  • I don't really get the meaning to the song. So the world is saved by a song that brings life? is that it? sorry i never really played the games i just like the music since my bro introduced them to me :/

  • @Frostfire613 if you know what is that song for the lyrics makes more sense; at Ar Tonelico world, songs are used as magic and technology and can do nearly anything. Metafalica is a song created in the continent of Metafalss to "create land". Metafalss is a very small and arid continent were its inhabitants were starving, with problems of super population and etc, so a girl named Infel crafted a two-parts song called Metafalica, that when sung should create a new, more fertile, continent.

  • @Brrocklon OHHHH!!!!! Thanks for the explanation, it makes so much more sense now!

  • hearing this again really makes me sad that i gone with Jacqli back then...Of course Jacqli is great too^^

  • The game's too easy but DAMN the music is great

  • What an amazing voice.

  • Is there any website that shows how to pronounce any hymmnos?

  • @howcrazy123 try conlang.wikia.com /wiki/ Hymmnos

  • That's it; I'm learning Pastalia.

.....when I've gotten the hang of Central Hymmnos :/

  • Wow never heard of this before, just found it while looking for amv's. its beautiful.

  • @Dontgotaclue88 Thats Akiko Shikata for you, try listening to other songs by her.

  • This is my absolute favorite hymn! Go Cloche!

  • Fun fact: "Cloche's" name is not cloche, hate it when english translators do shitty jobs ¬¬

  • @necronzero

Fun fact: Yes it is, just as Chroah's name is 'Croix'. NISA did a shitty job, but they at least got Cloche/Chroche/Kuroshe's name right.

If it's not Cloche, then what is it?

  • Comment removed

  • It's Cloche because in Japanese, L doesn't exist... I think Cloche is better. Croche is like... crotch.

    ...Don't mind me...

  • ok, I don't care if its a stupid question or not, but I have to ask.

Does Hymmnos characters exist in real life?

  • Not that I'm aware of.. I think it's just for the game. I think it's like Crest/Banner of the Stars (anime show) where they have the Abh language but it isn't used outside the show.

  • i see, ok then.

if a choir sang this in real life, i'd die happy :)

  • Oh my friend, you heard of Akiko Shikata, surely, right? She's a singer for a few of the characters from the Ar Tonelico series. Akiko Shikata actually uses Hymmnos in some of her very own songs : ) Like her song EXEC_HARVESTASYA/. I think : D You should check her own albums out : D I especially like 'Raka' and 'Navigatoria' ^__^

  • She used Hymmnos is EXEC_HARVESTASYA because that's the final song of the first game, Ar Tonelico. She sang it for the game. >_>

It's the last song, where Aurica, Misha and Shurelia sing to the world.

  • Really? @__@;; I thought the last song was EXEC_PHANTASMAGORIA? Oh, then is Salavec Rhaplanca also in one of the games? Cause she used hymmnos for that one too... I think it's on her album Harmonia. Anyways, thanks for the correction ^__^;;

  • -__-; Okay, I lied, you're right. I confused Phantasmagoria with Harvestasya... But yeah, I remember hearing talk of Implanter and Rhaplanca in this song, so I'm fairly positive it too is a song.

  • It's fine xD To my knowledge, HARVESTASYA was just a song that Akiko Shikata either made or sung, that isn't part of the game itself. I think it's like Salavec Rhaplanca, like a song she made inspired from hymmnos and Ar Tonelico.

  • Yea the song Salavec Rhaplanca is the opening of Ar Tonelico 2 ^^!

the song exec_phantasmagoria is the final song for the first game.

Exec_harvestasya is the opening of Ar Tonelico 1

    I think so =P

  • Woopsies, a few mistakes there friend o_o;; Let me help:

Salavec Rhaplanca is a song that Akiko Shikata wrote, using hymmnos. It's part of a trio of songs that tell the tale of Ar Tonelico, Rhaplanca and Maoh~

EXEC_PHANTASMAGORIA/. is the final song for AT I, yes you're right : )

EXEC_HARVESTASYA/. is not the opening for AT I. It's another Akiko Shikata song. Think of it as a remix of Uta Oka ~EORIA~ or Singing Hill ~Eolia~, the opening for AT I : D

    Hoped this help ^__^

  • @MyraSlokov That's not quite true. There are a large number of people that are learning Hymnos so that it can be spoken RL. I've also found out that at people with Autism are learning the language, too.

  • @missdeona That's really interesting! =)

  • @missdeona

Autism? Learning a language that is based around emotion, for people who can't express or sense emotion...

...that's actually a pretty good idea.

  • Though I still do question the wisdom of having extremely ambiguous grammar and vocabulary for a language that sufferers of autism are learning.

  • @amitabho123 I beg to differ. You see, I am someone who has high-function Autism, and I have a very high affinity for languages. So far, I know ASL, English and Spanish, and I'm currently working on learning Japanese and Hymmnos. People like myself have many abilities that we excel in, and I'm probably not the only one that has one in languages.

  • @amitabho123 Also, on the topic of emotions, I do sense them and I do express them. My problem is that I don't read facial expressions on other people's faces too well. I'm working on that though.

  • @missdeona I understand you, but as a musician I have to be guided by what I can hear(tone, volume, etc) but it's not always correct

  • @amitabho123 Makes me smile realizing that your last sentence is obviously way more complicated than a lot of Hymmnos ones.

Did it on purpose, didn't you ? ^^

This song btw is nearly perfect to my ears, like many pieces of Ar tonelico's OST !

  • @LadyHermes Which sentence, lol?

  • @missdeona Can I ask you something? D8 People with Autism are learning Hymmnos...? Uh, can you explain? I don't understand but I'm seriously interested. DX

  • @akito989 Basically, it seems that some Autistic people can relate better to Hymmnos than to standard languages. That's the best way I can describe it, because at least to me, it's one of those things that is extremely obvious.

  • @missdeona Seriously?! That's awesome! Maybe soon Hymmnos will become an official language. xD Well, thanks a lot! That's one piece of AWESOME information~ 8Dd

  • @missdeona really? where did you read that? =)

  • @LevaniaDaemon About folks with Autism learning it? My mom's in a few online support groups, and once, she asked the members about Hymmnos. Some replied that their own kids (Autistic kids) were already learning the language.

  • @missdeona I have Aspergers, but really, I don't care xD

I love Hymmnos for the words that describe feelings

  • @LevaniaDaemon I do too, and I learned standard Hymmnos pretty quickly. I even made up my own language (Saeryennis) which has some words from other languages (one German, a few Japanese, a couple Latin and a few Hymmnos) but mostly it is comprised of words I made up on my own (like "katre" which means "happiness").

  • @cww1988

    conlang wikia Conlang:Hymmnos

    explains it all

  • can u post the lyrics for EXEC. PURGER Misha's version?

  • I´ve been looking for the lyrics long time.

The video is perfect, i loved it!

Can you tell me where can i find the lyrics of all songs? (EXEC. METHOD and Metafalica)

Please, It´d be a very great help!

  • And try going to artonelico isisview. That is where the new Ar tonelico forums are located (together with revisions to the translation that are in your source). :)

  • You're a genius! Thanks ^_^

  • It's pretty well done, but there are various mistakes here:

    1) You missed various lines of chorus: one at the start, other that should show up around 0:19, and three that show up from 3:53 to 4:09.

    2) The line of chorus at 2:41 should say "hYAmmrA cEzE hymmnos ceku", which means "I will be glad to become a song, and sing for my companions".

Plus, you didn't say what was the source from which you took the translation.

  • Nothing's ever perfect haha

Thanks for pointing that out though.
