates at all and some times crime rates go up, plus these sickening act will never stop unless these one person left alive, not to mention buying a gun illegally isn't hard unless you can't afford it. Plus I rather have a criminal come at me with a gun over a knife, mainly because a knife wont kill me as fast and god know what is on the blade surface so i might live but suffer massive infections.

Only recently have we banned guns from bars and airports and schools, and we didn't do it because of any credible threat ... we did it over fearmongering politicians scapegoating guns for other problems, or problems that simply don't exist. In the case of the nurses, not all the nurses need to carry guns, but it would be a good idea to have SOMEONE on duty with a gun. Regarding ADULT students with a license to carry, I see no issue.

The world may have fewer deaths if people of integrity could carry weapons. I am of the opinion that guns should be highly regulated for purchase. I don't think I should be able to buy a gun because I've had problems with severe depression. On the other hand, many of my professors and some of my friends are intelligent, stable people that could handle carrying a lethal weapon.
Intelligent people dont have any wish to get guns (not talking about smart people who are like calculators or library heads, but simply intelligent and nice loving people).

Half the guys in highschool carried guns in their rigs because they hunted before school. There was an instance where armed sudents at a college stopped a nut on a rampage. over %75 of attacks end by simply pulling out your gun. A church in Texas stopped a guy on a rampage because they had trained/ armed members.

Only recently have we banned guns from bars and airports and schools, and we didn't do it because of any credible threat ... we did it over fearmongering politicians scapegoating guns for other problems, or problems that simply don't exist. In the case of the nurses, not all the nurses need to carry guns, but it would be a good idea to have SOMEONE on duty with a gun. Regarding ADULT students with a license to carry, I see no issue.

I don't think I should be able to buy a gun because I've had problems with severe depression. By the time security even realize something happens, the gunman could easily kill a minimum of 2-3 full classrooms! On the other hand, if a few students in that room had guns, then they could easily dispatch him before that happens.

Security will not make a difference unless you are talking about going to the point of having one armed guard for every student following them EVERYWHERE on campus. That is the only way to guarantee it to be safe, and it will not ever happen. Guns are the best solution. A well armed society is a polite society.
